About: I have volunteered at an animal rescue sanctuary for 10+ years. As a caretaker my duties at the sanctuary require demanding physical labor, housekeeping, and responsibilities of supervision over animals and other volunteers. We had over 100+ different types of animals and always have been around dogs and cats! They are my joy! I work 2 full time jobs but I have mornings, evenings and weekends open! I am looking for something that will fit into that kind of schedule. I have no animals at home. It is safe and a very clean environment. About: As a military spouse I have helped care for our dogs and many of our neighbors dogs as well. From large to small, I love dogs of all kinds. I enjoy walking and playing with dogs, and our own dog loves the company of other dogs. I am a mom and am in nursing school, but pet care is the highlight of my day. My schedule is open during weekends during the school semester, and outside of that I'm fulltime at home. I have a fenced in yard and a dog and cat friendly home. I also have children at home, but they are 10 and up. I prefer dogs crated at night, but during the day they are allowed to roam inside or out in the fenced backyard and will be well taken care of with lots of friendly petting in my home.
About: I’ve been around animals my whole life! I’ve done everything from fostering to raising litters of puppies and kittens. I’m an active person so there is no shortage of playtime. I have a spare bedroom in my house with a large mattress for pets to rest on. There is space for a crate if needed. My backyard is very spacious. My area is fairly quiet as I live outside the city. We had to find a sitter for 2 days (and a little last minute) but fortunately Samantha was happy to take on our diabetic dog, Abby. We were so thankful to be able to find a sitter who is also adept at medication administration. Samantha is so good with animals! She was very careful to introduce our little dog to her own fur babies to eliminate any stress. It was nice to receive the many photo updates that Samantha sent during the day. When we picked her up, Abby looked and acted very happy, calm and content. We were able to relax and have a wonderful time with our relatives knowing Abby was in such wonderful hands. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
