“I was away for the weekend, and Dani was delighted to stop in twice a day to check on my pup. She was wonderful company and took great care of her. She even brought in some unexpected packages that were on the porch! I'll definitely call on her again the next time I'm away.”

“Alexa is so sweet and my pup Lacey loved her. Alexa was on time and took pictures of Lacey playing and let me know Lacey was doing well. I have already booked her for another series of visits and I know she will take good care of my pup.”

I treat every pet as if they were my own—patiently, responsibly, and with lots of love. I pay close attention to behavior, energy levels, and comfort, and I communicate promptly if I notice anything out of the ordinary. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and well-being are always my top prioritie
“She was fantastic! She provided detailed updates about our dog, Nash, which we really appreciated. She was always on time, very kind, and clearly cared a lot. We’d definitely book with her again.”

“I ended up needing someone to watch my puppy on very short notice. Kelly stopped by for a meet and greet the day prior. She sent pics from each visit and was patient with him.”

About: I took a break from pet sitting for awhile due to moving, but I am back and available on weekends! I have loved and cared for dogs since I was a kid. Back in my home state I ran a doggy-day care and began grooming and shadowing at dog shows. I have mainly had Australian Shepherds, but have also had German Shepherds, Pitbulls, Poodles, Beagles, and Labs. I love dogs, honestly, more than people most days. In the past I have trained dogs and competed in dog agility trials. I currently have three dogs, an Australian Shepherd, who is my heart and soul, a German Shepherd Husky who is the sweetest girl, and a Rough Collie who lives up to his name, Taz. I can handle any size dog, any temperament, and ensure they get the care and attention they deserve. Dogs are such amazing animals that can help us overcome even our worst days, I want to make sure your dog is taken care of while you're away so you have less to worry about at the end of the day. I work full time, so I am only available on weekends at this time. My weekends are flexible to accommodate travel schedules, drop-in visits, and walks. I follow your instructions on how you want your dog taken care of. Thats your baby, and I am here to love them as you do.
“This is the first time we've used a dedicated pet sitter and I am very glad we did. Linden is very approachable and friendly; during the meet-and-greet, I could tell that our three cats were in good hands. Our trip was that much more enjoyable knowing that Linden was doing the things we normally do, from litter box management to giving medication to providing the human touch!”
“Melody has done a great job of taking care of Victoria. We are pleased to have her. I feel very fortunate to have Melody and Matthew taking care of our Victoria”
“Took care of my babies just like I asked. Received plenty of photos. One of my dogs is more difficult due to her medication schedule and her personality but Rachel did an amazing job with her. Will book again in the future.”

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for animals is something I truly enjoy. I've spent years working with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I currently have a dog of my own, Wesson, and I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your pet. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, active playtime, or relaxing at home, I'll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while you're away. I'm comfortable caring for all breeds and temperaments, from energetic working dogs to laid-back couch companions. I also have experience with dogs that use training tools such as e-collars and prong collars and can follow your dog's established training routine and preferences. When your dog is in my care, their safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I'll treat them like one of my own and provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive care throughout the day. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I enjoy incorporating walks, playtime, potty breaks, feeding schedules, and one-on-one attention into our day. Because I'm home most of the time, pets are rarely left alone for extended periods, and I can easily accommodate their individual needs and routines. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owners are away. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, comfortable, and structured environment. I have a securely fenced yard for supervised outdoor play and exercise, as well as a multi-level home that allows me to separate pets when needed. If a dog is crate-trained or requires their own space, I can accommodate that and ensure they have a quiet area to relax. I follow each pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications, and any training routines provided by the owner. My goal is to make pets feel at home while providing plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. When caring for pets in a client's home, I respect their established routine and environment. I make sure pets receive consistent care, companionship, exercise, fresh water, meals, and any special accommodations they need. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are happy and well cared for while they're away.

“Kelsie did an excellent job while I was out of town for a week. My kitties experienced a bit more separation anxiety than usual, and ended up making a huge mess of the front room. Kelsie informed me of it immediately and was super understanding of it. Since I wasn’t around my phone during that visit and couldn’t tell her where the cleaning sprays were, she waited till I was able to tell her where the items were. Then came back the next day to further clean up the floors! One of my kitties is very weary of new people and she did great with making sure not to stress her out too much.”

“Awesome sitter. Was very patient and considerate of our baby girl and took well care of her. Also was very helpful and flexible in a last minute change to schedule. Definitely will be picking Madison again on any future trips to watch our pets”

“Shae is great! She takes care of my large Cane Corso, Misty, when I am out of town on business. She drops by to feed, play with, and walk Misty. Misty, who can be a handful, really likes Shae, and listens to her well. I highly recommend Shae for your dog care needs, particularly if you have a large breed.”

Lex was so kind and considerate with Mickey. Mickey very clearly liked her a LOT and he was not nearly as clingy as usual when I got home which indicated to me that she must have spent quality time with him. She brought in all the mail, refilled the water fountains, opened and closed blinds, cleaned the litter box as well. Lex is a Saint!

Christian did a great job with our cat drop-in visit. He was on time, made sure their water was topped off, spent time playing with them, and sent plenty of pictures and updates while we were away. It was obvious he genuinely cared about making sure they were comfortable and cared for. We’d definitely book with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable sitter.

Jade was the best sitter we’ve ever seen! She not only took care of our dog, she went above and beyond by grabbing our mail and packages but also bringing in our trash cans. She’s truly a blessing and kept our minds at ease. Thank you again Jade and I look forward to using your services in the future. You’re the best!!!!

This was Bailey's second booking with Lauren, and once again she was wonderful! Bailey absolutely loves her visits and gets so excited to see her. It gives me such peace of mind knowing Bailey is happy and well cared for. Inreally appreciate Lauren’s reliability and the care she shows. She’s quickly becoming one of Bailey’s favorites! Highly recommend.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
