“Being a previous dog walker myself, I truly understand the work it takes to care & love on others pets. Cori has taken care of our dog Mila mid day while we work, & also took care of our cats while we were out of town. She did a great job & communicated so well. New go to rover sitter!”

“Anna was great! She was extremely reliable, communicative and most of all, well liked by our pups. It is always a relief to find someone you can trust and feel confident to care for your pups when you are away. We would definitely use Anna for future needs we have! We highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve had numerous gigs babysitting neighbors pets over the years; from dogs and cats to turtles and fish. I love spending time with all animals and I’m always looking out for the happiness and safety of your animals no matter the size :) Currently I’m a student at The University of Akron which gives me spare time in between classes. I’m usually free during the week and have no problem taking a break in my day to go check on your pets! Growing up with several dogs over the years, I’m very familiar with showing affection and maintaining the needs of pets. We routinely walk our dogs twice a day and make sure to feed morning and night. I love spending time outside with my dogs and getting all their energy out before bedtime.
“Dee was very playful and attentive to all of our animals. She sent great updates and kept us in the loop while on vacation. If you ever need the right person, Dee is perfect!”

“So glad I came across Lindsay, I had to head out of town last minute and she came in clutch. We weren’t able to do a meet and greet beforehand but we were able to figure something out and everything turned out fine. Will definitely keep her mind for the future!”
“Matthew did a fantastic job doing daily drop in visits with our two cats while we were out of town for a week and a half. Will attempt to book him again when we go on any other extended trips.”

“Tara was great with my two kittens! She made sure that they were comfortable and loved while I was away. I have one who bolts for the outside and she was extra cautious to make sure there was no escapees!”

“Amber is an amazing sitter. She will drop in on my pets and give them food and cuddles as well as send me updates and pictures, my pets absolutely loved her!”

“Frank is very kind and my doggie Dutchess took right to him. I appreciate all the Love you gave my girl while I was gone and all the pics you supplied me. Would definitely have Frank watch my dog again 10/10”

“Rebekah did a great job for us while we were on vacation. She kept us informed with photos and comments. I feel that our kitty was in great hands and would highly recommend Rebekah to anyone needing a pet sitter!!”

“Keerie is the best cat sitter! She is great with detailed instructions and always sends detailed (and hilarious!) notes about my cats. Thank you, Keerie, for always being so caring of my senior girls!! ❤️”

About: I have always had pets of all kinds growing up along with much love for all wildlife. Currently I have 4 cats, 2 dogs, 3 fish and many snails, and a lot of plants! My dog growing up became diabetic (also blind) and I provided him supportive care for the remaining 5 years he had (including special meals and insulin shots)! I have rescued several cats and found loving homes after getting them medical care (I always keep in touch). One of my cats was a bottle baby after finding her on the side of the road at only 3 weeks old, she is now almost 2. I also provided supportive care for my two eldest cats (11years) after their major surgeries (perineal urethrostomy and gallbladder removal). I am also in the process of obtaining my wildlife rehabilitation permit for I always seem to be brought animals to care for and I would like to do more for them than just transporting to a rehabilitator! I have a lot of room at my house which includes the finished basement area with separate rooms, a mudroom, a large fenced in backyard, and kennels if needed. I'm willing to travel to you, or care for your animals here! All my animals are friendly (successfully introduced and integrated) but if yours needs some privacy I can absolutely provide it. I'm here to help, I hope it's clear how important your fur babies would be to me! I would love to make whatever it is you need happen. I am currently a stay at home mom with my own fur babies. My day starts at 6AM when I wake up to feed and walk the dogs and check to see if the cats need anything. I would be more than happy to care for your animal(s) here or get out of the house and care for them in their home! I have a large fenced in yard, a finished basement with separate rooms, a separate mudroom, and kennels if needed! My 4 cats and 2 dogs roam the house and would love to make new friends, but if your animals are shy, we have plenty of space to accommodate. All I ask is for a clear set of instructions if caring for your pet in your home and you can expect those instructions to be carried out with love and respect for your animal(s) and property. I am also insured for pet care/housesitting through PCI.
“I would 100% recommend Bri! Bri greatly understood my dog Rey's needs and showed warmth, patience, and knowledge about dog care. During the visit, Bri gave Rey her meds and ensured she was relaxed and comfortable. Bri took terrific care of Rey. I appreciated the thorough visit summary and pictures, too. I am so grateful Bri stopped by to dog-sit Rey. I plan to contact her again for future dog sittings.”

“Anna was great with my pup! She had never been cared for by anyone and was very afraid. Anna was very patient with her and made her feel comfortable. Would definitely book her again!!”

“Connie was great. She visited us before her drop-in to make sure it would go smoothly. She even went above and beyond and brought in some pretty big packages that were on the porch. We will definitely ask her to help out again.”

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
