Christina is amazing! I can’t say it enough. We had to leave town short notice for a death in the family, and she saved our booties. It was her first time meeting our pups and even though the cat was set up and didn’t need anything, she still gave her attention too. I will definitely book her again. She is super attentive and sweet. I’d give her 100 stars if I could!

About: I’ve had a passion for dog care for as long as I can remember! From just dropping in, going on walks, providing medication, over night care, and holiday stays, I’ve done it all. I’d love to service you and your pup(s)! Let’s discuss scheduling, routine, and what works best for you and your pet(s)! I work Monday-Friday 7am-4pm and my schedule is open nights and weekends! I can provide normal care for your pup, just as a typical working family does! I offer extended care, as well as drop in visits as needed. I believe it’s better and more comfortable for pups to stay in their own homes, but depending on need and preference, I welcome boarding as well!

About: I have stayed in homes for several days caring for three dogs, ensuring they received attention, exercise, and routine care. I’ve also provided traditional pet sitting services, checking in on dogs, feeding them, and taking them for walks. I am extremely detail-oriented and committed to following all instructions exactly as given to ensure pets remain comfortable, safe, and happy whether they are in their home environment or mine. I am a college student home for the summer and I am working a part time job 20 hours per week at Lake Forest Racquet Club. Therefore, I have a very flexible schedule as I usually only work from 7 A.M. to 12 P.M. four days a week. Whether caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I prioritize safety, structure, and stimulation. In a client’s home, I strictly follow all instructions and respect their space while maintaining a calm and clean environment for the pet. In my own home, I ensure pets receive plenty of attention, mental stimulation, and physical activity through regular walks and playtime. I truly strive to create a comfortable setting where pets feel secure and cared for at all times!

About: I have been caring for pets since middle school and gained hands-on experience working as a stable hand while growing up. Since moving to the Birmingham area for college, I have provided reliable house-sitting and pet care services, looking after dogs and cats for extended periods. Now that I am back in my hometown on the Eastern Shore, I am continuing to care for my family's pets and would be ecstatic to care for your pets as well! With a warm and calm presence, I ensure that pets feel comfortable and well-cared for while their owners are away. Dependable and detail-oriented, I take pride in providing attentive, trustworthy care tailored to each pet’s needs. I'm currently working a remote part-time job, so any type of care, whether it's drop-in visits, walks, or overnight care for extensive time periods, works great for my schedule. This flexibility allows me to make caring for your pets my top priority! In my client’s home I always aim to make not only the pets but the owners feel comfortable and safe while I am taking care of their furry friends! When learning about the pet I am caring for, I strive to learn their normal behaviors, daily routines, and activities that make them feel loved so that I can make them as comfortable as possible while their owners are away. I also make sure to take good care of their homes during my stay. I am diligent about fostering a low-stress environment, keeping things clean and tidy, as well as safely locked up!

About: Hi, I’m Michelle (or Chelle), I’m a 25-year-old university graduate and recently married. Growing up, there was always a dog in our house—they are a part of the family. My home has always had small to medium dogs, but many of my friends have large dogs that I've taken care of and loved like my own. One of my life’s greatest joys is having a dog. I strive to love and care for dogs (and animals in general) with gentleness and patience. And with every pet, I will treat them with kindness and respect. As for some relevant work experience history, I've done dog sitting here and there for a while now, worked at a Camp Bow Wow and volunteered at the Animal Rescue Foundation. I hope you'll consider me as your pet caregiver. I look forward to working with you and meeting your pets. I'm currently working part-time, so my schedule is flexible. I'm available for walking, pet sitting and drop-in visits. (Please note: I'm only able to do pet sitting/boarding in the pet parents' home) I am experienced in administering oral or topical medication as required, general grooming such as brushing and bathing, and I am able to easily crate your dog if needed.

About: Hi! I’m Claire, and caring for animals has been a huge part of my life for years. I have over 10 years of pet care experience, including professional pet sitting, working in luxury dog boarding, and managing a pet specialty store. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or needs a little extra attention, I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities—from tiny puppies to giant breeds—and I have experience with high-energy working dogs, senior pets, and administering basic medications when needed. Safety, reliability, and communication are my top priorities, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pets are in great hands. During every visit, I’ll provide plenty of love, playtime, fresh water, meals, potty breaks, and lots of attention. I’ll also send frequent photo and video updates so you never have to wonder how your furry family member is doing. I know every pet has their own routine, and I’m happy to follow yours to help them feel comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! I work a full-time Monday through Friday schedule, but I’m available to provide pet care during my lunch break, in the evenings after work, and throughout the weekends. I understand how important it is for pets to maintain their normal routine, so I make every effort to provide dependable, timely care that fits their needs. Whether your pet needs a midday potty break, an evening walk, drop-in visits, overnight care, or weekend companionship, you can count on me to provide attentive, reliable care and keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away. At this time, I do not provide boarding services in my own home out of respect for my own dogs and to ensure they can maintain their normal routine. However, I am more than happy to care for your pets in the comfort of your home, where they can stay in a familiar environment and experience less stress while you’re away. When staying in your home or providing drop-in visits, I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, potty breaks, and plenty of love and attention. I treat every home with the utmost respect, keep everything clean and secure, and provide regular photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your pets are safe, happy, and well cared for.

Alyssa is fantastic! She has walked my dog multiple times in the past couple weeks and I cannot complain. I have requested that she come around lunch to walk Andi and she does her best even though it can be a super inconvenient time. Some of my friends who have happened to see Alyssa and Andi have always commented that Andi seems so happy with her. I definitely recommend Alyssa!

About: I've raised two dogs, a pitbull named khole who I just recently lost to Cancer😔. She was 12 years old and the greatest most loyal dog i could have ever hoped for. I had her since she was a puppy and we traveled everywhere together, now I have Apollo a Scottish collie I got while living in Germany, he just turned 2 years. I have been around dogs most of my life as far back as I can remember. I am a medically retired veteran. So to generate extra income and keep myself active this is what I do, I get a lot of emotional joy from being around dogs, as a small I always gravitated towards dogs so I just naturally grew to love dogs. To me their is no better gift then to be truly loved and what loves us more then our dogs ? I have a fenced yard 1/3 of a acre with a pool and garden. My house is well maintained and orderly. Your pet will always be safe in my care.

Matthew is truly an exceptional dog walker and we couldn't be happier with the care he provides for our dog, Lola. From day one, Matthew has been incredibly nice, attentive, and dependable. He treats Lola as if she were his own dog, which gives us complete peace of mind when we're away. Lola absolutely adores him, and her excitement when he arrives speaks volumes about their bond. What truly sets Matthew apart is his proactive commitment to Lola's safety. We especially appreciate that he tests the pavement before every walk to ensure the temperature is safe for her paws. This level of thoughtfulness goes above and beyond, demonstrating genuine care for Lola’s well-being. If you are looking for a reliable, compassionate, and attentive dog walker who treats your pet like family, we highly recommend Matthew. He is simply the best!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
