About: I have had many animals throughout my life. I have also cared for friends’ animals when they go out of town. Your fur babies will be well cared for with me! I am a stay at home mom to teenage boys, so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I am home all day most every day, so you can rest assured your pet is getting one on one attention every day of their stay! I have a fenced yard and a 9-pen boarding facility at my home. Each pen has access to a private, fenced potty area and your dog can either participate in group play or have private one-on-one play if they are more shy.
About: Hi there! My name is Haylie and I’m a nursing student at UTMB. I’m a lifelong dog lover and proud owner of nine amazing pups of all different breeds and sizes. Taking care of them every day has given me tons of experience with all kinds of personalities, routines, and special needs. I truly love spending time with animals and making sure they feel happy, loved, and well cared for. Since I was unable to bring my dogs to school with me, I’d love to help take care of others! Whether it’s playtime, walks, or snuggles, I’ll treat your pets like part of my own family! As a nursing student, I’ve learned how to balance responsibility, care, and time management — skills that carry over perfectly into pet sitting. I usually finish my classes around 4 p.m. most days, which gives me plenty of time in the afternoons and evenings to care for pets. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. I make sure every pet is well looked after, loved, and secure while their owners are away

Since I’ll be caring for pets in their own home, I’ll always follow your instructions and keep them on their normal routine. “We love Katy! I have a special needs cat and she handled him with no problem (other than a little cat wrangling him from a few hiding spots!) She responded and communicated with us very well and I can't give enough stars. Thank you Katy!!!”

About: As a family very familiar with farms I've been around a multitude of animals from large livestock, goats to rabbits, cats and dogs from a very young age. I absolutely adore going above and beyond for your pet! Every animal I interact with is going to get the same premium treatment my pets do. I worked in a vet office as a veterinary technical assistant during my senior year as well. I am currently a student going to Texas A&M Galveston for my Bachelor's and Masters degrees, I plan to go fly planes into hurricanes for data collection! I have classes late into the day Tuesday and Wednesdays but besides that I am very available for early mornings before 10 and afternoons after 130! weekends are on a case by case basis. I live in a dorm but am more than happy to take your fur baby to the park or stay in your home and the safe environment they know!
About: I’ve been around animals since I was 8 years old and have cared for a wide variety of pets, including dogs, cats, and small animals. I’m comfortable with all sizes and breeds, from small to large dogs, and I understand that each pet has their own personality and needs. My experience has taught me how to be patient, attentive, and responsive to animals, whether that means keeping up with an energetic dog, giving extra care to a shy pet, or maintaining a consistent routine. I truly enjoy being around animals and treat every pet like they’re my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I’m a full-time online college student, which gives me a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive and consistent care. As a single mom to a 9-month-old, I spend most of my time at home, so I’m already in a routine that supports being present, reliable, and responsive to pets’ needs throughout the day. Pet sitting and drop-ins align well with my lifestyle, allowing me to balance school, parenting, and caring for animals without conflicting with a traditional work schedule. I’m able to incorporate feeding, playtime, litter care, and companionship into my day while maintaining a calm and structured environment. This also gives me the opportunity to do something I genuinely enjoy—caring for animals—while earning income in a way that fits my current responsibilities. I take the safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet very seriously. I follow each client’s instructions closely to maintain their pet’s normal routine, including feeding, litter care, medication if needed, and any specific care guidelines. I approach each pet with patience and respect, allowing them to feel comfortable and secure in their own environment. I also treat every client’s home with the utmost respect. I keep spaces clean and tidy, follow all house rules, and ensure doors, gates, and entry points are securely handled. I am mindful of security and privacy at all times, and I leave the home as I found it or better. My goal is to provide reliable, trustworthy care so pet parents feel confident and at ease while they’re away.

About: With 21 years of military service, I bring a unique blend of commitment, discipline, and attention to detail to every aspect of my life. I grew up as part of the Future Farmers of America (FFA), where I gained extensive hands-on experience in raising pets. This foundation in animal care has shaped my practical approach to dog and cat husbandry. Currently, I maintain a diverse array of animals, including a black lab that I personally trained for duck hunting, a cat I’ve leash-trained to go on walks, a turtle, and a small-scale quail farm. My experience has taught me the importance of precision and organization, which I apply to managing my pets, ensuring everything is in top shape and that the animals receive the best care possible. I finish my workday in the early afternoon on weekdays, and I prioritize your pet during my free time. Your pet’s care will always be my top focus. I’m also available for early morning visits to accommodate your schedule. I treat our pets like family. Without children of our own, our 'fur babies' are everything to us. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
