Sarah was fabulous! We did a meet and greet prior to her coming so she could meet the pups. She is super sweet and very communicative. We got pictures each visit and she definitely did a great job. We will be using her again in the future.

About: What sets me apart is the love and care I bring to every pet I look after. I’ve always had a special connection with dogs and understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and unique way of showing affection. From energetic pups who love long walks and playtime to older dogs who prefer a little extra patience and cuddles, I enjoy getting to know what makes each pet feel happy and comfortable. I treat every dog as if they were part of my own family. I’m attentive, patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoy the little things—from a happy tail wag at the door to cozy cuddle time. My goal isn’t simply to “watch” your pet; it’s to make them feel loved, safe, and cared for while you’re away, giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I work full-time Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, but I’m available after 5 PM on weekdays and have full availability on weekends. I truly enjoy spending my free time caring for pets, giving them plenty of love, attention, walks, and companionship. Your pet’s happiness and comfort are important to me, and I’ll treat them like family while you’re away. I provide loving, respectful care in your home while keeping your pet comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow their normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention. I’m respectful of your home, attentive to your pet’s safety, and will keep you updated so you can feel confident they’re happy and well cared for.

About: Need an extra dog mom? I'm your gal! With over 12 years of experience watching over others animals, I've done and seen almost all of it. (Though, there are some things that still surprise me every now and again!) Big or small, I've cared for them all! I do drop in visits, walking, baths, nail trims, and in home boarding for dogs 50lbs or less. Not that I don't love gentle giants, they just take up a lot of space! I also have two sisters who are vet techs so if I need them for any reason they are on stand by. Anyways, if you're in need of an extra hand during the day or an overnight stay, please reach out! I'm home all day every day so my schedule is pretty open. If I'm doing drop in visits I prefer going around noon but if I need too, i will make exceptions and go earlier or later depending on what my pet parents need. When doing overnight boarding I make sure everyone is fed, watered, and comfortable. For dogs, I make sure they have plenty of opportunities to go on walks and go potty. I have a fenced in yard where they can roam freely for outside time (supervised of course) When doing inhome visits, I pretty much implement the same care making sure to follow instructions left by the pet parents if applicable.

About: Hi. Our first dog when I was 6, aLab. An Irish Setter joined the family about 7 years later. Since then more dogs and then during the last 5 years some casual cats. I do some driving for my two sons, school, work, and such but the rest of my days are mine. Early AMs not a problem and preferably not later than 10PM. I am currently only offering dog walking and check in visits. Mentally healthy dogs like me. I'm also pretty good connecting with not-so-mentally-healthy dogs. I'm pretty empathic.

About: Hi! We're Ashley and Chantelle, a dependable animal-loving couple who treats every pet like family. One of the biggest benefits of booking with us is that Ashley works from home, so your pet will receive plenty of attention, supervision, and care throughout the day. We're also proud pet parents to two dogs of our own—Mylo, who is 8 years old, and Rose, who is 4. Caring for them every day has given us firsthand experience with different personalities, energy levels, routines, and the love and attention dogs need to thrive. We enjoy staying active and providing walks, playtime, belly rubs, and lots of affection. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, young, or senior, we'll follow their routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. We believe in reliable communication and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands. We believe pets are family. Unless requested by the owner, dogs are not kenneled and are free to relax, play, and enjoy our home just like our own dogs, Mylo and Rose. We look forward to meeting you and your pets! 🐾❤️ Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine. Ashley works from home, so pets are supervised and cared for throughout the day with plenty of attention, potty breaks, companionship, feeding, walks, and playtime. After Chantelle gets off work, we continue walks, play, and care together, making sure pets receive consistent love, structure, and attention throughout the day. We prioritize safety, trust, and a calm, pet-friendly environment. At our home, we have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time and supervised play. Pets in our care are treated like family and are never left unattended during outdoor time. We maintain a clean, comfortable space where pets can relax and feel at ease. Dog daycare is also available in our home with plenty of supervision, attention, and care throughout the day.

However one 136lb CORSO and 56lb PIT TERRIER MIX. She just fit in with them without any issues. Mia. Thank you again. I will be calling you again soon

About: I know how stressful it can feel to leave your pet with someone new. My goal is to give you peace of mind by treating your pet like they're part of my own family. I am a certified Vet Asst with a lifetime of pet experience. After years of caring for pets, I've learned that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I take the time to make sure each pet feels understood. I currently have 3 dogs and 8 cats, including a few fosters. Pet care is my full-time job, so I am available throughout the day. During each visit, your pet will get more than just the basics. They'll get attention, playtime, enrichment, and the care they're used to receiving at home. You can expect clear communication, timely updates, and plenty of photos so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing while you're away. I don't just see pets as another booking on my calendar. I see them as family members who deserve patience, attention, and care.

About: I take care of other people’s pets like I would want someone to take care of my two fur babies! I’ve worked with cats, dogs, lizards, and exotic birds. I was a keeper at a wildlife ranch and have also worked at a pet resort so I have experience with a little bit of everything, and there’s nothing that can surprise me! I’m currently unemployed but applying for jobs, I love animals and have a passion for working with them so I will make time for the clients that need help. I have experience crating/kenneling cats and dogs and have worked with a diverse range of breeds as well so I understand needs look differently for every animal.

Robin was awesome with my cat Peanut! Always on time, great pictures, and super considerate. One of my smoke alarms started beeping while I was away, and it was stressing out my girl, so Robin let me know and we worked together via text to get the smoke alarm sorted. She even put on the TV as background noise afterward to help Peanut feel better. That was above and beyond and I could not have been more grateful. I can definitely recommend her for anyone looking for a great pet sitter that will provide peace of mind while you're away.

Joshua did amazing with our pup. We had 2 visits a day scheduled, and he mentioned she looked very lonely and seemed like she had been holding her bladder for awhile between visits, so we added a third mid-day visit and he said she perked right up.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 1,463 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across San Leon. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a San Leon stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in San Leon. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
