“Jenna is the best of the best! She treats the animals in her care like they are her own. I have one very outgoing and energetic pup and Jenna makes sure she gets all of her wiggles out while she is there. My older female is scared of everything, and Jenna takes the time to make sure she is comfortable during the visit. We are so lucky to have Jenna be part of our pack!”

“Alexis took great care of our dogs while we were away for the holidays! They seemed to really enjoy her care and company, and she went the extra mile making sure they had everything they needed. She was also very communicative and kept us informed at all times. 10/10, would book again.”

“Sure! Here’s a concise summary: Annie was fantastic! It was our second time using her, and we felt completely confident leaving our dogs overnight at home. She provided excellent care, including giving them their medication. Highly recommend!”

“Evelyn was great for our two kitties. She was very kind and trustworthy. We even had to through some last minute details to our request and she did everything we needed without issue.”

I have two years of experience doing in-home visits for dogs, cats, and other animals in my local community. In the last year I have also gained experience dog walking. I have the knowledge and familiarity to take care of animals of all ages and sizes. I currently work part-time so I'll have plenty of time to swing by and take care of your furry friend! I offer in home visits, short overnight stays, and dog walking. Through in home visits, I will provide the loving and caring company your pet needs while you're away. I can ensure reliable, safe, and fun experiences tailored to your dog's needs.
About: I absolutely love animals. I've had dogs and cats since I was 6. Since then I've help train a service dog and fostered many other dogs. I currently have three dogs: chihuahua mix, pug rat terrier mix, and a great Pyrenees. I currently am a personal trainer so I don’t have a set schedule. I will be able to let the pet outside or spend time with them in between clients. I can take the pets on daily walks, depending on their schedule and when they like to. I like to know where the food is and if they get treats for doing specific things.
“Ashleigh was great! Our babies were very well taken care of, she sent pictures each visit, had great communication and we felt completely comfortable with her watching our pups”

About: I have always grown up with animals and my love for them led me to a job at a pet resort. I was a kennel technician for 4 years which provided me great insight to care for all types of furry friends. I just graduated college from UNC Charlotte and home in Emerald Isle for the summer. Most days I workout and hang with my family so my schedule is pretty flexible. I always try to keep each pet’s routine as close as possible to what they’re used to because I know how stressful change can feel—especially for anxious pets. I’m patient, gentle, and attentive, and I make it my priority to provide comfort, consistency, and lots of love while they’re away from their parents.
About: I’ve had many types of animals (farm, big, small, etc) my whole life as well as the ambition to be a veterinarian. I have basic husbandry and veterinary skills and knowledge. I am currently a senior in highschool and end class at 2:10. I am free weekends and open to caring for new types of pets! My animals are vetted and chipped, the cats are indoor outdoor an i have an 18 year old dachshund who is blind and deaf due to age, as well as a 3 year old deaf Australian shepherd who is trained using a Bluetooth buzz collar.
About: I have taken care of all types of animals my entire life. I’ve had many dogs and cats at the same time. I love animals with a passion. I am empathetic to their needs. I understand where certain behaviors develop and how to not only prevent them, but to remove them completely. I have experience in dog training (household, leash, media/film, etc.). I have trained puppies all the way to senior dogs. Being with animals is not a hobby for me; it is a lifestyle. I work part time and have plenty of time, particularly before 4pm to play with your pups or kitties! I will assess inquiries on a case by case basis dependent on my availability. I will follow whatever systems you have in place for your furry friend. I can go on walks, play in the backyard, crate if necessary, feed and give medications, etc. I also can make and deliver my premium dog and cat food that I make with 100% whole and mainly organic ingredients for an additional charge.
About: Hi I’m Jastin! I’m 20 years old and I’ve been around and taken care of animals all my life. I have a heart for pets of all kinds, particularly dogs! I worked as a kennel attendant in Waxhaw, NC for almost two years. I have two pets of my own, a dog - Willow, and a cat - Maple. They are very dear to me and I would love to meet your pets and treat them as well as my own! I recently moved to Hubert, NC and work as a Vet Assistant in Jacksonville, NC. I work Monday- Friday, 8-5 so unfortunately I only have weekend (Friday evening - Sunday evening) availability as of now. I find it easier for me as well as your pet to care for them in the comfort of their own home. Your pets happiness and safety is always my top priority!
About: I have cared for dogs and cats over the last 25 years. I have my own dog and cat but have also cared for friends dogs and cats. I currently cannot have them in my home but it is easy for me to let them out, walk them, feed them, brush them and give them love. I have given medication to both dogs and cats and have cared for seniors as well. I am available evenings and weekends. I work Monday through Friday, with a volunteer job Sunday mornings. I am able to care after 4:30pm during the week and pretty much all day on Saturday. If I am letting your pet outside at your house I will be with them and watch them the whole time. I am unable to have them in my home at this time. I will spend time playing fetch or whatever I can to make your dog/cat happy.
“Leigh was the best pup sitter! She was reliable, punctual, caring, flexible and always communicated. I was nervous being away from them, and she always made me feel better when she had her visit with my babies. She even let me know that she thought something was a little off with my Chihuahua. This way I knew to pay a little extra attention to make sure he was OK when I got home.”

About: I've had animals in my home since I was 6, specifically dogs. I've had 2 dogs growing up, a lizard and recently a cat. Any time any of my relatives leave home, I am always the first person they ask to come take care of their animals. I am unemployed at the moment due to recently moving to the Hubert area, so I have plenty of time for your beloved pets. I can play, walk and just spend quality time with them to make sure they get the love and attention they need. The first thing I like to do when I make my check in visits is to get to know them, especially if they are first time visits for me. I'll feed them and take them out to the bathroom and then spend some quality time with them so I can get to know them. Then I like to end my visits with a nice walk to get some of their energy out and get them some fresh air.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
