About: My household has always had a furry friend in it since the day I was born from small ankle biters like Chihuahuas to hefty cuties like my current Bully Pit that I can safely wrestle in some horseplay. Puppies, seniors, we don't discriminate 'round here! I don't mind getting my hands dirty and have small experience in clicker training younger pups along with an energy to match whichever personality I'm given. A boundless Collie? We can play all day! A sleepy old Bassett? We can chill with some TV. I'm not above being put to work either. Give me a litter box to clean. Give me medicine and I'll make sure it's getting swallowed. Toss a cat my way as well why doncha? I worked as a cat caretaker during my fall and spring semesters in Auburn University, as well as own a lovely kitten named Autumn, so having a feline to shake things up would be a nice treat! Trust me, my hands have a good pain tolerance. Beyond that, I know it costs major bucks to look after your pets. Or pay someone ELSE too. Sometimes a week stay for a pet can run up to $500! That's why you come to me. I offer affordable rates because I'm more concerned with the passion than the money. I have multiple pets of my own and I know the chip they can put in my wallet just from vet visits! So I won't let it get in your way! 🤠 I've graduated happily from Auburn University with a degree in Animal Sciences and am settling into a new job. This means that while I'm happy to take on new clients, my schedule is sporadic as it's determined on a weekly basis. It also means I will be gone for many hours at a time. My current work schedule and thus how long I'd be busy for Aug 11-17 is: Mon: Free Tue: 4-9:30 pm Wed: 5-9:30 pm Thurs: 5-9:30 pm Fri: 3-9:30 pm Sat: 4-9:30 pm Sun: Free Safety is a non-negotiable when it comes to our furry friends. Just like I do with my own pals, I stay by them at all times when outside and encourage their attention with toys or loving scritches when they're not doing their business. If push comes to shove, I am capable of safely wrestling an overzealous dog into calming down or tightening the 'ol leash if need be. With cats, responsibly scruffing rarely fails. Inside, unless stated otherwise where they're allowed to park themselves, I stay with my little friends on the floor and can crate them if specified to do so when it's bedtime. If they're free roamers, I let them tag along where I go! Except the kitchen. I also welcome animals who require daily or periodic medication. Bear in mind I charge $10 per day of administering medication, and it would cover all required meds for that day. Rest assured your friend will be taken care of!

“Always better than expected. On time, stays a little longer, puts in the perfect walk while factoring in the hot conditions. Coco just loves her. You can see it on her face via the pics she sends to update me.”

“Valarie did such a great job taking care of Pongo while we were out of town. Not only was he supper happy when we got home but the photos, videos and updates were wonderful to have. She even vacuumed up all the dog hair, that was a nice surprise to come home to a clean floor.”

“Christina was great with Charlie!! She took him for a lengthy walk and he relieved himself multiple times. She also let him visit with the other dogs that were out and about which Charlie loves. She gave him treats and checked his food bowl. He had a great visit with Christina and we will definitely use her again! It gave me great piece of mind since we did not get home until after midnight.”

“I met with Morgan yesterday. She is very conscientious and knowledgeable. I have an Airedale who has aggression issues from a past attack. She can handle him, and as we passed other dogs on the trail, she corrected him very well. I’m excited to have Morgan work with my dog.”

I've also transported close to 100 dogs on rescue trips across the country, caring for them along the way, and have fostered many dogs in my home until they found their forever families. I currently have two pets of my own (a terrier mix and a cat). While I'm pet sitting, my partner is able to care for them so that I can devote my attention to yours. In the past, I've also owned and/or been a caregiver for a spaniel, lab, donkeys, bunnies, hamsters, and fish. I promise to care for your pets as if they were my own. I worked in corporate IT for 10 years. Now I'm taking a break from the 9-5 to focus on my passions, which includes caring for animals. I would truly love to meet your sweet pets and show them a great time! --- DROP-IN VISITS: I will feed, refill water, administer medication, give treats, scoop litter, take your dog out for a potty break, and play with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). Please let me know exactly what you need and I will customize the drop-in visit for you. Want more quality playtime, exercise, and hands-on care for your pet? A drop-in can be extended to any length of time for just $15 for each additional half hour. --- DOG WALKING: I love to walk, and I bet your dog does too! With me, your dog will get the perfect walk for them, whether that's a brisk power-walk, or a leisurely stroll with plenty of time to sniff around the neighborhood. It'll be just me and your dog(s). Really looking to tire your dog out, or just need them out of the house for longer? Book an extended walk or hike for just $15 per additional half hour. I can also take them on a trail hike at a nearby park if you prefer (e.g. Village Point Preserve, Blakeley State Park). For this I recommend an extended booking to cover our driving time to and from the park. I will let you know what options are near you. They will sleep like a baby when we're done! --- HOUSE SITTING: As a dog and cat owner myself, I know how nerve-wracking it can be to have to leave your furry family members behind. Allowing your pets to stay in their own environment and stick to their familiar routines is an ideal situation to minimize their stress while you're gone. I will stay overnight in your home to keep both you and your pets at ease. My flexible schedule allows me to give extra attention and love to your pets throughout the day. Your home will be my home base for the duration of the booking. I will be with your pets most of the time. Caring for them will be my top priority. For dogs: I will let dogs out according to their regular potty break schedule, if not more frequently. We will go on walks around the neighborhood, and can also go on hikes at local parks if they would enjoy that. We'll have lots of playtime and cuddle time. For cats: We will have lots of varied playtime to keep them active and happy, and plenty of pets and brushing to keep them purring if they enjoy that. I will scoop litter daily or more frequently as required. I will message you letting you know when I first arrive and when I last leave your house. I then typically send 2-3 updates per day describing how they are doing, including photos and videos. If you prefer either more frequent updates or fewer interruptions, please let me know! I am happy to communicate in whatever way best suits you. And I am always reachable via Rover chat/call. As for taking care of your home, I will keep your house clean and tidy. I can take in mail and packages, water plants, and take trash cans out to the curb and back on trash day if you like at no extra charge. I am a non-smoker, and no one else will be in your home but me. Lastly, I will perform quick checks for accidents throughout the house on a daily basis. If there are any rooms you do not want your pet to be in while you're gone, please close those doors before you leave. Note: Small animals, reptiles, or fish sharing a tank or enclosure will be charged as just one additional pet. Dog Bathing: If you'd like your dog to be fresh as a daisy when you return from your trip, I offer dog baths as a $30 add-on per dog. You just provide the hose or the bathtub; I'll bring the dog shampoo, gentle exfoliating bath brush, towel, and kiddie pool (if not using a bathtub). I am well-practiced in bathing dogs and will be sure to keep the soap out of their eyes and ears! --- I'm home full-time, so my schedule is very flexible to accommodate your pet's needs. I'm available to look after your pet 7 days a week, morning, afternoon, or evening. I am also available most holidays. I request 24 hours' advance notice for bookings, with more notice preferred for first-time bookings to coordinate a complimentary meet & greet. For busy holiday times, I recommend booking further in advance to reserve your dates. If you do have a last minute request for any service though, please reach out and I will be happy to see if I can help! --- My goal when looking after your pet is to be the next best thing to you! I will do everything I can to ensure that they are comfortable and that our time together is well spent. I send photo/video updates for all drop-ins and walks, and house-sits. I will keep your house picked up and free of anything your pets shouldn't get into, and I will keep your house secure while you are away, ensuring that doors are locked and security systems are armed as needed. If there's anything else I can do to help ease your mind, please let me know. --- Booking Logistics: For all first-time bookings, I will reference your pet's profile to get to know them. Please update this in Rover, including your vet and emergency contact information, prior to sending your booking request if you can. I would then like to schedule a complimentary meet and greet with you and your pets at your home so that we can ensure it is a good fit for everyone, and most importantly to allow your pets an opportunity to get comfortable with me before our scheduled service. Following the meet and greet, you may then confirm and pay for the booking in Rover in order to reserve your dates. If you later need to cancel, I offer a flexible cancellation policy: - House sits may be cancelled by 12pm CT seven days before for a full refund. - Drop-ins & dog walks may be cancelled by 12pm CT one day before for a full refund. - Any later cancellations receive a 50% refund for the first 7 days in the booking, and a full refund for any days after that. We can discuss several options for me to retrieve and return a key or otherwise access your home securely. If you would prefer that I make a separate visit when you are home to pick up or return a key, I offer key pickup or drop-off as a $10 add-on per trip to any service. ---

About: Hi, I’m Michelle (or Chelle), I’m a 25-year-old university graduate and recently married. Growing up, there was always a dog in our house—they are a part of the family. My home has always had small to medium dogs, but many of my friends have large dogs that I've taken care of and loved like my own. One of my life’s greatest joys is having a dog. I strive to love and care for dogs (and animals in general) with gentleness and patience. And with every pet, I will treat them with kindness and respect. As for some relevant work experience history, I've done dog sitting here and there for a while now, worked at a Camp Bow Wow and volunteered at the Animal Rescue Foundation. I hope you'll consider me as your pet caregiver. I look forward to working with you and meeting your pets. I'm currently working part-time, so my schedule is flexible. I'm available for walking, pet sitting and drop-in visits. (Please note: I'm only able to do pet sitting/boarding in the pet parents' home) I am experienced in administering oral or topical medication as required, general grooming such as brushing and bathing, and I am able to easily crate your dog if needed.

About: I bond with dogs and cats quite quickly. They seem to sense that I care about them deeply. I have cared for many cats throughout my childhood. Working with the animal shelter as well to provide care for sick animals. As for dogs I have dog sat many times for various friends over the years. I have never had a complaint thus far. I treat everyone's cat or dog as if they were my own and therefore give them the utmost care. I currently work almost full time but I am always off on Fridays. My schedule varies but please do not hesitate to reach out. I would love to hang out with pets before or after work. I will give the pet plenty of attention and care as if the pet were my own. I myself have a therapy cat that requires a lot of attention so I know how to give that kind of attention. I will follow all instructions that you give me. Caring for animals is a passion of mine.

“We had a special fur baby named Abby that was 12 years old. She had never been in a kennel or without at least one of us for more than a few hours in her whole life. We went out of town for a week and entrusted her to Matt. He really went the extra mile while caring for her. He kept us informed about her every day and spent many hours with her making her comfortable while missing us. She required daily medicine and special care and Matt really came through for her. Matt is responsible, trustworthy, an all around awesome human being!!!”

“Lexie has been phenomenal! She takes excellent care of my two boys (cats) every time I call. She is very considerate with constant updates, unpromted too! I don't have to ask how they are doing, she gives me a little update daily. Lexie goes the extra mile to keep them comfortable, and I really appreciate her attention to detail.
