About: I've taken care of cats since I was a kid and have a cat who has been my best friend for 12 years. I have lived with dogs and adore them! I know how to look out for signs of distress and keep the pet areas tidy. I work from home and am happy to do visits before noon and after 6pm. Please let me know if you need a time outside of that! I will follow your safety instructions for your home and be sure to open the door very slowly to ensure your pet doesn't run out of your home. Happy to help with bringing the mail in when I visit.
“Zemo loves his stays with Edgar & friends! He always comes back tired from all the play time. Edgar is fast to respond, and friendly at pickup and drop-off. Anything I bring with Zemo is always neatly packed back into the bag it was brought in. Zemo himself seems well-cared for and happy at pickup, and looks calm and happy in any photos sent during the stay.”

“Kristin is an excellent caretaker for our puppy! This is the 2nd time we have booked with her and we have our 3rd booking coming up in July! Our puppy just loves going to her home and has so much fun playing with her dog! 😊”

About: I am a Registered Veterinary Technician at a shelter I used to volunteer for, and have had my own dogs and cats my entire life. I’ve recently gone part-time and would enjoy walking your pets or stopping in for those needed potty breaks. I used to walk dogs for the shelter I now work at. I also foster animals for them, most dogs and puppies. I work at the shelter Thursdays and Fridays. I am available other days of the week on a part-time basis. I don’t have preferred days in mind at this time. I will certainly follow all instructions provided and will treat your pet as my own while in my care. I will respect and properly care for your home environment.
“Barb was not only accommodating to my last minute needs but she kept me posted daily with photos (per my request) and brief texts letting me know my dog was adjusting to an unfamiliar place. Her house was very dog friendly and having a fenced in yard and neighborhood for walks was perfect for my senior dog. This was my first experience leaving my dog with anyone outside of family and she made the process as comfortable as possible. I will be using her services in the future if I find myself in need, and have already recommended her to friends and family. Thanks again for everything, Barb!”

“Deb is a great care giver. During the last visit, one of our dogs experienced a stroke. She immediately called us to inform us and went beyond what we asked her to do. She is very caring and researched the internet to see what she could do to help the dog. By the time we picked up our dog, she was already showing some improvement. I would not hesitate but to recommend her and will most likely use her again if she is willing.”
“Cindy was great. She helped us out when we needed someone quick. Sam seemed like he had a wonderful time with Cindy! Sent updates as to how he was doing thoughout the night. Definitely will have Cindy watch Sam again if needed.”

“Kristie is awesome! Our dog felt right at home with her and her family. You can tell that Kristie loves dogs and makes each dog that she cares for part of her family. I highly recommend her and plan to always use her for future stays.”
“Nicole was such a life saver! We needed her for a last minute trip and she was so gracious enough to watch our puppy, Luna. She updated me with pictures multiple times per day and always let me know what was going on. Will be reaching out to her again if we need a sitter!!”

About: I am a pre-veterinary student who works at an emergency animal hospital in order to complete my hours for vet school. I have experience with giving injections, administering medications and preparing special diets. I am also an avid runner and hiker. I enjoy the outdoors and can walk or run with your pets! I have a cat of my own and have had large breed dogs as well as pet-sitting experience with dogs, cats, exotics, and farm animals. During the summer and holidays I often house-sit while families are on vacation. My schedule is often flexible and I can do daily visits or walks as well! I can also care for pets with separation anxiety, high-energy breeds, or pets with special needs or health issues.
“Nea’s time with Mary went so well! We will definitely book with Mary in the future. She sent pictures videos of Nea while we were away and also sent us texts everyday letting us know how she was doing. Nea came home tired from getting to play with Mary’s sweet dogs. We are grateful she had a great time. Thank you!”

“Best sitter ever goes above and beyond my puppy loves his company and environment. He will send daily updates and pictures/videos of your dog and walks them. Will always use his services”

“John’Asia is an excellent caretaker. My puppies were very well taken care of, and I am so happy she could care for them overnight. John’Asia is professional and highly reliable. I will be booking with her again.”

“Auggie absolutely loves staying with Beth! He has so much fun with her and the other dogs that he starts getting excited as we get close to her house. She provides excellent care and communication with regular updates and the cutest pictures. I am at ease knowing that he is having the best time while we’re away! Can’t say enough good things about our experiences booking with her and would highly recommend 💯”

“Charlie looks forward to going over! He gets spoiled and pampered when he's there. She's our go to baby sitter everytime we go out of town. We always get quick responses and we also receive pictures through out the day. If you need a baby sitter this is the perfect place to be.”

“Lisa took great care of Lulu. It usually takes her a few days to bounce back to normal after boarding, but after the week with Lisa she was her normal self right away. Eating, sleeping and playing like her normal self. Lisa was also great about communicating with us during Lulu’s stay with her. Will definitely book with Lisa again.”

About: Hello fellow fur parents! I'm Caitlin, I am a fur mama myself, not to just those I own, but to everyone else's pets but to also the strays. I know how it feels to have to leave your furbabies in someone else's care, especially to someone you never even met. It's worrisome and not a go-to situation. But I can put your mind at ease. I promise, your pet will be cared for and treated as if it were my own child too. I love all animals, no discrimination of species, breed, age, health problems, nothing. Caring for animals is what I love and do best. I love being able to give others the sense of relief knowing they left their animals in good hands and can enjoy their time away without having to worry. And to make you feel extra comfortable, I send videos and pictures along with detailed updates every couple of hours. So go on and take that weekend get-away, family vacation, road trip & know you left your babies with someone reliable and trustworthy. I have years of experience including professional. I also caretake in livestock with extra charge. With my current schedule, I am available in the late afternoons, evenings and nights, including overnight stays. I will only be away for the mornings until the late afternoon for work. Your furbaby will then have their entire afternoon to play outside to their hearts content, get some dinner, then enjoy their evening/nights getting all the lovins and relaxion until it's time to sleep. I have a dog of my own along with 2 cats. Your dog will have to be cat friendly to stay. No exceptions. I have large yard with plenty of space to run. It is not fenced but it is far from the road and any dangers. They will be attended to at all times, so they will always be safe.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lambertville
Aaron was great. He was so great with my little 10 year old poodle - right from the start! He picked Sandy up at the train station where I arrived. I had to finish up a phone call, and he had Sandy on his lap and stroking him. I could see he loved and was good with dogs. He kept me updated with photos and reports. I would highly recommend Allen

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
