I am comfortable & able to crate if needed. Due to my experience as a dog handler, I am able to work with animals that require more

About: With my experience of caring for my family’s small yorkies for the past 14 years, I say that my skills are mostly surrounded in the area of caring for older animals. Although in more recent years I have only had smaller pets, bigger pets are not out of range for me since I often care for my neighbors golden retrievers. I am a full time undergrad student who also works part time at a local brewery, although that may mean that my hours are limited, I often see pet sitting as luxury to help me connect with nature and take time out of my typical homework schedule. I strive to create a welcoming and safe environment for the pets whenever I am caring for them. This can include daily walks, regular feeding schedules, and ample playtime. I also prioritize cleanliness and do not mind brushing and bathing the animals to keep them clean and healthy
About: I have owned pets my whole life and currently have 2 fur babies of my own (a pug and a GSP!). I believe that pets are an extension of family and will treat yours as if they were a part of mine. I grew up with dogs, cats, reptiles, fish and even a hedgehog, so I feel very comfortable with not only watching over animals but having a great time doing it! I would relish the opportunity to play with and spend time with any animal that I have the privilege of caring after and would love to incorporate them into my outgoing, active lifestyle (if that's their thing!). I have been known to make even the most shiest of pets comfortable enough to come out of their shell, which is always so rewarding for me and comforting for their parents. I have had experience with pets of all ages, including those with special needs, who have had mobility limitations or have needed oral medications. As a nurse, I am very comfortable giving injections if needed. I am confident that with my clinical assessment skills, God forbid it happens, that I would immediately act and get pets to the vet in an emergency situation. I would love to watch over your home, just as I would my own. As a Travel Nurse of 5 years, I have a long history of utilizing Airbnb properties/vacation rentals with great reviews and zero complaints. I am looking forward to the opportunity to connect with you and your pet(s)! I work remotely as a nurse during the week and am more flexible in the afternoon. I am typically available a few weekends a month as well! I have experience housesitting and can accommodate your pets needs while you are away, ensuring they are well cared for and loved until you return.
