“Will was so great to our gal! He has a great property that is great for dogs who like to run around and kept us updated the whole time with pictures, what they did, and how our dog was doing. He was also very responsive and considerate of our dog’s needs. This was our first time using Rover and we were so impressed with how smooth the process was and how well they took care of our dog. Would highly highly recommend.”

“What a beautiful family! Jessica thank you for welcoming my girls into your home. You made an overnight stay stress-less! Thanks for all the pictures and updates! Take good care and we’ll see you again.”

You’ll receive real-time photo updates and detailed reports so you can trust your pup is happy, protected, and well cared for every single day.
“Jermaine was so accommodating for me as I book him for a last-minute work trip. Text me pictures and update as I was on my busy trip thinking of my baby girl. Definitely will utilize his services again.”

“Brigid took care of my senior girl, Chloe, for 4 nights. She was open to a last minute meet and greet. She accommodated Chloe’s senior needs, sent updates, and gave a nice verbal summary at how Chloe’s time went and included things she will miss about her. Chloe seemed content when I arrived, often going over to Brigid several times while we packed up all of her things into the car. Being a dog sitter myself, I found comfort in that, considering they were strangers just days before. I would recommend Brigid!”

“Sharon is an excellent communicator and very accommodating to my many changes (the weather wasn’t my friend). We had a great meet and greet. She sent sweet pics and took awesome care of my pup. Thank you!”

“This was our first time ever using Rover as we just acquired a rescue puppy. Jodi was the perfect match for our fur baby. She understood his need for walks and his “zoomies” (periods of over excitement). I could not have picked a better sitter. During our absence she sent us pictures and updates which made us feel near him. I cannot say enough great things but rest assured she will always be our go to person for Maverick.”

About: I grew up with a small dog and have been a pet sitter for friends and family for just under 5 years. My husband grew up with 4 French bulldogs, although we do not have any special skills to train dogs we enjoy spending time with them. Pet care fits into our schedules on most weekends and some holidays. Our jobs limit us from having our own pets so we enjoy watching others during our time off. I will often be pet sitting with my husband as we live together. We care for pets by doing what’s instructed of us from their owners to keep their routine as close as possible in our home as it would be at theirs.
About: As a mom and lifelong animal lover, I understand how important trust is when someone cares for your pet. I offer dependable, attentive care in a calm home setting. I’m patient, nurturing, and detail-oriented — making sure your dog feels loved, exercised, and safe at all times. My open schedule allows for consistent supervision and care. I’m flexible with my time and available most days and weekends which allows attentive care :) I care for pets in my home, offering a secure and relaxed setting while you’re away. They will be comfortable safe and always loved :)
About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats my entire life and have over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for pets. Growing up, my mom had five dogs—some of which had puppies—and I helped raise and care for them. I’ve also cared for cats in multi-pet households, including feeding, litter box maintenance, and creating calm, safe environments for shy or senior cats. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me for years to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets while they’re away. I now have a black Yorkie of my own, and I treat every animal I care for like part of the family—whether they bark or purr! I currently work part time- and have lots of free time! I will send out a daily schedule of what I’ll be doing with the pets! I will take your dog out on walks on our neighborhood trail outside! I also have a few ring cameras, and will send a lot of pictures/videos throughout the day.
About: I have taken care of cats and dogs of all ages growing up. I started solo caring for our pets 10 years ago. I have a special interest in animals, so this job is a 2 in one for me. My over night availability ranges from 10pm - 5am every day of the week depending on commuting distances. My Day time availability changes based on my full time job scheduling. I believe slip leads and or harnesses are essential for keeping your pet as safe as possible while handling. I have a good understanding of crate training.
About: I’ve been dog sitting, house sitting and dog walking for awhile up to weeks at a time. I enjoy being around all types of dogs small to big. I love getting all the puppy love!! I’m currently babysitting part-time but I can move my schedule around pretty easily and fast. I would like to pursue pet care part time as well! I have a fenced in backyard in a very quiet neighborhood. I have a dog myself. He is very lovable and doesn’t bother anyone. You tell me your feeding schedule and I will go along with it

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Tanyard
We can’t say enough good things about the care, attention, and FUN our doodle was treated to during his recent stay with William and Natalie! We appreciated William and Natalie’s sincere interest in our suggested best practices for Dewey’s care!! Daily photos found our boy liv’in his best life… leisurely sniff’in around during his walks, running like the wind fetching balls and…happily snuggled on the couch with paws flung over the legs of new best buds! Honestly, a pup’s stay at William and Natalie’s is like a visit to Disney for kids!

William was amazing. He updated me continuously as I drove across country, moving my family back home. It was clear Mitzi was in a safe, caring, and loving environment. Mitzi is an older dog, and needed multiple bio breaks throughout the day. In addition, she got very homesick, and William got her through all of it. I definitely recommend William for your dog sitting needs. Mitzi and I really appreciated his TLC approach and would request him again (if he’d take us!).

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
