“This was our first time leaving our 1-year-old dog with someone outside of the family since we got him. Katelynn was awesome with Zeus and was great with him from the very start! He typically is very scared of new people and refuses to leave our side but she made him feel comfortable and safe from the start! She kept us up to date throughout the day which made us feel safe. We will definitely have Zeus stay with her next time, she was wonderful and I would highly recommend her!”

About: I've always had dogs and cats, and for a short time, pet rats (they're actually really lovely!) I come from a long line of animal lovers. My great grandparents had a 'farm' when they retired and this was truly a haven for unwanted animals. Many animals they cared for were abandoned hunting dogs. When visiting as a kid, the lovely mutts became my best pals, and some of my fondest memories are piling in the back of a pickup truck with the dogs, exploring the woods and creek beds, and watching thunderstorms with them. I now have a one year old lab mix and 3 cats in my home. Many photos are of my late dog, Quinn, who made it impossible to live without a dog in the home. I have a flexible job that allows me to work from home, so I am flexible with pick-up and drop-off times unless otherwise communicated. I am in RVA most weekends as well. I have a fenced backyard and a dog and 2 cats. The cats have been around other dogs, and Eddy the dog loves other dogs- he has lots of energy to share!

“Chelsea was AMAZING with my anxious pup! She was also very gracious with my unplanned schedule change and accommodated us accordingly. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again.”

“Toffee could not have been happier to return to Amanda's for some last minute day care.”

“Caroline is very friendly and responsive. She immediately clicked with my mini poodle after their first meeting. She sends great pictures and video updates so you know how your baby is doing throughout the day. I would definitely recommend her for daycare.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I work remote so I can always be available for your little buddy! I work remote, so I can cater to any of your animals needs. I get up around 7 AM and head to get around 11:30. I always take frequent breaks throughout the day to stretch my legs and get some sun. Whatever you need, I’ll make sure your pet is well loved and appreciated! My apartment is always very clean and very spacious. I also live right next to a park and go for walks by myself regularly. Whenever I watch my friends animals, I bring my own food and activities and leave the place better than I found it.

About: I can honestly say that since the day I was born, I have not been without a pet. Growing up around animals was not only a privilege but became something I cherished. Since I was young, I helped care for a wide variety of family pets as well as those of neighbors' and friends' from time to time. My love for animals and my passion for their well-being eventually found me in the world of veterinary medicine in 2009. I became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2012, graduating at the top of my class. Because of my experience and education, I have much knowledge and many special skills when it comes to taking care of your loved ones. I am able to take care of youngsters to seniors, pets with special needs and medical conditions as well as those needing medications/treatments. I am also able to perform some grooming tasks such as bathing, expressing anal glands, cleaning ears and giving toe nail trims. I have experience with a wide variety of pets- from dogs and cats to back yard chickens and pocket pets and even farm animals. I know when I have to leave my pets for any stretch of time, it is of the utmost importance for me to have someone I have faith in and trust to spend time with and take care of them in my absence; I would love to be that person for you and your sweet pets. Our pets do so much for us, I can only hope to return the favor. My day revolves around pet care! I have a dog and two cats of my own, so my day starts and ends with them=) My work is such that I am able to easily adjust my schedule based on your pet's needs. I have a boisterous 10 year old hound mix who loves to have friends over =) I also have two cats who tend to make themselves scarce when other pups come to play! I do not have a fenced in yard, but am able to get the pups out frequently for nice long walks (or jogs if your pup likes to run!) I try to stick to your pet's schedule- walks, feeding, medication, etc, as closely as possible so as to reduce any potential anxiety from being separated from their people. Feel free to bring your pet's own blankets/beds/bowls, etc - otherwise, we have all that stuff here too! Your pet will become a part of the family from their stay onward!

About: I have owned dogs almost my whole life. Growing up many neighbors and friends trusted me to dogsit for them without issue. I am very accommodating and try to be understanding of the dogs emotions. I’m currently unemployed, so I can devote all of my time to your pet. I am able to bring my dog almost everywhere with me and yours could too. We have a spacious apartment with a nice balcony with turf in case of emergencies (my dog never needs it but it’s been helpful with other dogs). I try not to let the dogs get bored by playing with them and bringing them with me wherever I go.

About: Puppy sitting for my perfect nephew (Rocky) for the last five years in San Diego inspired me to help others in Richmond now that I call it my home. In college I fostered kittens that were too young to be adopted to help build socialization skills with people. I grew up always having both a dog and cat in the home and can’t wait to rescue someone of my own here soon 😊. I live and work in the Willow Lawn area and love to get out for many walks. I live an active life and love the outdoors. I am happily available for boarding, daycare or walks but currently prefer weekends over weekdays as I work from an office down the road from home. Advance notice to schedule boarding is greatly appreciated to plan ahead with my schedule. It is just me at home with a fenced in spacious backyard and quiet street full of neighborhood fur friends to meet along our walks!

“Jayden isn’t just my best friend—he’s also an amazing colleague and a fellow animal lover through and through! Ever since I met him, I’ve seen firsthand the love and care he pours into his sweet cat, Reggie. Their bond is seriously heartwarming, and Jayden is the ultimate cat dad. If you’re looking for a pet caregiver who’s passionate, loving, and totally devoted, Jayden is your guy!”

Caitlin E.
“I originally met Caitlin through a mutual job at a veterinary clinic. She became a licensed veterinary technician in the time we worked together, and was one of the most competent and caring vet techs I have ever had the privilege of knowing and working with. Knowing that you have someone who has the kind of knowledge and experience that Caitlin has caring for your pets gives you comfort and peace of mind knowing they are well looked after. My pug simply loves her to death and is so excited every time she sees her. She runs around like a wild thing and cries when she leaves. I’m not even kidding. Caitlin loves animals and they love her. She has a special way with them. It’s what makes her such a great vet tech, and what makes her so wonderful at caring for our pets. They’re like our children, and I want to know someone is treating my little squish-faced minion like she would her own.”

Maddox D.
“Max is exceptionally good with pets. I have watched him interact with dogs for at least 15 years. Animals love him because of his calm disposition.”
