“Peggy always takes such good care of our cat Kiki when we have to go out of town, and really caters to her specific needs! (Kiki is very needy, lol) We're so appreciative of her help and it really puts our mind at ease when we're away. Thanks so much, Peggy!”

About: I’ve had pets in my home since I was a baby. I’ve had dogs, cats, fish, gerbils, and even hermit crabs. I love animals! I grew up with 3 cats in one home and 7 in another. Two of my cats lived to be over 20 years old, and my current cat is 19. I love senior kitties and have plenty of experience giving them shots and other types of medication. For cats I offer feeding/watering, litter cleaning, basic grooming, play, company, and medication administering. I also have experience with small and medium-sized dogs such as toy poodles and pugs. For dogs I offer walking, feeding/watering, basic grooming, play, and company. I’m currently between jobs so I have plenty of time for drop-in visits and dog-walking throughout the day. I prefer morning and evening visits but can also do mid-day if needed. I treat your fur babies with the utmost care and love, as if they were my own. If anything seems out of the ordinary, rest assured I will contact you and take the necessary action to keep your baby safe.
“Ru is so kind and loving with our cats, they immediately accepted her into their tribe 😻. Her communication is great, and she was very accommodative when my schedule changed at the last minute. Ru is our “go to” cat sitter. Thanks!!!”

“Alisa is a very attentive and caring sitter with a great connection to animals. She and Rocky found a common language right away, and it was clear he felt comfortable and happy with her. Alisa is easy to communicate with, responsive, and very accurate and thoughtful. I felt confident leaving Rocky in her care and would happily book with her again.”

About: I have been working as a veterinary assistant for 18 years and have done pet sitting and dog walking for 16 years. I have loved animals since i was a little girl. I can schedule walks for earlier in the morning or when the sun is going down. Since it's to hot to go during the day I have a fenced in back yard. I can't board animals at my house. But i can take animals on walks, drop ins and over nights depending on where the place is.
“I’m new to the Rover app and needed someone last minute to come watch our dog for the day and Jana was amazing! She was quick to respond, even at 6am and she was so friendly and professional. You can really tell that she loves animals. My fur baby was so happy and he seemed to really like the quality time he spent with her. I’d definitely recommend Jana to others!”

About: What sets me apart is that caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I got my first dog when I was in elementary school, and since he was a puppy, I've been responsible for feeding him, taking him on walks, playing with him, and making sure he's happy and well cared for. Even today, I still help care for him. I also regularly care for a sweet pug named Cookie, who stays with me anywhere from a week to a couple of weeks at a time. During her stays, I make sure she gets plenty of walks, playtime, affection, and follows her normal feeding routine so she feels comfortable and at home. In addition to smaller dogs, I have experience with large breeds as well. My newest fur baby is a German Shepherd, so I'm comfortable handling bigger, more energetic dogs and making sure they get the exercise and attention they need. I also have experience caring for adult cats and understand that every pet has their own personality and routine. Whether your pet loves to play or prefers a calm, quiet environment, I'm happy to adapt to their needs. I treat every pet like they're my own, and I know how important it is to leave them with someone you can trust. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for while you're away, and to give you peace of mind through reliable, attentive care. I’m currently working part time, so I’ll have lots of time to look after your pets! As of now I am on summer break, and starting the fall quarter I will have online part time school, I have a backyard that is fully stone walls with gate to protect the animals! I have fur babies of my own, but they each have their own crates that they are able to sleep in, or I have room to set up a crate for your fur baby as well:)!
About: My goal is to create an environment and relationship that makes your life easier and your pup happier. I’m loving, gentle, and patient with all pup ages! I’m available any day of the week. I just ask for a 2 day notice for booking and for canceling. For walks, preferably early morning or evenings (especially in hot days. I want your pup to enjoy their walk, and not be uncomfortable or in pain from the hot pavement) I appreciate your consideration! I adapt to what your puppy is used to. My goal is not to brake their routine. I would like to jump in where you need me to assist and maintain the routine you approve and would like to maintain. I’m here to help you both!
“I was so impressed with Michelle and Liz. They played with my (very active) cat and I was never worrried for a moment. I felt like my cat was being taken care of by a friend. This was the first time I left my cat alone with ANYONE and I was very nervous about how she would do but I got pictures of her cuddling and playing with Michelle and Liz and I felt so relieved every day. I would definitely use them again. They were a godsend.”

About: Hi there! I’ve loved animal my entire life and have had dogs growing up and remember begging to have a pet to take care of. 20 years later, I never shook the feeling! I have 2 cats! I babysit dogs of friends, or friends of friends. Word of mouth has really helped me advance my dog sitting skills but I’ve decided to bring it here and meet all the babies around me! I also kitty sit, so if you have a cat that needs feeding, or hanging with, I would love to. I work until 7 pm on Monday-Thursday and work from home on Fridays, usually will just have meetings until 2 then I am free. Also free on the weekends! I will take dogs on a long or short walk, whatever they're used to and can handle. i can also hike with dogs if that's what they like to do. For cats, I play with them with their toys or cuddle with them if they're not into playing.
About: Animal-loving artist having worked as a Veterinary assistant in shelters, veterinary offices and animal hospitals. I’m also an Animal Rescuer focusing on rescuing, fostering, and finding permanent homes for abused and neglected animals in the US and Asia. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of energy and time to exercise, care for, and love your furbaby! Just give me a couple hour notice :) I’m willing to travel to come care for your furbaby! My EV is equipped with kennel (and leash) if needed! I’m also available to run errands for your petcare :)
“Melissa did a great job of taking care of my cats during my extended vacation. She communicated and sent me pictures everyday leaving me at ease. I would definitely recommend her!”

About: I have owned dogs my whole life and have volunteered at humane societies for a few years mainly as a dog kennel ambassador. I also have experience with bigger dogs, puppies, and senior dogs! In fact I have had a yorkie since he was a pup and a childhood dog of 15 years! I have taken care of bigger breeds such as husky/wolf mixes and very small dogs such as chihuahuas. Not only that I also have a cat! Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I am a college student and have most Fridays, and weekends off so I’m usually free all day. From Monday to Thursday I have classes but am available mornings, late afternoons by appointment. I only do drop-ins and walks but when I am in someone else’s home I make it a priority to be respectful of your space and make sure nothing is moved around or messed around with.
“If you are looking for a very reliable pet sitter, choose Ryder. He was excellent with our pets. I did not worry at all about our pets while we were on our vacation. He kept great communication with us, and I highly recommend him. -Wendy G. Tijeras, N.M.”

About: Hi! I'm Michelle, and I genuinely love getting to know each pet's unique personality. Whether your pup loves long walks, playing fetch, sniffing every tree on the block, or simply relaxing with company, my goal is for them to feel safe, happy, and excited every time we're together. I also believe pet parents deserve peace of mind, so I always strive to communicate clearly and keep owners updated while their pets are in my care. Experience with Dogs: I have spent the last six years walking dogs several days a week, working with dogs of all different breeds, sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I've become especially comfortable helping anxious or fearful dogs build confidence while keeping safety my top priority. I'm especially attentive to leash safety, reading body language, and adjusting each walk to the dog's comfort level to ensure they feel ready to explore outdoors. Senior Dog Care: I also have several years of experience caring for senior dogs with mobility issues, hearing and vision loss, allergies, and medication needs. This taught me patience, attention to detail, and the importance of adapting care to each dog's individual needs. Senior pets often communicate through subtle changes in behavior, and I pride myself on noticing shifts in their temperament, mobility, appetite, energy levels, comfort, or daily routines so I can respond with calm and appropriate care. Training & Enrichment: I enjoy keeping pets mentally engaged through positive reinforcement, interactive play, and enrichment activities that match their personality and energy level. Whether we're practicing simple cues, playing a favorite game, exploring something new, or simply enjoying quality one-on-one time, I love creating positive experiences that help pets feel happy, engaged, and confident. Every pet has their own personality, quirks, and routines, and getting to know those little things is honestly one of my favorite parts of this work. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe, loved, and excited to see me each time we meet. My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to provide dependable care throughout the week. While Fridays and Saturdays may fill up more quickly due to existing commitments, I always do my best to accommodate new requests whenever possible. If you're unsure about availability, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to see what I can do! Safety is always my highest priority, whether I'm caring for pets in your home or out on a walk. I make a point to stay aware of our surroundings, watching for potential hazards, changes in behavior, and anything that may cause a pet stress or discomfort. I pay close attention to body language and know that even subtle changes in posture, movement, appetite, energy, or demeanor can be important. I also understand that every pet has different routines, boundaries, and comfort levels. My goal is to respect those routines while creating an environment where they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for. I believe clear communication with pet parents is just as important, so I always keep owners updated and will never hesitate to reach out if something seems out of the ordinary. At the end of every visit, my hope is that your pet feels happier, more comfortable, and excited for the next time we spend together.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Sunland
What a thoughtful and responsible caretaker! Larissa kindly fed and played with my 3 cats, including a pretty crazy panther-kitten; I felt like they were in great hands, she followed my instructions to a tee, and even the shy cat came out to play with her. Hope to be able to book her services for my future trips away!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
