“Idania and her family have been excellent dog sitters! Their love and care towards our Pecan was cery obvious! We are saddly moving out of state and will miss having this wonderful family in our daily lives! We highly recommend Idania!”

“Anthony took great care of my pal Rowlf while I was in Miami for work. He went above and beyond with trips to the dog park and feeding him his special dinner every night. Rowlf was always excited to see him when I dropped him off. I'll definitely use Anthony again when we're back in Surfside!”

“We were just cutting through Illinois for work and stopped for a Cubs game. Very thankful for Leanet providing our 2 pups a day of freedom instead of being kenneled in our travel trailer. It gave us peace of mind to be able to take our time and enjoy our day as well.”

“Andres is awesome. He was the first "new person" (non-family/friend) to watch my rescue pup Dezi. And I never worried -- it is clear he has great instincts regarding what her needs/sensitivity. Eg. she was shy initially, preferring to sit on his couch quietly. On the walk, he let her guide the way. By the end of day, she was ready for belly rubs!! I'll use Andres again. Thanks for taking such good care of my sweet little girl!”

About: Me and my husband have been working from home since the pandemic, which allows us to share a lot of time together, including with our dog Paris, she is a very sensible and friendly 5-year-old dog. Thanks to the fact that we have the availability to be at home, we make at least two outings a day with our pet and the dogs that we take care of, we also try to take them to carry out our errands if it is not complicated... the dogs that take care of us do not remain alone since we are attentive to them From the moment they arrive at our house they become another member of the family. If it is an adult dog, we try to be aware of their needs. We ask all the necessary questions to care for each pet since they are children who need help. love and attention. I have been taking care of dogs for more than six years and I also have dogs which I trained behavior and help them share with others if they are scared. I like to take them for a walk, play with them, a happy puppy, a happy family. I accept dog of all ages Im not working so im full time at home so I wake up around 8 am and take the dogs out for a walk. When I get back I give them their food, during the day I play with them, sometimes they accompany me to run errands or they stay at home around 7 at night they go out again for a longer walk to Tire them out and then they have dinner I have yard and balcony son they can take the sun, see people and don’t get bored also I have a dog and she is so friendly love to play with other so she will be a good friend for you dog don't feels alone
About: Pet boarding & house sitting services offered. I require transportation. I love animals. I really enjoy cats of all types, from cuddly to shy. I am very responsible when it comes to dogs, I will walk dogs based on their walk schedules. As of right now, I stay home most of the day while I seek full-time employment. I currently live with my mother, so having her around is an extra set of eyes on your pet. Neither of us are allergic to any animals. My daily routine is very flexible as of right now, I am just looking for a full-time job. I can walk dogs based on their schedules & have all the time in the world for a cat companion. I live in an apartment with a balcony & will not allow your pet on the balcony unless it is okay with you (the owner). Pets are family. Pet care fits perfectly throughout my daily & weekly routine. My schedule is very flexible while I search for full-time employment (I am searching for something that is related to sustainability). I mostly allow pets to roam around as they please, unless the owner requests a different style of caretaking. I stick to their schedules, ensuring that the temporary transition into my home is as enjoyable & stress-free as possible (most of my bookings happen to be boarding in my home, rather than in the owner's). I am always available to house-sit & watch your pet from the comfort of their own home, if that is a better fit for your pet.
About: I live in one of the most beautiful cities in Miami, the Village of Biscayne Park, neighboring Miami Shores and El Portal. I have loved & cared for dogs all my life from many of my own to friends & family pets as well. From puppies to senior care I have owned Great Danes, Sharpeis, Frenchies, Italian Greyhounds, Chihuahuas & many more. I always vibe well with dogs. I have the patience & experience on how to administer all type of medications, exercise, diets & special food. I work from home, which makes me available 24/7 -including holidays- and allows me to do dog boarding and day care. Therefore, you can be assured your pet will get all my love, attention as well as lots of play time. Our pets have access to the whole inside of the house in a very comfortable environment. I also have a fence-secured backyard, where they’re free to roam around with supervision at all times. I normally will let our dogs out in the yard about 3-5 times a day depending on the weather. I live one block away from our city recreational park for those nice long walks. 🐾🐶🦮🐕🦺.

“Kelly was a great dog sitter. Easy to communicate with and fair pricing. Our dog was super happy after doggy daycare, she sent several pictures and took great care of our dog. The best dog sitter!! We will definitely use her again. Thanks Kelly ❤️”

“I previously requested Lioras dog walking service which was 5 stats, and now I'm glad to rate her 5 stars on day care in the sitters home. She's awesome and I feel grateful to have her as a caring and attentive person willing to look after him. Thank you!!!”

“I cannot recommend Ammy enough! She provided exceptional care for my dog, making sure he felt comfortable, loved, and well-exercised. The communication was fantastic—I received regular updates, adorable photos, and quick responses to any questions. It was clear that my pup was having a great time, and I had complete peace of mind while I was away. Ammy is reliable, professional, and truly passionate about animals. I will absolutely be booking with her again!”

About: Hello! We are Aby and John and we can't wait to meet and take care of your pup! :). I have many years of experience taking care of various dogs (big and small), including my best friend and yorkie mix Daisy (pictured) who sadly recently passed away at 19 years old. I have experience with dogs with medical needs as Daisy was blind and required daily glaucoma drops and an inhaler. I have experience with puppies, adult, and senior dogs. My husband John previously worked at a veterinary clinic for 5 years and also has experience with dogs with medical issues as his dogs have needed physical therapy and daily medication. We have 1 small dog named Krypto and he's a westie mix who is dog friendly and playful. We welcome only 1 dog for doggy daycare and boarding 🐕. *Please give your doggy a bath before dropping him or her off so that we can all snuggle on the couch 🐶🩷* My husband and I do not work weekends or holidays so your pup will have lots of love while you are away! I also have a flexible schedule so if there is a day that you would like to book and we are listed as "unavailable" please let us know! There are two large parks and dog parks near our place that we would love to take your best friend to! We absolutely love dogs and will dote on your best friend! Let us know if your dog likes to play fetch or walk in the park or just likes to cuddle!
“Aaron was a great choice for my anxious girl, she came back more relaxed and happy as ever. I definitely recommend Aaron. He was kind, attentive and his pup is the sweetest, really helped my girl come out of her shell. Thanks ?? again!”

“Great experience! Lourdes suggested a meet and greet by video chat prior to the visit just to ensure that all our inquiries were addressed so when we arrived, she was already familiar with my dog Lola and what my expectations were. She met them all and more! Highly recommend her! I couldn't find a sitter available in my immediate neighbourhood so it was a 20 minute drive, well worth the trip. Thank you Lourdes! Lola is already asking when she can come back!”

Alex was great with Thor! He was patient, caring, and made Thor feel comfortable right away. You could tell he genuinely enjoys being around dogs, and Thor was so excited to see him which made me feel even better leaving him in Alex’s care. He was also super communicative and reliable throughout everything. Definitely recommend him!

Charuwan took the absolute BEST care of my Dubu. From the moment we arrived, Dubu instantly felt comfortable and walked right into her house like she’d been there before. Charuwan has such warm, calm, and loving energy — and I truly believe Dubu felt that too. She kept me updated throughout the day with messages and photos of all their little adventures, which gave me so much peace of mind. You can tell she genuinely cares. When we came to pick Dubu up, she didn’t even want to leave! That alone says everything. We were also a little late picking her up, and Charuwan was incredibly kind and understanding about it. I’m so grateful we found her and will absolutely be booking again 🤍🐶

Gustavo and Ales were incredible. Our dog Micah came along on her trip to Miami and spent about a week staying with them. He came home tired and happy each day. Ales was always flexible, even when we had to change days and times, definitely more than most sitters would have been. Always so friendly and communicative - would highly recommend them to anyone. Will definitely use them again when we come next time!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Surfside commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
