About: I love dogs and have had dogs all my life, from puppies to seniors, I have seen and cared for it all! My dog, Boogie, and I can’t wait to play with your lil guys and gals! Boogie will keep your dog playing and having fun. He does best with other medium to high energy dogs and puppies! But he knows how to chill with older and low energy dogs too. We have a fenced yard with plenty of space to run around and a quiet neighborhood to walk in. Plenty of space in the house to have some down time cuddling too! My partner and I take care of our dog, Boogie, daily. Playing in the yard, going on walks and hikes, and a few visits to the dog park a week is our usual! We have a lovely yard and one or both of us are home all day during the week. I prefer crate trained dogs, but wouldn’t pass on dogs who aren’t, we can make it work!

“Did fantastic with her and her family! Super amazing”

“Very accommodating and good communication!”

“Toffee could not have been happier to return to Amanda's for some last minute day care.”

“This was our first time leaving our 1-year-old dog with someone outside of the family since we got him. Katelynn was awesome with Zeus and was great with him from the very start! He typically is very scared of new people and refuses to leave our side but she made him feel comfortable and safe from the start! She kept us up to date throughout the day which made us feel safe. We will definitely have Zeus stay with her next time, she was wonderful and I would highly recommend her!”

About: Hi there! My name's Tyler, and it's a pleasure to (virtually) meet you. I'm 40, moved to Richmond from Miami to be closer to family in 2023, and work from home as a consultant. I grew up with dogs. My whole family also has dogs, so I like to think we can't help but love them. I'm naturally a nurturer and a caregiver. My mom was a teacher, and we often had the class guinea pig/gerbil/goldfish/snake/cat at the house as well. I'm comfortable with all animals. I volunteered at shelters while I was in school in North Carolina, and currently pet-sit for my busy and oft-traveling friends: the most recent rotation includes terriers, golden retrievers, labs, rottweilers, and pitbulls, but I've never met a dog I don't like or that doesn't warm up to me, no matter how shy. I have a 8 year old golden retriever border collie mix named Bowie who is in the process of becoming a certified Pet Partner/Delta Dog (he likes to volunteer, too!). He is super social and loves all creatures, furry and non-furry. He can be here if you board with me or stay with my boyfriend - whichever you prefer. I grew up a Navy brat and manage both people and businesses for a living- I am a firm believer in treating people, animals, and their homes with respect and dignity. Your house, your rules. I'm also totally open to plant-sitting, bringing in mail, puppy play-dates, the odd chore, etc. I also offer the option of ‘boarding in your home’ without staying there: lots of my regular clients like their pets to stay in their comfort zone at home, and I visit 4x a day for 30 minutes or more; this is usually morning, midday, afternoon/evening, and night, with walks/food/meds/cuddles/etc. Let me know if you’d prefer this service to boarding in my home or yours - I’m amenable to whatever you think is best for your pet. Thanks for taking the time to read about me- I hope to meet you and yours in the near future! - Tyler - grew up with dogs - rescued and fostered and helped place multiple dogs - volunteered at animal shelter in Chapel Hill, NC for years - had a 15 year old golden retriever named Tucker, who was a certified Delta Dog (can volunteer in hospitals, nursing homes, great with children, the elderly, and other pets) - Has a 6 year old rescue Border Collie mix named Bowie, who lives with me full time - Spends a lot of time with my ‘Nephew Dogs,’ Murphy & Carlyle, a 2yr old Sheepadoodle and a 7 year old Westie, respectively - loves loves loves animals In my home, they’re family: frequent walks; a dog park (legion park), if you’re so inclined; they’re welcome on furniture; I have multiple dog beds, toys, a crate, a balcony where they can watch birds, etc. In your home, however you specify. I respect and adhere to your rules for your pet family and for your home. It dictates my daily routine! I have a flexible schedule and pets come first - happy to work on your dog or cat’s normal schedule to keep things as aligned with normal as possible while you’re away. Pets in my home are welcome everywhere and have free access to water, toys, furniture, pet beds, blankets, etc. We go for lots of walks and I send lots of pictures!

“I’m so thankful to Amy for being so graciously flexible! My job can have unpredictable hours, but I always know my puppy is safe and happy with Amy!”

About: Hello! Just a quick note—I go by my middle name, “Wylie,” though my profile only allows me to display my first name. For years, I’ve had the joy and pleasure of caring for the pets of family and friends, and it’s become a true passion of mine. I’m the kind of person who can’t resist saying hello to every dog or cat I meet—whether on the street or in someone’s home. When your pet stays with me, they’re treated like part of the family. As someone who considers my own pets to be my “kids,” I take great care to ensure your furry friend feels safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I believe every pet has their own unique personality and needs, and I take the time to understand what makes them happiest. My goal is to provide a home away from home where they can relax and thrive. Looking forward to meeting you and your pet! I work from home alongside my wonderful pets: Daisy, my 3-year-old yellow lab, and my three cats—George Bailey, Gus, and Little Boo (a once-feral cat who took me a year to coax indoors). Our home is a calm and relaxed environment where the pets are free to roam both inside and outside as they please. While I may step out occasionally to run errands, I’m typically at home throughout the day, ensuring your pet will have plenty of company and care. I have a fully fenced yard, so your pets can safely explore both inside and outside the house. My home is their home, and they’re welcome to relax on the furniture (unless you’d rather they don’t pick up that habit). We’re a laid-back, pet-loving household where the animals pretty much run the show! I’m happy to host more than one dog at a time, but I’ll make sure they get to meet my own dog and cats first to ensure everyone gets along and feels comfortable. It’s all about keeping things happy and stress-free for everyone! 🐾

“I could tell Goose had such a good time at Celia’s by how happy she was when I picked her up! also sometimes Goose won’t eat at daycare if she’s too anxious, but with Celia this wasn’t a problem at all! I could tell she was so well taken care of and she got along well with both Celia and her pup. I’m really happy with how frequently Celia was able to take her out on walks and how attentive she was. On top of that, Celia was super communicative and sent plenty of pictures and updates throughout the day. Would definitely recommend to others and would definitely come back for daycare again!!”

“Ashley was wonderful in providing such great care of Cody. He got to go on several walks during the day, and we also received photo updates throughout his stay. Thank you for taking great care of Cody, Ashley!”
