About: Hello!! Just as much as I love hugging people I love snuggling with dogs! My name is Kayla and I recently moved to Brookside MO! I am just a 4 minute walk to a nearby trolley trail. I got my first whiff of being a pet sitter when I became roommates with a couple of friends and their golden poodle! From there on out I became a dog/cat sitter for Rover.! I also shared a beautiful German Shepard / black lab with my best friend! If you are looking for a flexible schedule and a caring friend for your family then you are at the right place! I look forward to meeting your furry family! I am able to work from home if needed! Depending on what your pet needs and if they are being boarded my schedule is pretty flexible. I will follow all the rules of the homeowner whom I am petsitting for. Please let me know if there are any special instructions when pet sitting or coming in for walks.

About: I have a stay at home job where my hours are very flexible. I do have visits with clients that can last 1-3 hours but if I know that I’m caring for your dog I will do my very best to not schedule two visits in a day! I will spend lots of quality time with your dog and make sure it is getting more than enough love and care that it needs! I work in social work, so I usually have 2-3 visits per week that last between 1-3 hours. Other than that, and the other activities I spend my time doing, I will give your dog so much love when I am home! I am rarely ever gone for more than 3 hours at a time. I am available any day of the week on a normal week. I live at an apartment complex, but we are only on the second floor, have a good amount of space, and our complex even has a dog park!

I have 6+ years of experience caring for my own cats, dog sitting, watching chickens, and volunteering through KC Pet Project. About: I have been a foster mom and adopter for 18 years. I fostered 50 dogs through a local rescue group. We have had 7 dogs, all but 1 are/ were snow dogs. I'm a part-time small animal physical therapist at ARC where we teach agility and obedience, help rehabilitate cats and dogs with injuries and provide quality of life rehab for seniors or the terminally ill. We took our last babies before they passed to ARC for quality of life, they had degenerative myelopathy and kidney disease, respectively. I fell in love with the place and became a PT. I have a soft spot for senior dogs, they deserve all the spoiling to make their golden years filled with love, comfort and adventure. To me dogs are equal to people and should be treated even better. I have a fenced in back yard and a home made for dogs. We have a four seasons room with a dog door to use. I split the house up according to where your dog is most comfortable while I'm out. We never miss our morning walk. In the summer we take dogs swimming at my in-law's pool 20 minutes in Blue Springs. We also have kiddie pools and a sandbox to discover toys. They can sleep in the bedroom, family room or patio room. If they are kennel training then in their kennel of course, which is in the very comfortable dog room. I am able to administer all types of medication, whether it be oral, injectable, or IV fluids. I am able to do dog CPR, we are also 5 minutes from our vet as well. My home is the ideal vacation spot for your furry friend. About this sitter: I'm a licensed Esthetician and have an in-home spa. I work at ARC part-time, just three afternoons a week. Clearly, I'm a huge dog lover. We previously fostered around 50 dogs for Furry Kids' Refuge. It is my life's work to stop puppy mills. I'm a very active person and enjoy outdoor activities. Why I love dog sitting Ever since, I was a child I grew up loving dogs and wanting to stop puppy mills. I always knew I wanted to work with animals in some kind of capacity. I worked on Proposition B with the Humane Society of America. I want to help people feel confident leaving their pets when away from home. About my yard I have a 1/3 acre yard fenced all the way around. We have lots of trees and outdoor dog beds to hang out on under the hammocks. We have lots of squirrels to watch and all of our neighbors have dogs. We have a small wrap around deck that connects to our 4 seasons patio room with a dog door. My experience administering medication I am trained in dispensing all types of medicine; whether it be oral or injectable. I'm also able to do IV fluids and CPR. Your dog(s) will be a part of my family while you are away. They will go about their day doing what they normally do at home. They will be free to play and not be cooped up like at a daycare or vet facility. We have a million toys to play with and a nice neighborhood to walk in and lots of places to nap. We currently have two dogs, they both came from difficult situations, but they love to play with other dogs, it's people that can be intimidating. They prefer people that bring dogs in the house. We do slow introductions. We start with a walking meet and greet around the neighborhood and then we come in the backyard with your dog off-leash to smell and then they can all meet slowly. If all the dogs like each other then I do like a day visit if you will be gone more than a few days, so that your dog is comfy here. If you will be gone more than 2 weeks I recommend a night stay beforehand. I work part-time from home in my spa and part time at ARC on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. We walk every morning and most days I head to the gym after. Perfect time for the dogs to decompress in their own areas and nap. I have a nice fenced in yard with locks on the gates. All dogs are separated by gates and have their own comfortable spaces with multiple rooms. All dogs are fed separately for safety.
