“Cori is absolutely a perfect match! She is loving, attentive and generous with her tending to Louie. Her family is equally engaging and offer a comfortable environment for humans and pets equally. I feel very confident that Louie experienced canine Nirvana during his stay. I am happy to have booked more stays with Citi and highly recommend her.”

“Amber was amazing! I had a last minute travel and she was so accommodating! From sending pics and videos of my puppy to being very responsive to any questions or concerns I had. This was my first experience using Rover but I’m so glad I found Amber. She is definitely my go to now for my puppy ?”

“Julie has such an awesome home and yard for doggies! She took great care of Skye and sent daily updates and photos. We felt confident she was in good hands being cared for as a member of the family :)”

“Dana is absolutely wonderful with our dogs. They go right in her house and make themselves at home which puts our minds at ease. I really enjoy the updates and pictures she provides.”

“Stephanie was wonderful! Took care of my dog and kept me updated with pictures throughout her stay. She looked happy and well taken care of the entire time! Would definitely book with Stephanie again”

“I have to be very picky when choosing sitters as one pup has separation anxiety and will not stay with just anyone. I have had many issues with past sitters being dishonest and not following my guidance but I HIGHLY recommend Tanine!!! I have two very high energy pups (golden doodle and lab). She kept me updated, good and bad, and made sure to give my pup his meds with enough time for them to be effective prior to crating. She ensured to make them as comfortable as possible through the day and I truly appreciate her level of care. I specifically chose her due to the training background and I am so glad I followed through though there were not many reviews. I did not have to ask for pictures or updates throughout. She has small children that seem to love dogs so I know my pups received comfort as they love children. She is a gem! To have the patience and be willing to work with us through his anxiety is not something you find in all Rover sitters. Glad to have finally found a permanent option!”

“It was the first time our boy stayed away from us. We were worried about him but now we are worry free for his future stays with Heather and China. Thank you for spoiling our boy.”

“Erica was fantastic! 🌟 This was our first time ever boarding our 3 1/2 year-old sheltie, so we weren’t sure how well he would do. We checked out two local kennels, and they were not a good fit for him as he was very scared. So we looked into dog sitters in a home environment. I met with Erica before the booking and she put my mind at ease. When we got him back he slept most of the rest of the day since he had so much fun playing with all the dogs! He was well cared for and we will definitely book with her again! Thank you so much ❤️ 🩵”

“My dogs absolutely love their time with Aunt Leslie. They settle in quickly as if it hasn't been a couple months since the last stay. I enjoyed my time away without any concerns about the pups best they were under Leslie's care and supervision.”

“Connie is great! We left Boomer for 10 days and she gave us daily updates/photos. She is a good communicator and very responsive. Boomer came back happy and exhausted. Thanks, Connie for taking good care of Boomer.”
“Rebekah watched Jane while I was on a 10 day vacation. Everyday I received photo and video updates on how Jane was doing. It really helped me enjoy my trip knowing she was happy and well cared for. Rebekah is very professional and does an exceptional job!!!”

“From the moment I met Kathryn and her family during the meet and greet for my two pups, I knew they were in the best hands. The warm and welcoming environment they provided instantly put me at ease, and I could see how much they genuinely cared for animals. Throughout the dog sitting services, Kathryn went above and beyond to ensure my pups were comfortable, happy, and well taken care of. Her dedication and love for animals truly shone through in everything she did. I am so pleased/grateful for Kathryn's exceptional care and will definitely be utilizing her services again. I highly recommend Kathryn to anyone seeking a reliable, loving, and trustworthy pet sitter. Thank you for everything, Kathryn!”

“This was Meeshie’s first time away from us and Laurie did an awesome job caring for her. She sent photos and texts letting us know how Meeshie was doing everyday. We are so glad we found a caring/ loving caregiver for our dog and will definitely book Laurie whenever we need someone to look after Meeshie.”

“Linda and her family were great! I loved that she sent videos and pictures throughout the day. My Yorkie, Titan, was very happy and well taken care of during his stay. I would highly recommend using Linda and look forward to using her again in the future.”

“We always try to book Traci when we’re leaving town. She is conscientious, flexible, and cheerful, and provides frequent updates with photos. We have no worries at all when we leave our pups with Traci. Our dogs love her, and she seems to really love them, too!”

“Jennifer was very quick to respond and sent me lots of pictures of my pup 😁 which I really appreciated and made me feel better since it was our first time using her. We will be doing it again. 🫶🏼”

“Heather has a great setup for a dog like ours: lots of playmates and a fenced yard to play in. We wanted Chewy to get a fun-filled vacation complete with lots of running and roughhousing with other dogs. We think he got it because he's been sleeping two days straight, LoL.”

“Audree was an amazing sitter. My Kobe is a little older and has anxiety in new places but he felt right at home in Audree’s care. Im always nervous leaving him and she kept me updated. You can tell she cares for her clients. Will definitely book Audree again.”

“Highly recommend! She took amazing care of our dog, kept us updated with messages and pictures. We felt completely at ease knowing our pup was in such great hands. Will definitely book again!”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
