About: My family has had dogs ever since I was a baby. I didn’t own my own dog until I met Buddy and we have since then been inseparable. We go to the dog park every single day to play with all the other loving dogs. I’m currently working from home and am very flexible. Can take your pets for a walk and play with them outside or inside. They will be loved. I am proactive and will encourage the pups to run around outside, play fetch, and wrestle each other. Buddy would love more friends to play with.

About: I’m basically the friend who comes to your house and spends more time talking to your dog than to you. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love getting to know their individual little personalities, the weird habits, favorite spots, specific snack expectations, and all. I live in the desert and work from home, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to actually hang out with your pet. Walks, playtime, lounging, adventures, or just having someone nearby while they nap, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’m comfortable with puppies and younger dogs who need consistency, exercise, and reinforcement of basic training, as well as senior pets who need a slower pace, patience, and a little extra TLC. I’m also very good with nervous or particular animals and don’t expect every pet to immediately want to be my best friend. And yes, you will get pictures. Probably too many pictures. Mostly, I want you to leave knowing your pet isn’t just being “watched.” They’re hanging out with someone who genuinely likes having them around and who will absolutely learn their entire personality before you get home. I work from home and have a pretty flexible schedule, so pet care fits very naturally into my day. I’m home a lot, which means plenty of time for walks, playtime, potty breaks, meals, and just having someone around. I also genuinely like having animals woven into my day. A morning walk, a dog under my desk while I work, an afternoon break outside, or somebody following me from room to room is pretty much my idea of a good workday. I’m able to adjust my routine around each pet rather than expecting them to adjust to mine. I pay attention. Every animal has their own routine, personality, quirks, and boundaries, and I think good pet care starts with noticing those things. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I’ll follow the routine they already know as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, house rules, sleeping arrangements, and whatever oddly specific ritual your pet has convinced you is completely necessary. I’m careful about doors, leashes, unfamiliar animals, food, and anything else that could become a safety issue. I also never force interaction with a nervous or unsure pet. I’d rather earn their trust on their timeline. My goal is pretty simple: you should feel completely comfortable leaving, and your pet should feel safe, relaxed, and very much at home while you’re gone.

“Our dogs love Lacey! Being able to come to Joshua Tree with our dogs is fun, but it’s also great to have the option to have a day where we can hit the shops, sit down and an indoor restaurant, and do some dog-free activities. Lacey has been our repeat sitter for our Joshua Tree trips and our dogs love her yard and how she treats them like we do at home. One of our dogs takes fluoxetine and the other has anxiety as well and both are fine there- I also don’t feel anxious leaving the dogs with Lacey which says a lot (pet parents of anxiety dogs will get what I mean)! There is so much space for the dogs to play both indoors and out, and she has a double fence situation so even our little escape artists can’t get out. We highly recommend Lacey if you need a day sitting or overnight sitting- she will treat your dogs like you do and they’ll be so happy to have a fun day outside playing with the other dogs who love her house as well :) also worth noting that both times our dogs have been there they had other friends to play with, which is wonderful and helps them socialize !”

We were staying at a pet friendly resort but wanted a day where we didn’t have to worry about leaving Dot alone for too long, or bringing her out with us during the hottest time of the year. Even though it was just a single daycare session, Megan provided regular updates and kept our girl happy with plenty of playtime, potty and water breaks. When we finally got to Palm Springs and went to drop them off the first day, it was just so pleasant. The yard is clean, the pool is accessible to the dogs, and they wholeheartedly welcome them into their home. We chatted with Mike for about 20 minutes before my husband and I left for Joshua Tree NP. They are such lovely people! Mike sent us so many pictures it was clear our pup-kids were more than happy. By the second day, they ran into the house at full speed. We are ever so grateful for their services and are disappointed that we dont live in the area to use them again. We will always recommend though.”
