I provide a calm, steady presence for your dog while you’re away. If requested, your dog will be leash-walked, or allowed supervised playtime in your yard. I always keep dogs separate from each other during feedings and I triple-check before opening doors to prevent an accidental escape.

A typical day
I am happy to play fetch or whatever game your pup might enjoy. We can take walks, do food puzzles, hide and seek with toys or just sit calmly and watch tv. If my attention makes a dog nervous, I am happy to look busy on my phone or read a book to help them get used to me without me focusing on them. Sometimes I even read aloud to them to help settle their nerves. It’s not easy for some dogs when mom and dad go away so I will do everything possible to help them feel more comfortable.

Pet care experience
I have many years of volunteer experience with a local animal rescue to include fostering of dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. This unique experience has provided me with a skill set that includes understanding subtle cues, and noticing changes in behavior when a pet doesn’t feel well as well as being able to provide superior enrichment activities and basic care.
