About: I have helped professionals in the veterinary field groom and train animals. I have also been pet sitting for family and have had many pets throughout my life! I am currently a part-time student at Copper Mountain College, and work weekends at Hi-Desert Tails. I have a bit of free time as I have online classes! I live in the desert and work from home, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to actually hang out with your pet. Walks, playtime, lounging, adventures, or just having someone nearby while they nap, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’m comfortable with puppies and younger dogs who need consistency, exercise, and reinforcement of basic training, as well as senior pets who need a slower pace, patience, and a little extra TLC. I’m also very good with nervous or particular animals and don’t expect every pet to immediately want to be my best friend. And yes, you will get pictures. Probably too many pictures. Mostly, I want you to leave knowing your pet isn’t just being “watched.” They’re hanging out with someone who genuinely likes having them around and who will absolutely learn their entire personality before you get home. I work from home and have a pretty flexible schedule, so pet care fits very naturally into my day. I’m home a lot, which means plenty of time for walks, playtime, potty breaks, meals, and just having someone around. I also genuinely like having animals woven into my day. A morning walk, a dog under my desk while I work, an afternoon break outside, or somebody following me from room to room is pretty much my idea of a good workday. I’m able to adjust my routine around each pet rather than expecting them to adjust to mine. I pay attention. Every animal has their own routine, personality, quirks, and boundaries, and I think good pet care starts with noticing those things. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I’ll follow the routine they already know as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, house rules, sleeping arrangements, and whatever oddly specific ritual your pet has convinced you is completely necessary. I’m careful about doors, leashes, unfamiliar animals, food, and anything else that could become a safety issue. I also never force interaction with a nervous or unsure pet. I’d rather earn their trust on their timeline. My goal is pretty simple: you should feel completely comfortable leaving, and your pet should feel safe, relaxed, and very much at home while you’re gone.
