“Are dogs are not bad dogs but there are 3 of them and they are all rescues and they have their own quirks. They love Lori and we cannot ask for anything more. She takes care of them and keeps us updated and they are happy when we get back. Lori is great!”

“Sarah was so detail oriented with our dogs and took plenty of time to understand their unique qualities and quirks so she could be best prepared for house/dog sitting. This was a longer time away (9 days). While we were gone, she did a great job providing peace of mind and the right amount of updates and videos of our babies. Sarah was able to manage a situation that came up with the house which occurred while we were away. We were reflecting on other dog sitters that we’ve used in the past and Sarah is far more dedicated and committed to the well being and care of our dogs than any other sitter we have had.”

“Tara did an excellent job housesitting and petsitting our German shorthair dog, Sage. She was very responsive and we loved the pictures and numerous updates throughout the day, it made us feel so at ease and assured that our dog was in good hands! We have already booked her for another date. Thank you, Tara!”

“Bryeanna provided excellent care for our 2 dogs in our home. She provided daily updates and was mindful of the extra attention our golden doodle needs as he can very quickly get into things! We will not hesitate to rebook with her in the future!”

“My dogs were well taken care of and my house looked the same as when i left. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! I will definitely reach out again to book Katelyn P!”
“Tabbi was great with my little Nahla! Everything was left just as it was when I left you could hardly tell she was there 😀 Will definitely book with her again.”

“Audrey was so great. Super punctual and we could just tell that our pup loved her right off the bat. She spent the day with our dog while we were out for an event and there were no issues at all. Would absolutely book with Audrey again.”

“It was such a relief to have Aidan caring for my dogs at my house while I was gone on my 8 day vacation. My pups are 14 and 11 years old and have special dietary and medical needs and he was able to keep them well fed, medicated and happy! This was the first time in their whole lives that I didn't have friends or family available to watch them, but I didn't have to worry as Aidan sent pictures and kept me up to date on how things were going. If I am in this situation again Aidan will be the first person I reach out to!”

“Frank was great, and took wonderful care of our dog Luke. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable dog sitter. We will be using Frank for all of our future sitting needs.”

“Teresa did an amazing watching our two doggies while we were on vacation. She throughly asked questions about the pups and our home prior to the trip. She was communicative during the stay and sent lots of pictures! Our trip ended early and she was flexible with our change of plans. We had no concerns about our dogs and our home while we were gone. We are so grateful!!!”

“The pets and house were well tended to. Our dog was really happy to see us and had the zoomies for about an hour. The cats are cats and didn't seem to care too much that we were home. We would love to have her watch our pets and house again in the future.”

About: My family has always had animals, and I've always loved taking care of them. Dogs, cats, birds, the whole nine yards. I've been around pure-breds, mutts, strays, elderly animals, young animals, a whole range, and I've always been very close with all of them. The most direct experience I've ever had was helping raise and train my mother's dog Ivan, a big American Bulldog with German Shepherd and Siberian Husky heritage, from near-birth to nine years old. Beyond that, I've helped care for my grandmother's many dogs, including Jasper, who is pictured in my profile picture. I'm currently on summer break between my Junior and Senior year of college, so I have plenty of time to care for animals at most points during the week. I generally like to keep Sundays and Mondays open, but I'm otherwise totally free to work. I'm a fairly relaxed pet owner myself, but I know when animals need to be taken seriously. As someone who helped raise a moderately antisocial 100 lbs. dog once, I know it's not all sunshine and rainbows. That being said, I'm more than loving and compassionate, and will do everything in my power to make sure your animals feel loved and cared for when I'm with them.
“Konnie was amazing as always! Our flight got cancelled and we had to extend an extra day and she made sure that our pets were the LAST thing we needed to worry about. I’m just sad she’s so popular because we are FINALLY able to start traveling again now that we’ve found her and she books up quick! Thank you Konnie!”

“Kambree was absolutely amazing with my dog! Updates every day, handled a complicated med schedule, took great care of my house while staying there, and was incredibly kind and flexible. Thank you so much!”

“Anna was terrific. She was contentious and asked all the right questions on our pre-call. I left knowing that the dogs were in good hands. I will definitely have Anna watch my two dogs again. I highly recommend Anna!”

“Dave provided exceptional care to our dog Fiona for a 4 night get away. We returned to a happy pup and an immaculate house. I am planning a next trip just to be able to see Dave again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Tallmadge
Tara was great with my cat, and followed all instructions. She was also kind enough to bring in packages and mail and water flowers while we were away. This was our first experience using Rover and our cat’s first experience with a non-family sitter. I was a little anxious about leaving my cat, but am happy to say everything went well and I would definitely use Tara again without hesitation!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Tallmadge walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Tallmadge maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tallmadge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
