About: Hi, My name is Julia and up until a couple years ago I used to have a large black pit/lab mix named Cash (after Johnny Cash ☺️). I had him for almost 8 years since he was a puppy and trained him myself (I even got him therapy dog certified so I could take him to work with me at the hospital sometimes). I have experience taking care of him as well as friends/family dogs of all breeds and sizes from puppies to senior dogs. Unfortunately, he battled cancer for almost two years and he lost that battle a few years ago 😔. I wasn’t ready for another dog for a few years so I just fostered dogs and volunteered at shelters. However, a couple years ago I found my current pup Zev on the streets in a small village in Portugal and knew he was meant to be my dog. He’s a sweet scruffy mixed breed dog that loves people, dogs, affection, swimming, adventuring, and playing fetch. Nothing makes me happier than being around & taking care of dogs! Keeping dogs safe and happy is a priority to me! I really love all animals of all breeds, but especially love dogs! ❤️ In my free time and as I travel, I volunteer with local dog shelters & foster as I’m able to.
