“Amanda is so sweet with my dog Callie. It’s only been my first two weeks but I already feel so good about her walks and care. Her pictures of Callie during her walk make me smile when I’m at work. It’s a great pick me up for the day knowing she is in great hands.”

About: I've taken care of dogs for the last 20 years and currently dog sit for my sister's dogs when they are out of town. Daily walks, playing with toys, and cuddles always. I will be out of state Dec 3-6 and Feb 4-7. I am currently on leave from work so I have a lot of time available to help with walks, potty breaks, or just keeping your dog company for a bit if they are lonely. I am very meticulous when I'm someone's home to be respectful, not leave any mess, and try to leave any situation better than when I got there.

About: I have been around animals since I was born. My family always had at least one dog, if not more. I also volunteer at a local animal shelter on the side! I am a full time nurse and work a rotating days and nights schedule so my schedule changes weekly. Other than the 3 days a week I work at the hospital, I am very flexible! Pets have always been treated like another member of the family to me. I try to care for their every need, whether that is walks, bathing, play time, or extra snuggles!

“I have only known Sophia for a few months, but in just the short time I have known her, I've found her to be one of the most confident, warmhearted, and thoughtful people I have ever met. A generous, compassionate friend and human being, Sophia brings joy to all those around her. She knows, not only how to take care of herself and the people that surround her, but especially the animals she comes into contact with at any given time. She has always adored and cherished the many dogs in her life and has ensured their safety and happiness. Indeed, Sophia talks endlessly of her own precious dog and demonstrates the greatest of cares for him. Her consistent attentiveness to friends and animals is extremely heartwarming and with a passionate love for animals like hers, I can think of no better person I would rather have watch my own dog.”
“Makenna was an employee at the Doggie Daycare my dog Malibu went to. Malibu is not comfortable with alot of people but was instantly connected with Makenna. Malibu would be so excited to see her at drop-off. I was too! I knew Malibu had that comfort and I didn't have to worry. Makenna was great with all the dogs and also was so welcoming to everyone dropping off or picking up. There's not a lot of people I trust with Malibu but Makenna is one of them!!”
“Hailey is a very responsible and caring pet owner. She has rescued two dogs and recreated them into such sweet and gentle dogs. I recommend Hailey to take care of pets because I know they’ll be well taken care of and I’m good hands. She has the patience when it’s needed with all types of dogs.”

About: Hello! I’m so glad you stopped by Rover to look for your next dog walker/pet sitter, and I can’t wait to hear all about the lovable pets you share your life with! I was an animal shelter manager & professional dog trainer for four fantastic years, and managed the care of thousands of rescued dogs and cats while they waited to find their forever homes! I went back to school to study Applied Animal Behavior at the University of Washington, and after moving to sunny California, I took the big leap into the world of zoos & aquariums. Since then, I’ve been an aquarium keeper with sharks & stingrays, a zoo educator at the world famous San Diego Zoo & Brookfield Zoo, and worked with native North American wildlife as a zookeeper! I’ve had the privilege of working with just about every kind of furry, feathered, and finned animal, and loved every minute of it. My diverse background has given me a lot of experience in animal care, training & behavior, and veterinary care. I’m very experienced working with special needs animals (both behavior issues and medical needs), and have even had some special pups of my own at home, including a deaf/blind border collie, a cattle dog with separation anxiety, and a snuggly pittie who needs a little extra help getting along with other doggos. I own a 7 month old greyhound puppy named Arthur, and am equipped to meet the special care considerations for sighthounds. I’m also experienced in caring for exotics including fish, reptiles, small mammals, and birds. My goal is to be a resource to busy pet owners who want their dogs to have fun, get spoiled, have an adventure, and receive extra special care— no matter what else you might have on your plate! *Note for special needs pet owners: I'm experienced with administering oral & topical medications, as well as administering subcutaneous injections, caring for pets with food/environmental allergies, mobility issues, pain conditions, and more. I am currently available for drop-in visits, walks, and training/socialization sessions during daytime and evening hours, including last-minute bookings. Apologies, but I am not accepting reservations for boarding or overnight pet-sitting at this time. As a professional with experience in animal shelters and zoos, animal health & safety are my top priority, along with the behavioral & emotional well-being of the animals in my care. I utilize science-based, fear-free training and handling methods.
“Angel was able to help me out at the last minute. She was respectful to my home and took great photos of my pups during her visits. My dogs were very happy to be with her. I will book again with Angel!”
“Jaime has always treated our dogs like her own! Not only does she take great care of her own dogs, but our dogs love her. She is very caring, energetic, and very responsible. We never worry when we leave our dogs with her that they will have a loving and watchful eye on them! Her professional, yet fun, demeanor is what has gained our confidence in her ability to care for our precious pets. She is our top pick when it comes to the care of our dogs!”
“Andrea is amazing with all of our animals. She walks our dogs or let’s them out and plays a little too. She is also good with cats and Guinea pigs as well. In a pinch, she is there to give help with a meal time or potty break when we are running behind schedule.”
