I work part time but my schedule is very flexible with an enough time in advance. I am free pretty much all day on weekends and most consistently after 3 on weekdays. About: Hello there! I’m offering dog walking and drop ins for dogs and cats alike. I grew up caring for cats, dogs, fish, and rodents (the typical pets) and worked taking care of some more exotic animals at one of VA’s national parks (mostly various birds and turtles). I also raised a chicken from an egg once upon a time and have general farm experience (chicken, sheep, and goats) from growing up going to school on a farm. Suffice to say I love animals, have experience caring for them, and promise to treat your furry (or maybe not furry) family member like one of my own! I regularly work under a summer sport season contract and so I, unfortunately, travel a lot from May through September. But my schedule opens up again in the fall! I grew up caring for the family cat, dog sitting for friends and family, and working for the Prospect Park Zoo in NYC. As an adult I've volunteered for multiple animal shelters, and now care for my own baby Tortoise. As someone with a pet myself, I know how important it is that your sitter adores and respects your animals' needs. I prioritize your animal's health, safety, and happiness! I am a graduate student, giving me a pretty flexible schedule! I am typically completely free Thursday through Sunday. Drop off visits are possible Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, especially in the mornings or later at night. Making sure pets get the attention they need is a top priority for me. Being a student, writer, and researcher, I work mostly at home. This allows me to spend additional time hanging out with those pets that enjoy some human company. I also love hiking, walking, and spending time outdoors. So if your pup needs to get some energy out in the woods, I'll be more than happy to be their guide! I can house small pets for a night or two - I live in a ~700 square foot apartment with a balcony and ample access to the outdoors. But someone cannot always be home, so cats and independent small dogs are preferred.
