“Kristina & her family are an amazing daycare home for Fizz! It’s obvious how much he loves them, and is happy & tired when I pick him up. And having a consistent schedule that works for both of us is greatly appreciated. Finding a 2nd home that so obviously cares for him is such a blessing for this soft tempered boy of ours!!”
“I am So appreciative of her kind and flexible nature. Just the cozy home setting I wanted for Lita to be comfortable! Lita was happy as could be. I got a couple pictures of her running... as she isn’t still long Will be rebooking as long as Lita minds her manners ! Lol.”

“Ericka was great with Pano. She was able to watch him late due to my work schedule. She provided an update on how he was doing during the visit. He seemed happy after I picked him up. I would use her again in the future and recommend her to others. :)”

“Sydney had the BEST time with Katie & friends. She came home, ate & went right to sleep. Katie was great with her & understood the temperament of the breed. She sent a video of my dog & hers playing. I highly recommend her & trust her completely with Syd. In fact Sydney will be staying with Katie for 3 days next month. Katie’s great with dogs!!! ❤️❤️”

“Alexis was able to get us in at the last minute. She was polite and friendly. Her house was in a quiet neighborhood with nice fenced yard. She took great care of our dogs and we were very happy. Highly recommended if you need dog care in Yakima.”

“I was nervous leaving Kevin with someone else for the first time. Enrique made me feel comfortable and was good with Kevin. He sent me pictures and updates throughout the day, which eased my worry. I would definitely use his service again.”

“Angela & Ashlyn were great with my Pano. They were able to take him even tho I gave them a very short notice. They were kind and gentle with my older dog. They sent me pictures and videos throughout the stay. They walked him out after the visit to my car. I would work with them again and recommend them to anyone. :)”

“Huey felt right at home with Brittni and her family of dogs and house cats. Drop off was easy and organized for first time meeting. He was smiling all the way home, and been napping since. He had a great workout and a lot of fun. He still may get to have a cat as a friend someday!”

About: I've taken care of the family dogs for as long as I've been conscious enough to and have further sat for family friends and other relatives. I have trained my own puppy (he's almost 3 now), have some experience with administering medication (oral and topical), and have looked after senior dogs in various stages of their old age. I have owned and cared for dogs of various sizes from tiny chihuahuas to larger than average rottweiler mixes and handled many different temperaments. I currently do not have a job, so I am able to spend as long as necessary with your pet. I am free all day on weekends for things like check ins or walks, but on most weekdays I can only do boarding. I have a fully fenced in yard and two friendly (medium to large) dogs to play with. I also have a large crate available if it is ever needed.
“So flexible and reliable with schedule! Maria provides the best care and makes your puppy part of the family. She also takes the BEST photos of your puppy! Highly recommend if you want your puppy given love and time to play around!”

About: Hey there! I’m Becca, I’ve been living and working in Yakima for 7 years now and I’m excited to help take care of your critters! HouseSitting I’ve catered my pricing towards multipet homes, since from experience I know how expensive it can get if you have multiple animals, especially more than 3. I price all animals the same regardless of breed. I offer a max rate of $150/night for cases where you have a multitude of critters. In Home Boarding/day care I offer boarding/day care for one household at a time, and can accommodate up to three animals from that household. Your pet(s) will have a private room to themselves . They will only be crated as needed to prevent accidents or damage to property in the event we aren’t potty trained or have problem chewing habits. Otherwise they’ll be free to be at home in a quiet cozy spare bedroom set up for this purpose. Please be aware they will not be under constant supervision, however they will be checked on and cared for frequently. Walking Walks are pretty self explanatory however I am not equipped to handle extremely problematic walkers. For all services, in cases where your dog has separation anxiety, there will be an extra charge, decided on a case by case basis, depending on severity and necessary precautions. I’m self employed and mostly work from home! I have an extremely flexible work schedule and will always be able to schedule around your pets needs! I’m able to stay nearly 24/7 while you’re away (minus possible errands, 2 hr max/day) for an additional fee. I will always treat your pets as my own, with the love and respect they deserve, and will accommodate whatever needs they may have as individuals. I have experience with giving medications as necessary and am happy to do so if needed.

As of August 2026, there are 43 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Toppenish. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Toppenish commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 43 sitters in Toppenish, 96% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
