I have been working from home exclusively part time the last several years as a consultant to a family business so I'll have plenty of time to play & spend time with all the pups that being said I do leave the house for an hour or two pending outside commitments so please don’t expect me to be home 24/7 (my husband also works FT from home so there is a good chance mostly someone is here)

Pet care experience
I live in the heart of Richmond (the museum district) and have access to a safe neighborhood for walks. I have rescued two dogs Izzy & Sadie (we lost Izzy from congestive heart failure in 2022 & Sadie from renal failure in 2023 ) & they were my life & joy. Izzy had a broken leg that was infected when rescued, I took care of her, sometimes taking many trips to the vet during the week for medicine & together my vet & I healed her back to health. Sadie was a rescue dog who I fostered first for roughly a year in DC (when moving to Richmond I decided to adopt her because she had separation anxiety who had already attached herself with me). Because I had senior dogs living out their glory days I specialize in caring for dogs in their later years. Izzy & Sadie acted like pups sometimes but for the most part they liked to sleep between walks/dog park. My two dogs were my children & would take care of any dog like they were my own. My availability is rather flexible but would love at least 24 hours notice for any adjustments needed to agreed times & always require a meet & greet before booking so you feel comfortable where your pup will be staying as I try to be flexible, however last min plans generally are not comfortable for me as I do plan my week out & walk & care for dogs outside of my home so I try to be fair to all my clients so I ask for consideration if your plans change. I look forward to working with you & your dog(s). [Unfortunately at this time I can’t care for puppies in my house or dogs not house trained or use potty pads unless It's an established senior client, & NO un-neutered male dogs]
Reviews

Had an amazing experience with Amanda. Would 100% book again! My pup was in great hands

Amanda was great with our little old pup. She stayed on top of his meds even when he was stubborn, and sent regular updates. He seemed right at home and I was glad he had a friendly lap to cuddle in while we were away!

Amanda was able to take Annie on short notice. She was great at communicating and sending pictures. Annie had a great stay!
Amanda is a wonderful dog sitter.
