“Cristi was absolutely wonderful! She sent pictures and my pups were very well taken care of. It was such a relief knowing that there was someone giving them love and attention while we were away for the weekend. We will absolutely be using her services again in the future! Thank you so much Cristi! Wally and Donut had the best time!”

“Will be using Dana again. Our 4 year old German Shepherd had a blast there with Dana’s family and other dogs. She responds quickly to messages and sends plenty of pictures. Would recommend to anyone.”

“Elizabeth did a wonderful job taking care of Sofie. She even got Sofie to go on a walk, which she usually will do only with me! Elizabeth sent frequent photos as this was Sofie's first time staying with her and her boys. The whole family was very loving and caring towards Sofie.”

“Karen was wonderful! She had my dog for 11 days and kept me updated so well. I would highly recommend Karen to anyone and will definitely be taking my dog to her again!”

“Have booked with Tamisha several times and will continue to do so! She has taken great care of my very high energy puppy. She responds quickly and has been flexible with my changes in schedule.”

About: My property has 1-acre of fenced space where your pup can run around until their heart’s content. If you have a senior pup, a young puppy, or a dog with complex medical needs, you have found the right home. Having loved and cared for my own Akitas through major health challenges—including blindness—I am completely comfortable managing complex medication schedules, topical treatments, oral meds, and injections. As an experienced dog and puppy foster (who even once fostered a litter of nine puppies!), I understand canine body language and know how to support anxious or transitioning pets. Rest assured, your pup will be cared for and welcomed with open arms no matter their situation. Pet care is my full-time job right now. I am generally away from the home for no more than a couple of hours, and if I do need to be away for longer, I will ensure you are aware in advance. I have a fenced backyard and three dogs of my own who will keep your pup company. My own dogs are a senior male, fully blind American Akita, an adult female pug mix, and a male puppy pug mix (the adult female’s puppy). I ensure all dogs are kept separate during mealtime and, as needed, during playtime where dog toys may be involved. I have crates and playpens, extra dog dishes, and plenty of indoor and outdoor toys for your pup to use as much or as little as they want. My own dogs love to cuddle and sleep on the couch and bed, and your pup is welcome to as well, as long as it’s okay with you. I’m happy to provide updates throughout your pup’s stay based on a frequency you’d prefer to ensure you feel comfortable with their time in my care.
“Justen was AWESOME!!!! He took very good care of our dogs and gave them all the attention they needed. Kept us updated and sent videos. Don’t hesitate! Exactly what we were looking for.”
“She was easy to communicate with and always quick to respond. When we arrived, she met us outside with both of our dogs, one of whom has anxiety, which helped make the transition smoother. She introduced them to her own friendly dogs right away, which helped them settle in. Throughout their stay, she kept us updated with multiple photos, which we really appreciated.”

“Cody went above and beyond while watching my fur baby! She was able to sit for me while I went on a work trip. She followed all my care instructions and sent pictures daily. He was sad to leave his new friend after an amazing stay with her.”

“It's really difficult to trust your baby with someone. But I could tell that Emily really loves dogs and I knew my boy would have a good weekend. I barely checked in because I could tell he was safe and happy when I left him with her. Will definitely be rebooking in the future! Thank you again!”

“Emily was amazing with our Goose! Not only was she able to take him on such a short notice, she was excited about having him stay with her. She sent me daily pictures and updates of Goose playing with her pups and having a fantastic time. Emily’s communication was fantastic and helped ease any anxiety I had about not being able to bring Goose with us on a road trip. I cannot say how thankful I am that Emily was able to watch and care for our dog on such a short notice and during the Thanksgiving week. We definitely will be recommending Emily and booking with her for any future needs. Absolutely amazing, I cannot say it enough.”

“This being my very first time using Rover. Nate & Aylissia were amazing caring for our sweet girl Gia. They communicate in a timely manner. Appreciate them doing a video meet and an in-person meet & greet. Also appreciated the pics/videos they shared of Gia. Seems she became best buds with their dog Jasper. Our fur babies are just like our children. Thank You to you both for opening up your home and giving Gia the same love and care as she receives at home. Look forward to using you all again in the future. Blessings!!”

“Victoria was awesome! Super professional upon meeting and was absolutely in love with our Dino. She sent lots of pics, gave our guy frequent walks and was extremely easy to communicate and work with. Bottom line, I'd recommend her to anyone!”

“We left our puppy with Angela while we took a trip & despite being a little worried about leaving him at first, she definetly squashed those worries. We recieved daily photos, & when I did message, she responded quickly. Our pup always looked happy & healthy, as well as Angela giving him a bath for us so he was also very clean!”

“We had such a great experience with Yissette! She was very responsive, communicative, and kept us updated throughout Mochi’s stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. Mochi had such a fun time playing with her dog, Bella, and it was so nice seeing how happy and comfortable she was. We really appreciated the care and attention she gave Mochi and would definitely book with her again! 🐾💕”

“Jodi was very accommodating for a last minute booking! She sent photos and it looked like plenty on fun. She had us do a meet and greet and it was assuring knowing how they would be playing with one another!”

“My pups had a wonderful time with Sydney. She was very attentive to them and I received many pictures and lots of communication. She was wonderful, would highly recommend.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Tarlton home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Tarlton.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Tarlton sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
