“Anthony was great with our dog Nelli! He was a great communicator. He gave Nelli lots of snuggles and great care. I will ask him to come again, we were very happy and grateful for his services!”

“Heather was so wonderful with our dogs! She even came over for a meet and greet a few days before to make sure she knew the ins and outs of their care! My dogs are high energy and she wasn’t phased at all, handled them so well with so much care!”
About: Patient and willing to take the time to learn every quirk. Comfortable with high energy, large or small animals. Fostered multiple cats to successful adoption. My schedule is flexible as I am a design engineer who currently works freelance. Able and willing to check multiple times a day or longer sessions. At home I have multiple playtime sessions throughout the day. This includes string toys and playing fetch. When checking on animals I follow my personal routine: 1. Check wellbeing (health, water, food, litter) 2. Playtime/walks 3. Wind down session
“Amie is the best! Perfect communication, responsive, always sends photos and is on schedule. Sometimes I wonder of my cats like her more than me!!! Amie is reliable and an overall kind and loving person and I’m grateful to have her to rely on.”

“Our young cat was well cared for by Casey! He had a designated safe space he could use at her house when needed, though he wasn’t shy and made himself right at home. She was very attentive to any needs he had and made sure to send pictures, which our family loved seeing. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Casey again!”

About: I’m a caring and dependable pet owner with hands-on experience caring for both cats and dogs. I understand how important it is to have someone you trust looking after your pet while you’re away. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, litter box care, maintaining routines, and giving pets plenty of attention and affection. I’m also attentive to changes in behavior and always prioritize keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy. I currently work 8-5pm M-F at y full time job, but I am available before and after those times as well as on the weekends. I always follow each pet’s normal routine and their owner’s instructions closely. I make sure pets have fresh food and water, a clean and safe environment, plenty of attention, and regular walks or playtime. I’m also respectful of clients’ homes and will provide updates so you know your pet is safe and happy.
About: I have taken care of pets my whole life and have house sat for pets of all types in my neighborhood, I love taking pets on walks and visiting dog parks. I am currently a college student that is free during the summer besides having online classes. I go to the gym in the morning but otherwise am quite free, just tending to my apartment. I have had multiple cats and dogs in the past and have volunteered at animal shelters so have a ton of knowledge on proper care for animals. I am also great at following instructions.

I'll do everything in my power to ensure the safety and happiness of your beloved family member. I can handle big pets and small pets. Aggressive, anxious, timid, reactive, and generally difficult pets are my specialty. I can keep up with high energy/athletic pets, and care for disabled pets. I can pass meds, teach a few commands, and give you updates on how your pets are doing. Animals tend to love me as much as I love them, thank you for trusting me with you family. I'm available pretty much every day and during select holidays. I have a very flexible schedule due to the nature of my work at this time. I do drop ins, house sitting, and walks. About: Hi, I’m Katie! 🐾 I’m a lifelong animal lover, mom of four, and experienced pet caregiver who genuinely believes our pets are part of the family. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and personalities, and I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pets. I’m attentive to routines, feeding instructions, medications, exercise needs, and all those little quirks that make your pet unique. I have experience with dogs, cats, puppies, and a variety of animals through our own busy little homestead. Whether your pup needs a good walk, some playtime, companionship while you’re away, or simply lots of love and attention, I’m happy to help! My goal is for you to feel completely comfortable knowing your pets are safe, cared for, and getting plenty of affection while you’re away. I’ll treat them like they’re my own—and I’m always happy to send updates and photos so you don’t miss them too much! ❤️ I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets! Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine! I care for my own dogs, cats, ducks, and chickens every day, so I’m very comfortable with the responsibility and consistency that comes with caring for animals. I’m home full-time for most of the day, with only school drop-offs/pick-ups and occasional errands taking me away. Because of that, I have a very flexible schedule and can provide frequent potty breaks, typically every 1–2 hours, as well as regular check-ins, walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. I love being home and having animals around, so pet care fits naturally into my lifestyle rather than feeling like just another job. 🐾 I tailor care to each pet’s individual needs, personality, routine, and comfort level. For boarding and doggy daycare in my home, pets become part of our household routine with plenty of attention, supervised play, potty breaks, and downtime. I have a large home and a country setting, so there’s room for pets to be comfortable and enjoy their time here. For dog sitting and walks, I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible—including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, potty breaks, and any special instructions. I’m home full-time for the most part, so I’m able to provide frequent care and attention rather than leaving pets alone for long stretches. Most importantly, I want your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’ll communicate with you throughout their stay or visit and am happy to send photos and updates so you know how they’re doing. 🐾

About: Having a few furry friends of my own (two cats and a corgi), I am always looking to make new furry friends and feel more than capable of providing quality care for your pets. I work an 8-5 job Monday through Friday, but can do after 5:00 drop-ins (potentially mid day drop ins when schedule allows) weekends are much more flexible and can be worked around. At my home, our corgi is crate trained and loves to play (lots of energy!). My cats could not be more opposite of each other — one of them is lovey and greets you at the door, while the other is shy and likes to hide. Either works for me!

Whether your pup loves walks, cuddles, or just hanging out, I’m happy to match their routine and keep them comfortable and happy. Whether you need early morning visits, midday check-ins, or evening care, I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine to make sure they get the attention and care they need! I primarily care for pets in my client’s home so they can stay comfortable in their own space and stick to their normal routine. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while keeping their environment clean and stress-free. I also respect your home and keep everything just as you left it. “Yanya was great to work with as we needed dog care for our Goldendoodle at our campsite while we enjoyed a 10-hour train ride into ONT. Yanya was responsive, on-time, spent the entire hour with the dog walking and playing with her, and sent some great pictures/videos. I would definitely use her again if needed while in the area!”

“Michelle provided updates and services as requested. Came home to a non-distressed cat which is all I can hope for with my shy guy. Would book her again.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Texas Charter Township
Hannah played a significant role in my vacation plans by filling a time period (on short notice) to feed my two barn cats that l could not otherwise fill. She worked with me on the visit time and coordinated her other commitment for that week. For that reason l was able to have a good trip without any worry. Kelly and Tedd are grateful as well. I plan on requesting Hannah again for a future a future trip. I highly recommend Hannah and I'm positive that you will like her. David Bishop

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
