“Jenna has been wonderful with our pups. She was very responsive from the start and came over for a meet and greet quickly. Django took to her right away, which says a lot. He can be a reactive pup, and Jenna was calm and not intimidated at all. She spends time visiting and makes sure they are comfortable. She is also patient with our other dog who tends to be nervous around new people. Her steady, confident approach really makes a difference. We feel comfortable knowing our dogs are in good hands and would absolutely recommend her.”

“Melanie is so wonderful! She graciously took a last minute booking and also was super easy going about my address mixup which I GREATLY appreciate her for. I would absolutely book with her again.”

“Samantha took incredible care of my dog, arriving on time, providing consistent updates and photos that gave me total peace of mind while I was away!! It was clear Griffen was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Samantha again.”

“Very comfortable with Linda and dropping in for my cats. Get updates and pictures along the way. I've rebooked with Linda many times now. Will continue to As long as she's available.”
“Net has been absolutely amazing with our dogs, especially helping us adjust to our new addition to the family. We have a 5-year-old Norwegian Elkhound and a ~5-month-old Norwegian Elkhound, and she has been wonderful with both of them. On the days she walks them, I come home from work to two dogs who are calm, happy, and clearly well cared for. From the very first meeting, they adored her and were immediately comfortable playing and spending time with her. I’m incredibly thankful to have found someone so reliable and kind who has taken the stress of midday walks off my plate. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.”

“Leah was a wonderful to have care for our cat while we were away. She is very friendly and communicative. And it was very clear from her updates that our cat really liked her too! Will definitely rebook with Leah in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of my neighbor’s dogs for many years. I make sure to walk them every day with a balanced meal. I will bathe your dog if requested or as needed. I’m a currently working full time from 8-4:30, so I’m available in the evenings and weekends. Despite this, I would be happy to care for your animals and find time to accommodate for you! I live in an apartment with my partner and our two cats so, I’ll only be able to provide services at the client’s house. I will take the dog on leash if there is no fence. I have worked in animal clinic in the kennel so I experience with crating dogs at night. I additionally love spending time with cats and will play with them. I like to meet cats where they are at and not push their boundaries.
“Jose did an amazing job with Marley! I was able to leave an entire week without having to worry once. Was always on time and walked my dog to the park every time. Marley loved Jose, so much so Marley was playing fetch with sticks which I’ve never seen him do! Jose also took amazing pictures at every check in”

“Kimberly is AMAZING! I can’t recommend her highly enough! I had to go out of town for a week, and she came by my house twice a day to take care of my kitties. She sent so many videos and pictures, it really made me feel at ease. I was nervous about the process, and I feel so lucky that I found her. She not only took care of my kitties in regards to feeding them and cleaning the litter box, she played with them and gave them attention and love. She also adjusted my thermostat for me and even swept up a mess my cats made when they decided to have a wild night alone. It is such a blessing and relief to have someone come into my home for a week while I was gone and know that everything in my home was safe and my two love bugs were completely cared for. I will definitely book her again, and can say that anyone would be lucky to have her take care of their furry family members. Kimberly, THANK YOU! You are a gem! You are so appreciated!”

“Alessia was wonderful with our shy kitty! Willow came out on the second visit and felt confident enough to come out each visit after! We are so happy that she was able to get love and cuddles while we were gone! Alessia was communicative and sent great pictures! Clearly an animal lover and cares about her clients! Will definitely be booking her services again!”

“Larissa was absolutely amazing with Finn, on late booking she was able to accommodate exactly what we needed on a holiday no less and sent amazing photos and video with Finn. Would definitely recommend her for your pet!!”
About: I grew up with 2 dogs, and currently have a cat! I have always lived with a pet and understand what an important part of our lives they are. Let’s discuss your pet’s needs so you can be more at ease while you are away. I look forward to meeting you! I work from home Tuesday/Thursdsy/Friday and in albany Monday/Wednesday 8-4pm. I am very flexible to work with you on a customized care plan for your fur babies. I do not watch animals in my own home, but I take extra precautions to leave your home just as I found it, and make sure your pet is secure when I arrive and leave.
About: I have extensive professional and personal experience caring for dogs of all ages, temperaments, and needs. I am comfortable administering oral medications, as well as injections like insulin, and following special care instruction. I currently have a lot of availability so I have a bunch of time to get to know your pets! Please message me regarding house sitting availability. I focus on maintaining their normal routine to minimize stress when caring for pets in a client’s home. I provide updates, photos, and notes after each visit so owners can feel confident their pet is happy and well cared for.
About: I have been caring for animals since I was a child. I started small with hamster and fish, eventually teaching myself to care for larger species through rigorous online teachings and experience. I work part time so that I can spend as much time working with and caring for animals as possible. Ideally taking care of at least 3 pets a day would be best case for me. I do not have the ability to care for pets in my home but I do have the knowledge and experience to crate fur babies when needed without causing them distress. I am familiar with getting animals of all domestic sizes into a state of calm for walks or sleep time or even cuddles after a long day of missing their folks.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sycaway. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
