“Could not have asked for a better experience for Cooper! Loved the photos and updates. I could tell he was happy and did not worry about him and really enjoyed my trip. She welcomed him as part of her family!”

“Stacey and her family’s home was a perfect stay for Moki Marie. She took walks and had lots of play time with the kids and snuggle time with the whole family. Plus, my feeding directions were followed which is important for Moki’s tummy. If you want your dog loved and cared for with extra attention, I highly recommend Stacey and Bruce and their family!!!! 🥰”

“Will be using Dana again. Our 4 year old German Shepherd had a blast there with Dana’s family and other dogs. She responds quickly to messages and sends plenty of pictures. Would recommend to anyone.”

“Karen was wonderful! She had my dog for 11 days and kept me updated so well. I would highly recommend Karen to anyone and will definitely be taking my dog to her again!”

“Justen was AWESOME!!!! He took very good care of our dogs and gave them all the attention they needed. Kept us updated and sent videos. Don’t hesitate! Exactly what we were looking for.”
About: My property has 1-acre of fenced space where your pup can run around until their heart’s content. If you have a senior pup, a young puppy, or a dog with complex medical needs, you have found the right home. Having loved and cared for my own Akitas through major health challenges—including blindness—I am completely comfortable managing complex medication schedules, topical treatments, oral meds, and injections. As an experienced dog and puppy foster (who even once fostered a litter of nine puppies!), I understand canine body language and know how to support anxious or transitioning pets. Rest assured, your pup will be cared for and welcomed with open arms no matter their situation. Pet care is my full-time job right now. I am generally away from the home for no more than a couple of hours, and if I do need to be away for longer, I will ensure you are aware in advance. I have a fenced backyard and three dogs of my own who will keep your pup company. My own dogs are a senior male, fully blind American Akita, an adult female pug mix, and a male puppy pug mix (the adult female’s puppy). I ensure all dogs are kept separate during mealtime and, as needed, during playtime where dog toys may be involved. I have crates and playpens, extra dog dishes, and plenty of indoor and outdoor toys for your pup to use as much or as little as they want. My own dogs love to cuddle and sleep on the couch and bed, and your pup is welcome to as well, as long as it’s okay with you. I’m happy to provide updates throughout your pup’s stay based on a frequency you’d prefer to ensure you feel comfortable with their time in my care.

About: I have hands-on experience raising and training puppies, including intelligent, high-energy breeds like German Shepherds and Australian Cattle Dogs. I’ve also cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities. I understand that every dog has unique needs, quirks, and routines. My approach focuses on patience, positive reinforcement, enrichment activities, and creating a comfortable, welcoming environment where dogs can feel safe, happy, and free to be themselves. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. I’m able to accommodate individual routines, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and enrichment activities. Since I’m home throughout the day, your pet won’t have to spend long stretches alone and can enjoy a comfortable, relaxed environment with plenty of love and attention. My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment where every dog feels right at home! I believe in allowing dogs to be themselves while respecting their individual personalities, boundaries, and routines. My home is shared with Harlow, my friendly and playful German Shepherd, who loves the company of other dogs that enjoy playing and respect personal space. I prioritize compatibility, thoughtful introductions, and supervised interactions to ensure everyone feels comfortable and secure. Whether your pet is staying in my home or I’m stopping by yours for a drop-in visit, I provide personalized care, enrichment activities, exercise, and plenty of affection. I carefully follow your instructions, respect your home, and provide photo updates so you can feel confident your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: Hi! I’m Anthony, and I’d love to welcome your dog into our home! 🐾 I have a friendly, high-energy dog of my own who absolutely loves playing and interacting with other dogs, so your pup can have a built-in playmate during their stay. Of course, I always take each dog’s personality and comfort level into consideration—some dogs want to play all day, while others prefer their own space and plenty of relaxing time. When your dog stays with me, I want them to feel like they’re on a little vacation of their own. They’ll get plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and time to relax in a comfortable home environment. I know leaving your dog with someone else can be stressful, so I’m big on communication. I’m happy to send regular photo and video updates so you can see how your pup is doing while you’re away. I’m especially excited to care for dogs who enjoy playing, being active, and having a canine companion around. Whether your dog wants to spend the day running around with my pup or curling up somewhere cozy, I’ll make sure they’re comfortable, safe, and well cared for. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your dog beforehand so we can make sure it’s a great fit! 🐶

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Kingston home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Kingston.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Kingston sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
