“This was our first time leaving our little Golden doodle with Samantha. I will say, I was a bit intimidated by leaving him with a pit bull there, but upon meeting the pit bull he was the sweetest big dog ever. My worries immediately vanished! There were a couple other dogs there, so that was nice. There was one dog a bit too interested in my little guy, so I didn’t want to leave until he calmed down. Samantha never made me feel rushed to leave or weird. She was super patient and asking me if I wanted the dogs split up, or inside or outside. I really thought that said a lot about the person I was leaving our baby with and I really liked that. I say all that to say, you can’t always control how dogs will interact with each other, but you can control how you react to them and Samantha was very calm, kind and friendly. She never looked overwhelmed or nervous. She was a bit embarrassed I think because of the initial behavior of this other dog she was caring for, but I understood that wasn’t a reflection of her care. We left out little guy there 3 days and she communicated through the day with updates, sent photos and even went the extra step of boiling and egg to mix it with my dogs food since we do that for him at home too. I’m thankful we found someone to watch our guy for when we need it! Highly recommend! 10 out of 10!”

We had never left our dog with someone she doesn’t know nor away from her home as she has bad separation anxiety but we were left in a predicament after plans fell through for our vacation and after reading Lisa’s reviews and how many positive ones she had and how many repeat clients I figured we may give it a shot. She was so welcoming at the beginning and willing to do a meet and greet and her family immediately felt like family friends we had known for awhile- she then allowed us to do a day booking for our dog with her so our dog could understand the process and get comfortable with her already and just that day Lisa was already sending updates and pictures. After that visit we felt confident in leaving our dog with her! Throughout our vacation she sent updates and pictures and helped us feel at ease. Her place was not only wonderful for our dog, but us as well so we didn’t spend our vacation worried about how she was - we were confident Lisa was providing her with a safe and loving environment. All I have to say is Lisa needs to up her prices!! She is giving away great care for a steal!! We could have easily boarded our dog however we knew that wasn’t a great environment for her with all the overstimulation with all the other dogs, the constant barking, being caged often, and just not a warm environment and that would have probably cost us DOUBLE. But Lisa provides it ALL - ability to handle various temperaments with confidence (as I was unsure how my dog would do around certain personalities) and ability to ease my dogs anxiety and create a home away from home. We are so sad we just found Lisa as we are moving away in the next several months but for those that have the opportunity to book with her do it, you won’t regret it!!”

Kirby is the only dog at our house and we could tell that he really enjoyed playing with Shannon’s dogs. “Kelsie did an excellent job while I was out of town for a week. My kitties experienced a bit more separation anxiety than usual, and ended up making a huge mess of the front room. Kelsie informed me of it immediately and was super understanding of it. Since I wasn’t around my phone during that visit and couldn’t tell her where the cleaning sprays were, she waited till I was able to tell her where the items were. Then came back the next day to further clean up the floors! One of my kitties is very weary of new people and she did great with making sure not to stress her out too much.”

About: I grew up with cats as a child and have rescued 3 within the last 5 years. One has unfortunately passed due to a heart condition. My other two came with some challenges that I worked with them on and they are now thriving. My one cat, we adopted as a kitten and was looked over by many people because she can be feisty. She’s since become the sweetest girl. My other cat i rescued as an adult at roughly 3 years old and he was extremely scared of people and noises. Since being in our home, he is cuddly, social, and so sweet.

About: I’ve taken care of my dog and my aunt’s dog since I was nine. I’m twenty now and both of my fur babies are still kicking, barking, and happy. I’ve always loved animals, even helping to rescue some when I was little such as these two baby ducks and other little birdies and frogs too. In school, my teacher had a pet chameleon and turtle and I always was excited to help feed them. I actually started majoring in Biology at first in college to be a veterinarian or zoologist. I have a different path now to help children but I still have a passion for pets and other beautiful creatures of this Earth. I will take care of your fur babies just like I did mine and love them just as much. I am a college student as mentioned before so my current schedule is MWF and Tues and Thurs to be free after 11:15 am. However, I do live on campus in Norfolk at ODU so I can take business there as well but mainly for dog walking and pet sitting at your residence. I do rely on my mother, brother or friends for transportation but they are willing to help snd be available as needed. Please give me a chance and you won’t regret it. :) I make sure the pets first get to know me, smell me, and recognize me to be comfortable with me. Then, I interact with them more by playing with them and giving them rubs and cuddles so they can feel more connected and comfortable. Then, definitely make sure they eat and drink the right food for their health and nourishment. Then, walk them so they can do their business and get exercise and always make sure they have a leash on. Next, make sure they are groomed and cleaned well and freshen up from the outdoors. Then spend more time with them until our fun is over and they are returned with their beloved owners. I will have a whole day well planned and you and your fur babies will appreciate it. :)
About: I am home full time currently. I just moved from Hawaii since my husband is in the Navy we just got stationed here! I will watch big or small! They will get play time & potty breaks. We also have a friendly dog park right out back of the house as well in which we take the dogs to frequently and know most of the dogs that go to the park as well. We have 3 stories so the dogs will get plenty of exercise going up and down the stairs as well.

About: Ive always been an animal lover from such a early age. I got my first dog when I was 10 years old and it was the most memorable day. I am constantly on the internet looking for different ways to keep dogs healthy and live a long wonderful life. I currently work part-time, which means my schedule is quite flexible. I can easily adjust my work hours to accommodate your fur baby’s needs. I’ll ensure that your furry friend is well-cared for throughout the day, including feeding, walking, playing, cuddling, and making sure they’re happy while you’re away. I will follow the instructions that are given to me very carefully because every dog is different. I do recommend having us meeting before you leave so I can bond with your fur baby with you there so they are comfortable with me. If you have a certain route you like to take your fur baby for walks or if you have a dog park where your dog can play with other dogs (if they are social) let me know! Otherwise I will walk your fur baby for a minimum of one hour and maybe even take them with me for small store runs in the area (with your permission ofc!).

About: I’ve worked in the a vet hospital for 3 years , then moved to working in boarding and taking care of all sizes of dogs! I’m animal cpr certified. I don’t go to work until around 9 so I will come take care of your fur babies early in the morning then come back around 1pm to let them out for a mid day potty break. Then when I get off work I will come back over and take care of your fur baby and tuck them in for the night after they play and get their energy out. I have a 1 year old black and she used a leash and harness when we are outside unless we are playing with her toys. I’m very attentive to the surroundings before I let my fur baby off the leash.

About: I grew up with pets my whole life so I would say I’m pretty experienced, I’ve love animals and now that I have way more time I can dedicate it to helping out people and pets. Everyone deserves to go on vacation or see family far away or do something out of the area and not have to worry about their fur baby accommodations so I got you I work Monday through Friday starting at 0730 and I leave usually before noon. Most of the time I leave around 1030 but it’s not a set and stone. So including drive time I would say my whole day is about 5-6 hrs I would be gone I have a small house with a small fenced in yard. I do own and not rent so no one else’s rules but mine. I don’t have really restrictions for the dog or cat in my house, they can lay on the couch or bed. If they stay overnight at my house, they can sleep with me if they prefer it or wherever they want. Although if the dog isn’t potty trained yet or is destructive I may want to have it in a crate. I am all for a case by case situations and accommodation each client to work out something. I do want to mention as a side note that I do not currently own pets but I do foster cats, so I may have to ask if you’re pets are current on vaccinations to keep them at my house
About: I took a break from pet sitting for awhile due to moving, but I am back and available on weekends! I have loved and cared for dogs since I was a kid. Back in my home state I ran a doggy-day care and began grooming and shadowing at dog shows. I had them for 17 years until they left for doggy heaven October 2024 and February 2025… I am not ready to fully commit again quite yet so decided babysitting and loving on others’ furbabies will help the healing. No worries at all as the dogs will always be coming first in this household. I have a small fenced in yard for the dogs to go out. We also have a friendly dog park right out back of the house as well in which we take the dogs to frequently and know most of the dogs that go to the park as well. We have 3 stories so the dogs will get plenty of exercise going up and down the stairs as well.

“This was our first time leaving our little Golden doodle with Samantha. I will say, I was a bit intimidated by leaving him with a pit bull there, but upon meeting the pit bull he was the sweetest big dog ever. My worries immediately vanished! There were a couple other dogs there, so that was nice. There was one dog a bit too interested in my little guy, so I didn’t want to leave until he calmed down. Samantha never made me feel rushed to leave or weird. She was super patient and asking me if I wanted the dogs split up, or inside or outside. I really thought that said a lot about the person I was leaving our baby with and I really liked that. I say all that to say, you can’t always control how dogs will interact with each other, but you can control how you react to them and Samantha was very calm, kind and friendly. She never looked overwhelmed or nervous. She was a bit embarrassed I think because of the initial behavior of this other dog she was caring for, but I understood that wasn’t a reflection of her care. We left out little guy there 3 days and she communicated through the day with updates, sent photos and even went the extra step of boiling and egg to mix it with my dogs food since we do that for him at home too. I’m thankful we found someone to watch our guy for when we need it! Highly recommend! 10 out of 10!”

We had never left our dog with someone she doesn’t know nor away from her home as she has bad separation anxiety but we were left in a predicament after plans fell through for our vacation and after reading Lisa’s reviews and how many positive ones she had and how many repeat clients I figured we may give it a shot. She was so welcoming at the beginning and willing to do a meet and greet and her family immediately felt like family friends we had known for awhile- she then allowed us to do a day booking for our dog with her so our dog could understand the process and get comfortable with her already and just that day Lisa was already sending updates and pictures. After that visit we felt confident in leaving our dog with her! Throughout our vacation she sent updates and pictures and helped us feel at ease. Her place was not only wonderful for our dog, but us as well so we didn’t spend our vacation worried about how she was - we were confident Lisa was providing her with a safe and loving environment. All I have to say is Lisa needs to up her prices!! She is giving away great care for a steal!! We could have easily boarded our dog however we knew that wasn’t a great environment for her with all the overstimulation with all the other dogs, the constant barking, being caged often, and just not a warm environment and that would have probably cost us DOUBLE. But Lisa provides it ALL - ability to handle various temperaments with confidence (as I was unsure how my dog would do around certain personalities) and ability to ease my dogs anxiety and create a home away from home. We are so sad we just found Lisa as we are moving away in the next several months but for those that have the opportunity to book with her do it, you won’t regret it!!”
