Katharine was extremely easy to work with! She assisted in fulfilling a last minute request, and got along great with my dog! She was able to get my pup to take a walk and eat her food, which are often difficult tasks due to my dogs anxiety. Would 100% recommend Katharine to others!!

Jayden did an excellent job helping care for Maisy while we were away! She was reliable, walked her a good distance each time, and communicated very well. When we came back from a long trip, Maisy was in good spirits and it was clear she was well cared for. Thank you Jayden! We will definitely reach out again when the need arises.

About: My name is Kylie and I’ve always had such a strong passion for animals. I’m currently in school to be a licensed veterinary technician. While I pursue this, I also work full time in an animal emergency clinic. I have had 2+ years of animal emergency experience, including large dogs and cats, and even reptiles like snakes! I am comfortable pilling animals and have direct access to emergency care 24/7 in case your fur babies need it❤️. I currently own 2 cats of my own and a ball python. I’ve owned large dogs my whole life including a Cane Corso & Giant Schnauzer! I currently work full time in the animal emergency clinic. My schedule is Tuesday 11a-11p - Friday 7a-7p - Saturday 1p-1a and I do pick up shifts here and there. With this being said, I can come by before and/or after my shifts. I am currently not accepting boarding as my current living situation is not feasible for more animals than I currently own. I can care for pets in your home!

About: Ever since I was a child, I’ve always had a pet in my life. Over the years, I’ve cared for countless animals through dog and cat sitting, and I’ve always felt a natural connection with them. One of the experiences I’m most proud of is helping reunite three lost dogs with their families. Animals have always been a part of who I am, and caring for them has never felt like a job—it has always felt like a calling. Starting September 4, I’ll have a flexible schedule and will be available for dog walking, drop-in visits, and dog or cat sitting throughout the day. This isn’t just a side hustle for me—it’s something I’m genuinely passionate about. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve had pets since I was a child, cared for many dogs and cats over the years, and have even helped reunite three lost dogs with their families. I truly enjoy earning an animal’s trust and giving pet owners peace of mind, knowing their furry family members are in loving, dependable hands. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your pets like they’re my own, I’d love the opportunity to help! One of the biggest benefits I offer is caring for your pets in the comfort of their own home. Staying in their familiar environment helps reduce stress, keeps their daily routine consistent, and allows them to feel safe and secure while you’re away. Whether it’s dog walking, drop-in visits, or overnight care, I’ll make sure your pets receive plenty of love, attention, playtime, and personalized care—just as if you were home. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your furry family members are happy, comfortable, and cared for in the place they know best.

About: I’ve had my own animals, both cats and dogs (mainly cats) since I was 6 years old. I’ve had to administer insulin before to my diabetic cat that has since passed. My experience with dogs are mainly of the bigger size (I had a pitbull/boxer mix and a pure bred chow chow). I’m currently working as a Direct Support Professional overnights 9pm-9am Thursday through Saturday (technically Sunday 9am). So I’m pretty open for picking up last minute gigs if needed. I would love to have a break down of your pets day to day. Typically when they are most ready to play or eat. When potty breaks need to be done around.

About: Our home and land is doggy paradise! We have time, space, plus two friendly pups of our own that'll make your dog's stay great. We’ve been caring for pups for years, we’ll make sure your friend is cared for and comfortable. Our property really feels like a doggy summer camp. We have acres and acres of land that we mosey around most of the day between naps on the porch and mealtimes. Your dog will never be left at home alone, as both of us are able to build our schedules around our animal care. Our dogs are super friendly and easy going with all kinds of dogs. They’ve lived with all sorts of breeds, sizes, and ages over the course of their young lives. They’ll be your buddy's best friend, or give him/her space if that's what they like. We can play, walk, hike, tinker around the property, or just kick back and relax so that your best friend can have a home away from home while you're at peace of mind. We are dog people! Thanks for considering We’ve got all the time in the world for your pet! Our schedules allow us to be there full time for your furry friend, and give them whatever care they need. We have a crew of regulars who rotate throughout the week, and all get along beautifully. We never take two new dogs at once, so we can be sure everyone is friendly and can fit in with our furry family. With us, your pet can get any quirky needs met. Whether it’s walks and hikes, or snuggles on the couch, we’ve got it taken care of. So that pick ups and drop offs are smooth, efficient and pleasant, we bring our dogs inside just prior to transitions. With that said, timing and punctuality are important to us that everyone has a great time, all of the time. Our schedules are generally wide open and one of us is always home, so we’d prefer you’d be hours late where we know as soon as you do, versus 15-20 minutes behind schedule without our awareness. This keeps our anticipation & transition windows short so everyone can have as much freedom as our space allows. Our phones are always on and active, so we’re never difficult to reach. Thanks for considering!

About: I don’t have specific set of skills other than the fact that I am a dog mom. My dogs are my world and my main priority. I have a lot of love to give and I think animals deserve it the most. I will make myself available to be with your pet as much as needed and wanted by the client. My pets are my world and are considered each day when it comes to giving them the best life possible. I’m 44 years old with an older son who is 28. So for people my age who normally have small children I have my 2 dogs and my 2 cats. They are my children My animals are always considered in any and all plans that I may have. They are my top priority and your animal would be no different. I am a nurturer by nature. When I was in need of dog sitter Rover provided me with someone who took care of and loved my dogs just as much as I did. It motivated me to want to be that person for other people. I will love and spoil your animal as if they were my own. Allowing you to leave them knowing they are being well taken care of. I have a fully fenced in yard and I would make any special arrangements as far as feeding, crating etc that would be needed for your animal.

About: I've been an animal lover for as long as I can remember, and gained a lot of experience caring for my own family pets, then started pet sitting and working with horses as a teenager. After spending most of young adult life working with horses, I went back to college to get a degree that would allow me to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I worked in companion animal (dogs and cats) practice for a number of years before taking a "real" job that allowed me more time for my own pets. I've found I love my new job and schedule, but miss having as much animal interaction. I'd be delighted to provide care for your dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs (and other pocket pets) as well as horses and other large animals.

About: My name is Alexis craig, I am a 23 year old college student. I’ve had experience working with dogs for over 4 1/2 years now. I started out volunteering in the shelters , & got to work with many service dogs while being in the military. I have experience with many different breeds and sizes. I’ve learned how to deal with dogs with anxiety, aggression, and being timid. I believe dogs truly are mans best friend which is why I want to protect and love them the same way they do us. I am currently in school studying animal behavior, I find the animal mind in general fascinating. My goal is to one day open a no kill shelter where dogs have no time limit on how long they can stay and never have the fear of being neglected. While your pooch is with me they will have fun, learn new tricks , engage in activities that stimulate there mind and feel at ease in the comfort of my home or there own. I have a high energetic puppy who loves to play all day so high energetic puppies, and adult dogs are super welcomed. I currently work 3 days out of the week Sunday-Tuesday. That gives me plenty of time with your pup during the rest of the week and makes my availability very flexible Although I do not have a fenced backyard we have a gate we put up in the back when the dogs are outback to ensure there safety as well as the other dogs around the neighborhood

Lianna was wonderful! I knew my fur baby was being well taken care of. She knew I was anxious leaving my baby so she sent me multiple pictures of every outing so I could see how Tessie was? She was prompt, fed Tessie and made sure she took her medicine everyday for her chronic condition. I highly recommend Lianna if you are in need of pet sitter/walker. I have already booked her again for my next out of town trip when I cannot take my baby.

About: We have had dogs in the house since I was three years old and we were all responsible for caring for them. I’ve seen dogs through the puppy and training stage to the old age medication and care stage. My dogs were big Labradors, and I dog sat for many people with medium and small dogs at all stages of their lives. There’s not much your dog could throw at me that I wouldn’t handle with confidence and experience! I am currently attending an acting conservatory, the only days that that takes up my whole day are Thursdays and Friday's. Mondays and Tuesdays I’m free after 2, and Wednesdays I am free until 1! Weekends my schedule is wide open and I can work any time, and I am available every night of the week for overnights! With all the animals that have gone through my home growing up I know every pet is different. I follow the owners lead when it comes to how to care for them and never try to push my personal pet care habits on anyone. Everyone has a different relationship with their pet and I am here to respect and emulate that as best I can when you have to be away from your best friend! You and your pet are the boss!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Thompsons Lake. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Thompsons Lake.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Thompsons Lake. On Rover:

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
