“My dog IMMEDIATELY loved Toni, and she doesn't like most people without several visits to warm up to them. She followed the care instructions perfectly. We can't wait to have her back!”

“Elizabeth is an amazing Rover! She cared for our senior cat and provided compassionate care. She was very responsible and followed all instructions perfectly. She sent us daily photos and updates. We came home to a very happy cat and everything was left neat and orderly. We appreciate you Elizabeth! Thank you so much! 🐈”

“Debora was amazing! She took care of our two dogs while we were away overnight and went above and beyond. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for dependable and caring pet care!”

About: I have two dog of my own, a cat and any farm animals. I’ve handle animals age ranging from 15+ to freshly born. I’ve also taken care of canines with different medical conditions (cancer, diabetes, etc). My eldest pup currently has stage 2 kidney diseases I’m a stay at home mom. I do put my 3/4 of my kiddos on the bus and have to been home to get them off. The youngest is with me. I have 5 areas, my eldest pup is leash only. We go on long walks in the woods all the time. My youngest pup is very well trained, we take him just about everywhere when we have the chance.
“Elizabeth was great! I loved her notes and pictures! She was very communicative and always let me know when she was coming over! I would absolutely book with her again!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Jessica R. over the Thanksgiving weekend! Jessica took excellent care of our three dogs, two cats, and even our daughters’ energetic Goldendoodle. Managing that many pets is no small task, but Jessica handled everything with such calm, capable care. She communicated well with us and with our fur babies. We got regular updates, pet photos, and messages from Jessica that put us completely at ease while we were away. All of the animals were relaxed, happy, and clearly well-loved when we returned home. The house was tidy, food and water stations were clean, and it was obvious that our pets received plenty of attention and affection. We’re so grateful to have found someone we can trust with our furry family, and we will absolutely be booking with Jessica R. again. Highly recommend!”

About: I have extensive experience caring for animals and have been surrounded by pets my entire life. As a current pet owner of two dogs and 1 cat, I understand the importance of providing animals with attentive, loving, and reliable care. Growing up in a family that always had pets, caring for animals has become a natural and meaningful part of my life. In addition to dogs and cats, I am also comfortable caring for fish, hamsters, birds, and other small animals. I truly enjoy spending time with pets and creating a safe, comfortable, and positive environment for them while their owners are away. I would love the opportunity to care for your pets as if they were my own. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or if you would like references from my past pet care experience. I look forward to connecting with you and helping care for your furry (or feathered!) family members. Thank you for your consideration!
“Cori dealt well with my dog’s anxiety about being left with a stranger. Sandi got a walk, water, play time & affection. I will definitely use Cori when we go on vacation & recommend her to anyone who wants personal attention for their dog.”

About: I’ve taken care of many different types of dogs since I was little. I have a lot of patience and hold a great amount of love for dogs. I work part time and am able to be a great deal flexible when it comes to my daily routine. I will be able to accommodate more. I have always taken very good care of my pets. I enjoy spending close time with pets and playing with them often so that they have an enjoyable time.

“Mariah was wonderful with our fur family. She spent time with everyone and sent pictures of happy pups/cats to me daily. I could tell the dogs were happy since they kept bringing her gifts of everything they found on the floor. Even the cats who don't trust most people came out of hiding for her. I will definitely ask Mariah to sit again.”
“Aly was great to work with, very fast responses and made us feel totally comfortable leaving our dog knowing she would be stopping in to care for him. She updated me quickly to let me know how the visit went and how our pup was doing. We were first time users of Rover but based on our great experience with Aly, we will absolutely be using it again!”

Matisa provided regular updates and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was clear my dog was happy, well cared for, and received plenty of attention and affection. I came home to a relaxed, healthy pup, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Matisa again. Highly recommend Matisa to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their pet!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
