“Once a month I have to work late & that’s sometimes been a struggle getting Fizz fed, pottied, and NOT left for more hours at home than I’d like to — Kristina & her family are truly a blessing! I so appreciate you keeping him later that day, feeding him on schedule, and picking up my happy, relaxed dog when I’m done — as well as the flexibility for not knowing exactly when I’ll be done!”
“Kimberly took care of our Beagle puppy while we were in town visiting family for a holiday. She was incredibly nice and professional in her communications, and did a great job taking care of our high-strung pup. Would 100% recommend!”

About: I’ve had animals my whole life. The past 3 years I’ve cared for family and friends fur babies. Would love to expand my services and care for yours! I’m comfortable working with small to large breed dogs, high energy pets, senior needs. I left my career to stay home and raise my grandkids. Which leaves me time to care for your fur babies and meet all their needs. My home sits on 10 acres and is fully fenced. I have 2 friendly dogs that are well socialized with other pets. You fur baby will be treated like part of the family wether inside or outside. I can easily crate your dog if needed.

“Great visit with Janet! Our dogs can be a little nervous in new environments and she was just wonderful with them both! Super happy we have found her, because we know they will be in good hands.”

“Annie had a great time with Terry, his wife Fernanda and his dog Ally! They were great at communicating and sent photos and videos of Annie playing throughout the day. Definitely recommend them to watch your pets!”

“Ericka was great with Pano. She was able to watch him late due to my work schedule. She provided an update on how he was doing during the visit. He seemed happy after I picked him up. I would use her again in the future and recommend her to others. :)”

“Annie had a great time with Britnni and all her fur babies and kids! Such a welcoming environment and lovely yard. Annie loves to run and play so having other doggies for her to play with was great! She came home tired and ready for a nap😊”

“Angela & Ashlyn were great with my Pano. They were able to take him even tho I gave them a very short notice. They were kind and gentle with my older dog. They sent me pictures and videos throughout the stay. They walked him out after the visit to my car. I would work with them again and recommend them to anyone. :)”

“Jen was a very good '1st time meeting right from the get go'. Huey got to play with her dogs that were actually his own size which was a bonus! Relaxed atmosphere and easy to talk to. Definitely like her country, fenced in area for the dogs to run.”

About: Hi! I’m Taya (: I live in Cowiche, WA (about 15-20min from Yakima). I’m a 22 year old college student who is a certified animal lover 😊. I’ve grown up surrounded by all animals - dogs, cats, fish, horses, cows etc. I’ve done pet sitting/walking off and on for about 6 years now. My family and I have a few fur babies of our own - 2 Dachshunds, 1 Rottweiler, 1 Belgian Malinois, and 2 cats (: My schedule is pretty flexible, as I take college classes online and I’m a certified HCA/CNA and my schedule for that is not full at the moment. I’d love to be your next pet sitter! I’m available throughout the week and weekends for pet sitting, walking, and in-home visits. I also offer overnight stays in your home! We can definitely always work something out! At my home your pets will be allowed on the couch, bed, chair, pretty much whenever 😅 (if that’s okay with you!) Unfortunately I do not have a fenced yard. However, where I live I’m far from the main road and surrounded by orchards, and my yard is really big and open. I will always be outside with your pets to make sure they remain safe and bring them back inside when done! I can easily crate your pets if wanted/needed. If we are just doing walks or in-home visits, I will follow your instructions on what to do with your fur baby!

About: Hello! My name is ash, I grew up in a loving animal house! As my mom would say I am an animal loving person. I love all different sizes or shapes such as rodents, reptiles, dogs, cats and birds! I have been loving, caring and gentle with animals since I was a little girl. My first ever pet was a puppy, we rescued him from an animal shelter. I have trained, fed and walked him. All of the pets that I have had were guinea pigs, hamsters, hermit crabs, lizards, horses, dogs and cats. So you can say I am an animal lover to the bone. I also have house sit, dog walking and trained a variety of animals for my neighborhood, family members and friend. I currently have a pit/lab mix. I am grateful to be able to give the love and care needed to your fur babies! I am currently a new business owner! So I do still have days off during the week and weekends. Typically I work in the mornings to late lunch. If have questions or anything, just ask away! I will care for your pets at your home. I can also do dog walks and do check ups! I will be communicating to the owners about everything the pet and I have done. From the time I get there and leave.
“I could tell my dog was very happy and I could feel Paloma was in great hands with April right from the start. I’ll definitely be reaching out to her for my future puppy care needs. Thank you!”

About: I've taken care of the family dogs for as long as I've been conscious enough to and have further sat for family friends and other relatives. I have trained my own puppy (he's almost 3 now), have some experience with administering medication (oral and topical), and have looked after senior dogs in various stages of their old age. I have owned and cared for dogs of various sizes from tiny chihuahuas to larger than average rottweiler mixes and handled many different temperaments. I currently do not have a job, so I am able to spend as long as necessary with your pet. I am free all day on most weekends for things like check ins or walks, but on weekdays I can only do boarding or daycare (as I also lack a car). I have a fully fenced in yard and two friendly (medium to large) dogs to play with (my poodle and my father's Rottweiler). I also have access to a kennel/crate if needed, but my sister's dog broke it, so it's more for dogs that are already crate trained and won't avidly try to get out or dogs that don't need fully kenneled and just need their own space.
The median cost per day for doggy day care in Tieton is $35
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Tieton
We were traveling from Olympia and needed doggie daycare. Janet took wonderful care of our two small dogs. They had their own bedroom where they could jump on a chair and then onto a full/queen size bed (just like at home 😀). She took them out to play in a lovely fenced grassy area. Not sure I can even list all the steps she took to make sure they were comfortable and safe. We couldn’t ask for more.

Janet clearly cares about the dogs she cares for. She works hard to learn everything she can to improve the lives of the dogs she cares for. Archie exhausted Janet on his first day with her but she was a trooper and worked above and beyond what anyone would expect to make his day enjoyable. Archie was recently attacked (two different situations) which has left my normally happy and socialized dog reactive towards other dogs. Janet worked with both Archie and me to understand how to work with him. We will return when she has the time to train him. Janet shared tips on all sorts of things. I have already purchased a different harness per her advice.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
