About: I love dogs.I grew up with dogs.I’m kind, patient, gentle, and caring. We have a 2 y.o.Lhasa Apso. I hope to see your fur baby soon!! I am home more frequently at the moment. I have time to care for pets. Plenty of time. To play , walk, and board fur babies. Zola is on a potty schedule which works great. She is walking on a retractable leach twice a day and often times plays ,sleeps, etc in my room or throughout the house. She eats typically 3 times a day, more is she likes.
“Zemo loves his stays with Edgar & friends! He always comes back tired from all the play time. Edgar is fast to respond, and friendly at pickup and drop-off. Anything I bring with Zemo is always neatly packed back into the bag it was brought in. Zemo himself seems well-cared for and happy at pickup, and looks calm and happy in any photos sent during the stay.”

About: I understand that people need services for their pets as most people are heading back to work after being remote for over a year. Most people are heading back to the office four times a week in 2026. I work from home three to four days a week so I am able to provide the extra care at an affordable rate in the comforts of your own home. I regularly house sit for different animals. I have watched horses, lambs, dogs, & cats. I grew up with always having pets and never without. I’m available at different times throughout the week and mornings on the weekend since I work full time. Since I work from home, I would love to help other pet owners. Feel free to message for additional details. I took a break from Rover due to the loss of my golden retriever. But I am happy to be back and assist anyone. I can stop over to crate, let out for a potty break, house sit, and take your pet for walks. I do will offer boarding in my home for the right person. I’m pretty flexible in my time so please reach out for questions that you may have. This will allow us to get to know each other. I make sure your animal is my number one priority in my home or yours! If I have to stay a little longer; that’s totally okay. I hope you don’t mind if I bring my work laptop if my stay is over an hour.
“Oreo loved Birdie, and I can tell she loved him back! She sent me a lot of pictures and I could tell my Oreo was loving her always cuddling and playing with her. We are definitely coming back to Birdie. It was the first time we ever left Oreo with anyone outside family and he did great.”

“Charlie looks forward to going over! He gets spoiled and pampered when he's there. She's our go to baby sitter everytime we go out of town. We always get quick responses and we also receive pictures through out the day. If you need a baby sitter this is the perfect place to be.”

“Logan and Ellie are amazing people. We left our dogs with them and couldn’t be happier. They took such great care of them and kept us updated the whole time, sending us photos, which gave us great peace of mind. We will definitely book with them again.”

“Maxi had a great stay with Emily while we were out of town. She kept in touch with updates and pictures every day. We couldn’t ask for a better person to care for Maxi.”

About: I have grown up with and cared for dogs of all ages and breeds! I have always had a very deep connection with them, which has made it very easy for me to understand and meet any and all of their needs. I am currently working part-time, and have a good amount of free time available. I would LOVE to spend it by hanging out with your pup(s)! I make my own schedule for my current job, so if there is ever an emergency and you need a last minute sitter, please send me a message and we can definitely work something out! Our backyard is NOT fully fenced, however, I am no stranger to leash walking! My dog Luna actually prefers to walk with other dogs (she's a rescue and has never been an only dog), and loves to make new friends! A proper introduction is always required, with all parties present, and your pet MUST be up to date on vaccinations and flea/heart worm prevention. This is to ensure the health and safety of our fur babies.

About: Hi! I’m Lily, and caring for animals is genuinely one of my favorite things in life. I’ve had pets my whole life and have also worked at a doggy daycare, so I’m very comfortable handling dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I own dogs myself—they’re very docile and love having friends—so I understand how important it is to find someone you fully trust with your pets. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including anxious pups and dogs with special needs. One of my dogs is deaf and responds to sign, so I’m especially patient, attentive, and tuned in to nonverbal communication. Whether your pet needs high-energy playtime, structured walks, or just a calm and comforting presence, I’m happy to meet them where they’re at. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I’ll treat them like they’re my own—lots of love, attention, and updates so you never have to wonder how they’re doing. I’m reliable, communicative, and genuinely excited to meet your pets. I can’t wait to give them the care they deserve! I do work 730-330 M-F but my partner (Jeremy) is home by 2:30 PM every day, and we’re both home in the evenings, so your pet will have plenty of supervision, attention, and company. We make sure pets are never left alone for long periods and always prioritize their comfort and routine. I’m happy to work with your pet’s specific schedule and needs—just let me know what works best for them! Your pet’s safety is my top priority. We have a fully fenced-in backyard with turf, providing a clean and secure space for safe outdoor play and bathroom breaks. Inside, our home is pet-proofed to prevent access to anything unsafe, and we always supervise interactions to ensure a calm and controlled environment. I’m attentive to each dog’s behavior and needs, and I take introductions slowly to make sure everyone feels comfortable. You can trust that your pet will be in a safe, secure, and well-managed environment at all times.
“Lisa is so incredibly sweet and upbeat and knowledgeable about animals! She was always communicative and was willing to be flexible when my travel was impacted out of my control. My dog Scoobie adores her and loves her house and it’s amazing she has a backyard and plenty of room to play ball with my little one inside! Will be booking again.”

“Madison sent pictures and videos of my dog while he boarded at her house. I knew he was in good care and company as she has dogs of her own, so she knows exactly how to properly take care of a dog. She has even dedicated one area to her home just for dogs who are boarding. She is very flexible and accommodating as well. If in the future I need to board my dog again, I will choose her as I feel that my dog will be in good hands.”

“Rachel was so kind, communicative and flexible with us being from out of town. We knew from meeting her and all the photos she sent that our dog Opal was in great hands overnight. Thank you so much again Rachel! I highly recommend her if you’re looking someone to watch over your pet.”
About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life. Growing up my family had a golden retriever, Yorkshire terrier and beagle lab mix. I recently lost my 17 year old cava-poo. I’m currently working part time and have Mondays and Fridays available to help you out any way I can. Weekends are also flexible for your needs. I have a fenced in backyard to keep your dog safe. I also have a large crate inside if needed. My cat is super friendly and gets along with all pets.
“Jenelle and her family genuinely took the best care of Hallow and gave multiple updates with pictures and videos. My dog was actually sad to leave there and was so comfortable, I almost felt bad taking her from them!!”

“Cindy is wonderful and has dog sit for my family for a few years now. I don’t worry when leaving my pups with her because shes so good with them and treats them like she would her own.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sylvania
Julie and Rick are amazing. They took such good care of our 2 pit bulls. Our girl was very anxious and really didn’t want us to leave, and our boy is in an old man and prone to accidents at night. They actually slept with our babies to keep them calm. They sent updates and pics to let us know how they were doing the whole time. I couldn’t be happier!

I cannot recommend Prakash highly enough for his outstanding dog sitting services during our Labor Day weekend getaway. Over the course of three days, Prakash demonstrated the very qualities that distinguish an exceptional pet caregiver from merely adequate ones. From the outset, Prakash went well above and beyond our expectations by offering to handle both pickup and drop-off services – a thoughtful gesture that eliminated any stress about transportation logistics and showed his genuine commitment to convenience and service excellence. This level of consideration immediately set the tone for what would prove to be exemplary care. Throughout the weekend, it was evident that our dogs were in the hands of someone who possesses that rare combination of natural affinity with animals and professional reliability. Prakash displayed remarkable attentiveness to our pets' individual needs and personalities, ensuring they felt comfortable and secure in his care. His patience and gentle demeanor clearly resonated with our dogs, who returned home relaxed and content – always the ultimate testament to quality care. What particularly impressed me was Prakash's reliability and trustworthiness. He maintained excellent communication regarding scheduling and demonstrated the kind of responsibility that allows pet owners to truly relax during their time away. His punctuality and professional approach reflect someone who takes his commitment to both pets and their families seriously. The only area where I see room for enhancement would be in the frequency and detail of photo updates during care periods. While the dogs were clearly well-supervised and happy, more frequent visual check-ins would provide additional peace of mind for anxious pet parents. Prakash embodies the qualities every pet owner hopes to find: genuine love for animals, dependable character, flexibility in accommodating special requests, and that intuitive understanding of what makes each dog feel safe and loved. He treated our beloved companions as if they were his own, and that caring approach made all the difference. I would not hesitate to book Prakash again for future pet sitting needs and recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone seeking a dedicated, trustworthy caregiver for their furry family members.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
