About: I've had dogs my entire adult life. My last dog was a special girl and didn't get along with other dogs so when I went to work I hired someone to visit and hang out with her and I called that person her "friend for hire". I'd love to be your pets friend for hire. In addition to having my own dogs I have been a volunteer with a local shelter for the past year. I have experience with dog handling, walking, training, medical recovery, some medication administration, and general playing/loving/cuddling. I have experience with special needs dogs, untrained dogs, unsocialized dogs, senior dogs, puppies, and even some mess dogs. About: I've grown up with dogs, raised my 3 adult children around dogs. Just welcomed a dachshund into our home. He's sleep / crate trained and fully potty trained. His current schedule is sleeping through the night 7pm to 6am and is in his crate for 3 90min to 2 hour naps a day. When he's awake he's home with us. I'm available for drop in care and walks for 1-2 small to medium size dogs. I will not have my own dog with me. I will cater to unique walking, sleeping, feeding and care schedules. Walks, playtime, lounging, adventures, or just having someone nearby while they nap, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’m comfortable with puppies and younger dogs who need consistency, exercise, and reinforcement of basic training, as well as senior pets who need a slower pace, patience, and a little extra TLC. I work from home and have a pretty flexible schedule, so pet care fits very naturally into my day. I’m home a lot, which means plenty of time for walks, playtime, potty breaks, meals, and just having someone around. I also genuinely like having animals woven into my day. A morning walk, a dog under my desk while I work, an afternoon break outside, or somebody following me from room to room is pretty much my idea of a good workday. I’m able to adjust my routine around each pet rather than expecting them to adjust to mine. I pay attention. Every animal has their own routine, personality, quirks, and boundaries, and I think good pet care starts with noticing those things. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I’ll follow the routine they already know as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, house rules, sleeping arrangements, and whatever oddly specific ritual your pet has convinced you is completely necessary. I’m careful about doors, leashes, unfamiliar animals, food, and anything else that could become a safety issue. I also never force interaction with a nervous or unsure pet. I’d rather earn their trust on their timeline. My goal is pretty simple: you should feel completely comfortable leaving, and your pet should feel safe, relaxed, and very much at home while you’re gone.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
