“Where do I start! Melissa and Family are truly the BEST Rover experience we have had! EVER! The care Bella received was priceless! The house and grounds are a dog’s paradise!!! And the humans made sure Bella had daily walks in the woods, swim in the pond, chasing squirrels and chipmunks …so much so, Bella ate and slept well. This is a FIRST FOLKS! I was thinking Bella wouldn’t want to come back home she was having such an amazing time. I know Bella will miss her new human friends and Dhooney that is Bella’s newest best fur friend! About: I love dogs (and cats) more than anything! I am happy to treat your fur babies to the finest care during the day, overnight, while you are on vacation, or once in awhile for walks, hikes, check ins, at your place or mine! A popular request this summer has been from folks on visiting who would like me to day sit at their campground/rv/hotel/air bnb while they enjoy the park, biking, boating or going out to eat. For boarding, My husband and I have a wonderful centrally located home in the Acadia region off the island. We have a fenced in yard and can take the stress out of leaving your pets while on vacation. Pick up and drop off can be arranged at the head of the island if requested. Wedding or event coming up? I can be your pets chaperon then too, just ask :) Need to exercise your pup? Mini day hikes available too- custom fit for your pups comfort. This summer I am taking a sabbatical to my career job which means more hiking, walks and freedom to spend time with your pet- with flexible scheduling :) While my home offers a wonderful spacious lawn and garden area for the pups with a secure 4' ht enclosed fence, pets are never left unattended in the area. Happy to board with your routine in mind in terms of crating or free range of our home and total pampering. Pet sitting at your home is welcome too!

“I can't say enough good things about Jess! I was really nervous about leaving my dog with someone for the first time, but she made me feel so comfortable. From the moment I dropped him off, it was clear that she genuinely cares for animals. She treated my dog like her own, giving him plenty of attention and love. She sent me regular updates and photos, which really made me happy to see him throughout his stay. He seemed so happy and content when I picked him up, and I could tell he had a great time. I will absolutely be booking with her again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!”

“Nieves was amazing! I have always relied on family to watch any dogs I own but I stepped out of my comfort zone and was thoroughly impressed. Murphy and Chloe were so well taken care of by Nieves and her boyfriend. I received photos and video updates throughout their stay. It made being away from them so much easier. They were so loved!! We will be trusting them with our fur babies in the future for sure!!”

“Great family. We are so glad that we found Kate. Our Monet hound dog was treated well with love for the whole week while we were out of town. Kate communicated well with details on how good things were going and photos too. Monet definitely settled in well with Kate and her family. We highly recommend looking into Kate watching your pet.”

About: I have 20+ years experience taking care of all kinds of dogs. From young puppies to elderly dogs. I can go at your pets pace to ensure their comfort and happiness when you are away. I previously owned a dog with extensive medical issues, including epilepsy, so I am very experienced in taking care of special needs pets, administering medications and handling medical emergencies. I am available any time of day and any day of the week. Very little notice is needed for me to fit you in my schedule. Pets are welcome to be on the furniture in my home if that is something you allow in yours. I have a peaceful and quiet home with a fenced in yard and lots of loving attention for your pet.

“We used to leave Rigby with the same pet sitter for many years, upon their closing we had yet to find a reliable pet sitter other than family and friends. We saw Krista's reviews and decided to try it out for a weekend. I am so glad we did, Krista cared for Rigby in her home just how we were used to! I will definitely be using her services in the future!”

“Elizabeth is such a caring, attentive sitter. It is clear she really loves animals. She sent tons of updates and photos. She was also very flexible and easy to communicate with regarding pick up and drop off. I hope to have my dog stay with her again in the future!”

About: I know that every pet has their own needs and own personalities. I have been working with high energy dogs, older dogs, small dogs for years now. Remaining flexible with each individual animals needs. Friends have called me when they will be away for long weekends, I’m very flexible and am here to make sure your dogs, cats and any other pets are taken care of so you can enjoy your vacations, long weekends, nights out, whatever it may be. I am currently in school part time and I work as a house cleaner on the days that I do not have school. I typically work 6 hours a day (3 hours a house), having time to stop and check on doggies in between houses and in between classes as well. I have a beautiful family at home so on the weekends I typically like to spend time with them, while checking on the pups throughout the day and staying overnight with the pups! My partner, his 6 year old son, our Corgi Coffee and I have made the decision to open our home up for boarding allowing us to all care and love on the pups while also being able to have more quality family time together. While at the home of other pets I try and make the pet feel as comfortable as possible while their owners are away, making sure to keep their routines about the same. I will have owners leave instructions of care for me, along with feeding times, if they have any silly personality traits or triggers, leave any medications they may need, etc. I always make sure to know where the food, toys, leash and treats are. In my own home, owners can bring crates if needed, animals can sleep in our bed or owners can bring their doggie beds. We have a large backyard, but it is not fenced in, we currently have one lead we use for doggies, and owners can also bring their own. Feeding time will stay to what the dogs are use to and owners should leave instructions for care/routines for me so even though they’re in a new space, they have some consistency with their schedules!

About: 🐱🐶 Animals have been my whole world my whole life! I have experience with a variety of animals from fish 🐠 to turtles🐢 as well as dogs🐕 and cats🐈⬛. I use positive reinforcement training techniques with our three rescue dogs and I use worship all cats techniques with our cats 😆. I am comfortable and familiar with the needs of puppies and kittens as well as senior animals. So medication💊 and physical therapy💪 exercises are something I am happy to provide! I went to college for animal behavior and animal sciences and have a degree in Ecology 🌎 I completed a 2 year course in wildlife rehabilitation. I will treat your animals as if they were my own and that means they get the utmost care and attention. 🫡 I will respect and follow whatever your babies' needs and preferences are as well as yours when it comes to them and to your space. 💓 We love taking our dogs on all sorts of outdoor adventures but safety is always our top priorty⛰️🦺! I am great at reading animals and understanding the different personalities and quirks they each have so I can provide them with the best care that works for them 🧐 Every animal is different but they all deserve our best! I have a flexible schedule and my own car that allows me to be an adaptive and on call care giver. I don't mind late bookings or cancelations as I understand that things come up. I am new to rover and still figuring out what works best but am always willing to work with clients on what works best for them and their pets. Animals are my first priority but I also believe homes and personal spaces are sacred and I will always treat them with respect and attention. All animals are different so its important to use to always be aware of anything potentially unsafe. Our home is for animals first and there is nowhere they aren't allowed although animal guests and clients are always fully supervised to make sure they are safe and comfortable. Our home is very easy going and has a lot of space for different needs and comforts. In your home, I will defer to your personal preferences always.

About: As a pet lover for my entire life, I am very open to who I will take in. I have taken care of my family’s dogs and cats. As well as friends’ pets as well. Not just our small pets. I worked on my family farm in the middle of Maine near Dover-Foxcroft. That included Horses, chickens, occasionally some cows and donkeys. I would love to take care of your pets for whenever you need me to. Just give me any details about them. Medical, whether they are in heat, spayed or neutered. I will be sure to accommodate accordingly. You can contact me via email, call, or text. For those who need service at their home, I would gladly organize that with you as well. Small, medium and large pets are all welcomed. As for cancellations and early pickups, I will do my best to be as flexible as I can. As this is for the pet, not the money. ❤️🐾 I currently work part time and I’m a mom of a little boy. I have pets of my own that I take care of on a daily basis. I have integrated my son into my pets lives and they’re all best friends. Being with animals has always been a major part of my life! Currently not offering in home services, or house sitting services. However, when checking in or walking pups I do make sure water bowl is filled if I notice it’s low and I make sure to bring a pop up water bowl on long walks in the summer.

“William was responsive in answering my nervous nellie questions before I decided to book a two-night overnight stay of our two dogs with him. He was prompt with ongoing communication and listened carefully to our questions and concerns when we met in person for drop-off. He was on time and shared a photo of our dogs each day.”
