About: I have been with Rover for about three years now. I have a dog of my own, and when facing a situation where I needed care for her, it nearly broke my heart to stick her in a kennel. And honestly, it almost broke the bank! I find that this service I am offering helps you go on vacation without needing to stress and worry about your pets being in a cage 23 hours a day with minimal interaction and being stressed out by other stressed out barking dogs. I can guarantee you will enjoy your time away knowing that your pet is in a familiar and safe environment with a person who is trustworthy and willing keep your pet company at your own home. I mainly do this on the side, I have a full-time job and a family. I work from home, and have the capability of working from your home if you can offer high-speed Internet. My children are 13 and 9 and occasionally like to help, however, I know that is not ideal for every House Sitting situation. These are all topics we can talk about in our first meet and greet at your house. Please feel free to send me a message with any questions you might have. Due to today’s world and the nature of the situation, a meet and greet prior to the dates needed is 100% required for me. I would prefer an environment where I feel safe and comfortable in your home.. I’m a very open and easy going person and I know how difficult it can be to find proper pet care when we need it the most!
“Camryn responded immediately and came out to meet my doggies beforehand. The dogs like her! She came out with her little one, but the dogs weren't quite sure about the baby carrier with the fan on it :). They were really curious though. Camryn took good care of my fur-babies, fed them and made sure they went potty before she left. I will contact her again.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for 5 families in my neighborhood as well as walked them for 3 of the families. I love getting to know them and care for them. I am currently working part time at Monelli’s as a hostess, as well as preparing to be a full time student at Western Michigan University in the fall. Pet care will be a side hustle to fit in where I can so I have something fun to do between classes. As I settle into routine, I may be open to house sitting on the weekends. I have many pet sitting experiences and I am quick an active person, so I love to go on walks with the fur babies. Currently, pet sitting would be at a client’s house because I live with my parents and will be moving into a dorm in the fall.

“Anthony was great with our dog Nelli! He was a great communicator. He gave Nelli lots of snuggles and great care. I will ask him to come again, we were very happy and grateful for his services!”

About: Currently I have a cat, a yorkie poo, two pit bulls and a new puppy that is a Cane Corso! I have helped take care of them for over 10 years and they are all my best friends. I love all different kinds of animals so I volunteer at a pet refuge during the weekends and I want to be a Zoological veterinarian when I am older! Currently I only play volleyball during the week early in the morning so my days are usually always free. During the summer I am most available. I am not sure yet what my schedule will be during the school year but I will update that as soon as I know! In my home I believe that pets respond best when they are shown love and cared for nicely rather than yelling and hitting them like many others do. I want my animals to know that I am safe and that they can trust me.
About: I’m the type of girl who walks up to you and asks if I can pet your dog! They bring so much joy to my life❤️ When I lived with my parents, I had the opportunity to grow up with a Whippet for the past 6 years! She’s 11 years old now, and she is just the sweetest little girl ever. She’s also a speed demon and still can catch squirrels and/or bunnies making me a very avid potty watcher;) Since I’m still in school and working part-time, I know that being a dog sitter would be a wonderful addition to my life! I’m more than willing to spend time with your dog regardless of age, disability, emotional capacity, and bonding ability! With my schedule right now, I am very accommodating to you and your dog’s needs. Know that ensuring your dog to my care not only promises the love and care that your pet needs, but also ensures that love and care to me as well! That’s how much I love dogs. Looking forward to hearing from you and meeting your furry loved one(s)! As a part-time assistant coach and online grad student, I have a flexible schedule that lets me give your dog consistent attention, comfort, and care. Whatever you need, I can make it work with my schedule! Even though I don’t have dogs of my own at home right now, I’m able to create a peaceful, safe, and welcoming environment just for yours. My space stays clean, calm, and free of distractions, which helps pets settle in quickly and feel secure. I follow your routines closely—from feeding and walks to comfort items and cues—so your pet feels consistency and familiarity even in a new place. I’m big on safety and trust: clear communication, careful supervision, and a home set up with your pet’s well-being in mind. Because I don’t have other animals here, your pet gets my full, focused attention and lots of one-on-one care. My goal is always to make your pet feel understood, safe, and genuinely loved while you’re away.
“I used Rod again for my pugs! They LOVE him. I scheduled him last minute and he immediately responded and made me feel good — once again—to leave my babies with him. He stayed longer than he needed to and i felt so comfortable being away.”

About: Since I was young, I have been a passionate animal lover. Your pets deserve the best and you shouldn't have to settle for anything less. I have taken care of cats and dogs of all sorts, whether they be energetic, laid back, nervous and shy, or total goofballs. When my friends and family go out of town, I'm the person they call to watch their fur babies. I am reliable, loving, patient, thorough, and considerate of your home, expectations, and needs. I am currently working a part-time job that is 3 days a week, so I am looking to fill my time with walks, fetch, and cuddles! I am happy to comply with however you typically do things with your pets. I am experienced with dog training commands, crate training, and dog body language.
About: I have experience in working in a vet clinic and on a local farm of large animals. I have been trained to minister care for all cats/dogs of all breeds/sizes. If your pet has any health issues such as diabetes or has hit senior years, no worries! New puppy paws running around? Glad to be of assistance to help them learn better manners and play til the nap! I am a full time Veterinary Nursing clinical student at Michigan State University! My schedule is a typical “8-5” job internship and have an 1 hr break during that time. I am very flexible and can provide care for your pets around my schedule. I’m free on the weekends as well. Since I am not able to keep your pets in my home due to space, I will treat your home with all respect. If you have places and boundaries that are set, they will be followed accordingly. If your pet or myself makes a mess, it will be cleaned up immediately! I have a pet cleaner machine and products to get pet stains out in a jiffy!
“Christina was awesome with the pets and with our house. We were able to enjoy our trip with peace of mind and zero worries by having her taking care of everything. It was great to receive photos that she sent from every visit, we could see our pets every day! Strongly recommend!!!”

“Farrell came and helped take Jaxon out and care for him while I was away and she did a fantastic job! Great at communicating, sharing photos and updates. 100% would book her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I used to assist my mom in breeding and have been pet sitting for family and friends for many years. I currently have a bulldog of my own and a leopard gecko. I work full time but I have my own dog so I can easily make sure our furry friends are well taken care of and looked after when your away! A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Schoolcraft. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
