“This was the first time we’ve had the pleasure of having Sarah take care of Wally and Meeko. It definitely won’t be the last. Wally, my shy guy, warmed up to her so fast! And Meeko was showing off. Sarah was wonderful with such fun pictures and very attentive to my babies. Highly recommend!”

“Jenna is the best of the best! She treats the animals in her care like they are her own. I have one very outgoing and energetic pup and Jenna makes sure she gets all of her wiggles out while she is there. My older female is scared of everything, and Jenna takes the time to make sure she is comfortable during the visit. We are so lucky to have Jenna be part of our pack!”

“Emma is an absolutely amazing pet sitter! Very communicative which is always appreciated! Personable and polite, she is a professional that loved on our Lilly bear like she was her own!”

“Ashleigh is so sweet and bubbly and perfectly paired for my silly boy, Blu. She provides excellent communication and punctual. She took care of all of Blu’s needs and even brought in packages that were outside.”

“Annie is so awesome with Ellie Mae and Pearl and she is so prompt and efficient. I would highly recommend her and I will continue using her because of her availability which is so important to me because I’m very sporadic. Thanks Annie for loving my babies as much as I do.”

“Evelyn was absolutely wonderful with Gunner and Kitty. I had a last minute emergency and she responded very quickly and gave me continuous updates on my fur babies. She made sure they had every comfort and gave them lots of love during my absence. I will definitely use her in the future and I highly recommend her to anyone that loves their pets and wants the to enjoy the best care possible ❤️”

“Melissa is great! We met her through the Pocono Pack Walk that she organizes and she is the first person we have had walk Lena ever because we are so careful since Lena is dog selective/reactive.”

About: I absolutely love animals. I've had dogs and cats since I was 6. Since then I've help train a service dog and fostered many other dogs. I currently have three dogs: chihuahua mix, pug rat terrier mix, and a great Pyrenees. I currently am a personal trainer so I don’t have a set schedule. I will be able to let the pet outside or spend time with them in between clients. I can take the pets on daily walks, depending on their schedule and when they like to. I like to know where the food is and if they get treats for doing specific things.
“Alexis took great care of our dogs while we were away for the holidays! They seemed to really enjoy her care and company, and she went the extra mile making sure they had everything they needed. She was also very communicative and kept us informed at all times. 10/10, would book again.”

About: Ive had dogs, cats, ferrets, turtles, fish and more ever since I was little. I currently have dogs and ferrets who are my whole world. I currently have plenty of free time not just for my own furry friends but to help others give their furry friends the best life possible. I have a senior citizen beagle who has severe hip dysplasia and arthritis he takes medication 3 times a day orally, I also have a 4 year old mix breed puppy who is high energy and loves going on hikes and adventures. I recently got a great pyrenees/husky baby who is my little panda baby but loves going on walks, playing outside, going for car rides and being social.

About: I've had animals in my home since I was 6, specifically dogs. I've had 2 dogs growing up, a lizard and recently a cat. Any time any of my relatives leave home, I am always the first person they ask to come take care of their animals. I am unemployed at the moment due to recently moving to the Hubert area, so I have plenty of time for your beloved pets. I can play, walk and just spend quality time with them to make sure they get the love and attention they need. The first thing I like to do when I make my check in visits is to get to know them, especially if they are first time visits for me. I'll feed them and take them out to the bathroom and then spend some quality time with them so I can get to know them. Then I like to end my visits with a nice walk to get some of their energy out and get them some fresh air.
About: I have always grown up with animals and my love for them led me to a job at a pet resort. I was a kennel technician for 4 years which provided me great insight to care for all types of furry friends. I just graduated college from UNC Charlotte and home in Emerald Isle for the summer. Most days I workout and hang with my family so my schedule is pretty flexible. I always try to keep each pet’s routine as close as possible to what they’re used to because I know how stressful change can feel—especially for anxious pets. I’m patient, gentle, and attentive, and I make it my priority to provide comfort, consistency, and lots of love while they’re away from their parents.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them genuinely makes me happy. I’ve been around dogs and cats since I was young and currently have two dogs of my own, Sinclair my German Shepherd and Krypto my Lab, along with my two cats Marley and Ash. Because I have pets myself, I understand how important it is to find someone patient, trustworthy, and attentive to care for them while you’re away. I’m very comfortable with large breeds, high energy dogs, multi pet households, and giving pets the love and attention they need to feel safe and comfortable. My shift work schedule also gives me a flexible amount of free time, so I’m able to provide plenty of walks, playtime, cuddles, check ins, and quality care for your pets. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because my shift work schedule gives me a flexible amount of free time throughout the week. I’m able to work around different schedules and can provide check ins, walks, feeding, playtime, and quality attention for your pets while you’re away. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for is something I take seriously. I understand how important trust is when allowing someone into your home and around your pets. I’m very respectful of routines, house rules, feeding schedules, and any special instructions you provide because I know every pet has different needs and comfort levels. I have experience with both dogs and cats, including high energy dogs and multi pet households. My goal is always to make your pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while also giving owners peace of mind while they’re away.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Stella. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
