I was a little nervous to drop my pup off for daycare less than a week after rescuing her, as she is quite wary of strangers. She jumped right into Howard’s arms and apparently spent the rest of the day happy as can be cuddled on his lap. She came home happy, tired, and ready for dinner & bed! Howard also does a wonderful job of sending updates and photos throughout the day. The first day she went to Howard’s, my pup hadn’t pooped in 2 days and it was something I was worried about. He sent me a text as soon as she went so that I would have peace of mind. She has since been back to Howard’s a few times a week and I can not recommend him more!”

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of animals my entire life. When I was younger I tried to save all animals big and small. I have a big heart for all kinds of pets and treat every animal with kindness and care as if they were part of my own family. I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of days that I’m free during the day to do pet walks, visits/ feeding, doggy daycare or overnight stays. I have a big yard that I can take your furry friend out leashed for long walks. My home is warm and inviting, your furry friend can romp around be crated if requested.

About: I have had dogs since I was 6 years old! Currently, I have an 8 year old Corgi mix who would love some doggie company! I have a large, unfenced yard where your dog can run and play. I will of course be supervising at all times. Neighborhood walks and relaxing on the couch included. I'm a retired school counselor, so I have plenty of time to watch your dog babies. While others are at work, I'm home dog sitting. Working with dogs is my dream job!! I have a large, unfenced yard where I will constantly supervise your dog. There's plenty of room to roam around my 4 bedroom home, unless you prefer your dog to be crated. I live in a beautiful neighborhood where I take my own dog for walks daily.

About: My dog Burk passed away from cancer about two years ago. I took him in as an older dog, around eight, and had a few wonderful years with him. I am not yet ready to form that connection with a dog of my own again. However, I have had dogs my whole life, and the house feels empty without one here. I have been regularly trusted with family dogs since a young age. I am also experienced with older dogs and the extra care they may require, having had my own experience with Burk. Do have experience with crate-trained pets, but also don't mind having ones without this experience. I also have experience with pits and other bully breeds, and they are definitely welcome! Your little family member will receive plenty of pets and attention and will be well cared for throughout their stay! I am currently working part-time as a hockey coach. The most I would be gone from the house is four, maybe five hours at a time. These more extended periods typically occur on Monday and Tuesday evenings, and occasionally on a weekend day. This would be the maximum amount of alone time. I live alone, but a partner may be able to help break up this time. I have a fenced-in yard, but it's currently under repair. Leashed walks would be necessary for the moment. There is both a front and a back yard, both with plenty of space to roam and get some fresh air. I live in a fairly roomy house with more than enough space for most pets. Dogs are more than welcome on couches and beds, but will respect owners' wishes of not allowing them on.
