“My wife and I are so grateful to have Jaclyn as Lola’s dog walker. Jaclyn provides a level of care that feels like a family member whenever she’s with Lola. Jaclyn is very patient and gentle with Lola. My wife and I can tell from the photos. Lola is always happy to see Jaclyn. If you want a dog walker who will treat your pet with the same love and attention you do. I highly recommend Jaclyn”

About: I’ve loved caring for animals for as long as I can remember and have been helping with pets since middle school. Growing up, I also gained hands-on experience working as a stable hand, which taught me the importance of responsibility, patience, and paying close attention to each animal’s needs. While living in the Birmingham area for college, I provided dependable pet care and house-sitting for families, including caring for both dogs and cats during longer stays. Now that I’m back home on the Eastern Shore, I’m excited to continue offering pet care locally and would love the opportunity to care for your pets, too! I have a calm, gentle presence and do my best to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and thoughtful about following each pet’s normal routine, preferences, and care instructions. I currently work a remote part-time job, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I’m available for drop-in visits, walks, and overnight stays, including extended house-sitting. Because of this flexibility, I’m able to give your pets consistent attention and make their care a priority. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I want both the pets and their owners to feel completely comfortable. I take time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, favorite activities, and any special needs so I can keep things as familiar and low-stress as possible. I also treat each home with respect by keeping things clean and tidy, following instructions carefully, and making sure everything is safely locked up before I leave. About: I’ve had six years of kennel experience at places like doggy day cares and currently am employed at a vet clinic! At my jobs, I have been responsible for special cases such as dogs with health conditions and giving medications. I also have experience with home visits/overnight stays with clients as well! I currently am employed full time at a vet clinic working as a lead kennel assistant, this means I am responsible for the cats and dogs that are staying the night at our facility! The beginning of my day would be dedicated to your pet then I’m off to work at 7:00 am. I would return for mid-day care at 10:00-11:00 am. Once I’m off work I’d be back for the end of day around 5:30-6:00 pm! With my experience at not only at doggy day cares but vet clinics I know just how important it is to be attentive towards our pets! Especially pets with medical issues or issues that are common in certain breeds! With my training I can provide a safe and trusting environment that will let owners feel at ease when they are not home!

About: I’ve had a passion for dog care for as long as I can remember! From just dropping in, going on walks, providing medication, over night care, and holiday stays, I’ve done it all. I’d love to service you and your pup(s)! Let’s discuss scheduling, routine, and what works best for you and your pet(s)! I work Monday-Friday 7am-4pm and my schedule is open nights and weekends! I can provide normal care for your pup, just as a typical working family does! I offer extended care, as well as drop in visits as needed. About: I have stayed in homes for several days caring for three dogs, ensuring they received attention, exercise, and routine care. I’ve also provided traditional pet sitting services, checking in on dogs, feeding them, and taking them for walks. I am extremely detail-oriented and committed to following all instructions exactly as given to ensure pets remain comfortable, safe, and happy whether they are in their home environment or mine. I am a college student home for the summer and I am working a part time job 20 hours per week at Lake Forest Racquet Club. Therefore, I have a very flexible schedule as I usually only work from 7 A.M. to 12 P.M. four days a week. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I prioritize safety, structure, and stimulation. In a client’s home, I strictly follow all instructions and respect their space while maintaining a calm and clean environment for the pet. In my own home, I ensure pets receive plenty of attention, mental stimulation, and physical activity through regular walks and playtime. I truly strive to create a comfortable setting where pets feel secure and cared for at all times!
“Christina is amazing! I can’t say it enough. We had to leave town short notice for a death in the family, and she saved our booties. It was her first time meeting our pups and even though the cat was set up and didn’t need anything, she still gave her attention too. I will definitely book her again. She is super attentive and sweet. I’d give her 100 stars if I could!”

About: Hi, I’m Michelle (or Chelle), I’m a 25-year-old university graduate and recently married. Growing up, there was always a dog in our house—they are a part of the family. My home has always had small to medium dogs, but many of my friends have large dogs that I've taken care of and loved like my own. One of my life’s greatest joys is having a dog. I strive to love and care for dogs (and animals in general) with gentleness and patience. And with every pet, I will treat them with kindness and respect. As for some relevant work experience history, I've done dog sitting here and there for a while now, worked at a Camp Bow Wow and volunteered at the Animal Rescue Foundation. I hope you'll consider me as your pet caregiver. I look forward to working with you and meeting your pets. I'm currently working part-time, so my schedule is flexible. I'm available for walking, pet sitting and drop-in visits. (Please note: I'm only able to do pet sitting/boarding in the pet parents' home) I am experienced in administering oral or topical medication as required, general grooming such as brushing and bathing, and I am able to easily crate your dog if needed.

Matthew is truly an exceptional dog walker and we couldn't be happier with the care he provides for our dog, Lola. From day one, Matthew has been incredibly nice, attentive, and dependable. He treats Lola as if she were his own dog, which gives us complete peace of mind when we're away. Lola absolutely adores him, and her excitement when he arrives speaks volumes about their bond. What truly sets Matthew apart is his proactive commitment to Lola's safety. We especially appreciate that he tests the pavement before every walk to ensure the temperature is safe for her paws. This level of thoughtfulness goes above and beyond, demonstrating genuine care for Lola’s well-being. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
