About: I've worked in the field of caring for others for a long time..babies, special needs, elderly, dogs, you name it! I have fostered several dogs and even a cat! I have had cats in the past. I have owned and helped care for friends lizards, snakes, guinea pigs, etc. I'll be devoted to providing the best care and fun for your fur-babies as I can! I'm reliable and responsible and I love animals. I have 2 dogs and I have consistently been a hand in helping friends and family with their animals in a pinch because I love spending time with animals. I have a big heart and I love to have fun and play sessions with almost all animals. I'm very attentive of dogs' needs and care for their happiness a great deal. I love give them hugs and kisses (if they allow it)..I promise to follow all instructions as best as I can and give the best care to every animal I meet! My schedule is pretty flexible. I try to break up my day so I work a few hours in the morning/afternoon as well as a few hours in the late afternoon/evening. I can rearrange for the most part, if I have enough notice. I do house sitting, drop in visits and walking with dogs so my schedule books up quick, but that’s they way I like it! I also have 2 dogs that I make sure to see every day as well, and my Great Dane goes to training classes for obedience (now) and later will go for therapy. I don’t live alone so they have someone else to help me care for them so that I can Rover as much as possible :) I am flexible when caring for dogs in your home and can meet you where you’re at. About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for majority of my life, from volunteering at shelters to raising my own two Labs, now ages 10 and 7. I have plenty of experience caring for senior dogs, including giving vitamins, sticking to feeding schedules, daily walks, and helping them with mobility like climbing stairs. My love for dogs is truly unmatched, and I treat every dog like family I currently work full-time, so my availability is primarily in the afternoons and on weekends. I am available for boarding on weekends, as well as weekday evenings after 5 PM I have a very large yard (not fenced), and I ensure all dogs are safely supervised at all times while outdoors. I can assist with crate training, potty breaks, and maintaining your dog’s preferred feeding routine, whether scheduled or free feeding. I’m happy to accommodate requests to keep dogs separated if needed. My own dogs enjoy playing fetch, relaxing, swimming, and being outside. I've had fur babies in my family my whole life, so I'm fluent in barks, meows, zoomies, and the very specific 3am guinea pig squeaking situation. Currently mom to a rescued German Shepherd mix who thinks he runs the house (he does), a bonded pair of cats who tolerate him, and a rescued guinea pig who is, frankly, the most dramatic member of the family. I have volunteered with KC Pet Project because animals don't just deserve survival, they deserve champions, and completed their dog and cat care training. Whether your pup needs a solid walk, your kitty needs lap time and laser pointer therapy, I've got you covered with love, patience, and an endless supply of baby talk. Your pet's comfort and safety is my whole thing. Drop-ins, walks, sit-ins. Let's make your time away the least stressful it's ever been. My schedule is genuinely flexible! I work part-time virtually running a nonprofit, so I'm not tied to a rigid daily routine. That means I can pop in as often as your pet needs throughout the day and into the evening, whether that's letting them out, refreshing food and water, or just hanging out for some ear scratches and couch time. And if your dog or cats do better with a consistent companion rather than drop-ins, I'm absolutely able to stay with them. Whatever keeps your pet happiest and most comfortable, we can make it work! Keeping the Peace (and the Pets Inside) Door safety is something I'm almost comically careful about. Before I open any exterior door, I make sure your pet is accounted for and not in a position to bolt. Cats especially have Olympic-level door-darting skills and I have a deep respect for that talent, which is exactly why I won't give them the chance to use it. I also do a quick walk-through each visit to make sure nothing is accessible that shouldn't be, food left out, cabinet doors open, small items on the floor, anything that could turn into a hazard gets addressed. And when I leave, your home gets fully secured, every single time, no exceptions. Out on Walks Every walk starts with a leash check, making sure everything is properly fitted and securely attached before we hit the sidewalk. Once we're out, I stay tuned in to what's around us. If another dog comes into view and is showing signs of reactivity or just seems like a potentially stressful interaction for your pup, I'll proactively move us away and give everyone space. I won't wait to see how it plays out. A calm, uneventful walk is always the goal.

About: We have had pets all of our life. From dogs to cats, bunnies, hamsters, and mice! We love going on walks, playing in the house or snuggling up on the couch. Special diets are no problem. I have taken care of geriatric pets and tummy sensitive pets before. I work 3 days a week. Katie is home all the time and is able to tend to your baby all day so your fur baby won't be lonely! We have a fenced in back yard and a cozy living room with plenty of dog beds to go around. I live right by a park with a walking trail for potty breaks. We do have 4 dogs and 3 cats of our own that are very friendly and love to play.
