My wife and I are so grateful to have Jaclyn as Lola’s dog walker. Jaclyn provides a level of care that feels like a family member whenever she’s with Lola. Jaclyn is very patient and gentle with Lola. My wife and I can tell from the photos. Lola is always happy to see Jaclyn. If you want a dog walker who will treat your pet with the same love and attention you do. I highly recommend Jaclyn

About: What sets me apart is my professional experience in veterinary medicine. I have several years of hands-on experience as a veterinary assistant, so I’m comfortable recognizing signs of illness, administering medications, and caring for pets with special medical needs. I have experience with puppies, senior pets, and animals that may be nervous or require extra patience. Whether your pet needs medication, a consistent routine, or just lots of love and attention, I’ll treat them like they’re part of my own family. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, so I always provide reliable communication, photo updates, and personalized care to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable while you’re away. Pet care is already a big part of my everyday life. I work in the veterinary field, so caring for animals is what I do both professionally and personally. My schedule allows me to provide walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, medication administration, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I plan my day around the pets in my care to make sure they stay on their normal routine. Whether it’s feeding, exercise, playtime, medications, or just giving extra cuddles, I make it a priority to provide dependable, loving care and keep pet parents updated with photos and messages throughout each visit. I always care for pets as if they were my own while following each owner’s specific instructions and routine. In my client’s home, I work to keep pets comfortable by maintaining their normal schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medications, and lots of love and attention. I also make sure their home is respected and kept clean, and I provide regular photo and message updates so owners can have peace of mind while they’re away. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, clean, and loving environment with plenty of supervised playtime, exercise, and affection. I make sure each pet has fresh water, comfortable places to rest, and receives individualized care based on their personality, age, and needs. My veterinary experience also allows me to confidently care for puppies, senior pets, and pets that require medications or extra monitoring.

About: 🐾 Welcome to Our Home Away From Home! 🐾 I believe every pet deserves to be treated like family. When your furry friend stays with me, they’ll receive the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own dogs. Building trust with both pets and their owners is the most important part of what I do, and I strive to make every visit safe, fun, and stress-free. I encourage meet-and-greets for new clients whenever possible so we can get to know each other, discuss your pet’s routine, answer any questions, and make sure everyone is comfortable before their stay. Boarding Boarding takes place in my home, where your pet will be part of our daily life not left alone in a kennel. I stay home full-time, so your dog will have plenty of supervision, playtime, potty breaks, cuddles, and companionship throughout the day. I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely run, explore, and burn off energy. My own two dogs love making new friends: * Pumpkin is my “teenager who acts like a senior.” She’s laid-back, sweet, and enjoys relaxing just as much as playing. * Molly is a six-month-old puppy with lots of energy who loves to play and make new friends. Whether your pet enjoys zoomies in the yard or curling up for a nap, I’ll do my best to match their comfort level and routine. Personalized Care Every pet is different, and every family has different expectations. I’ll happily follow your feeding schedule, medication instructions, exercise preferences, and any special routines that help your pet feel at home. My goal is to keep their experience as familiar and comfortable as possible while you’re away. You’ll also receive updates and photos, because I know how important it is to know your pet is happy and well cared for. My Experience Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Along with professional experience caring for pets, I grew up helping care for neighborhood pets and family animals. Those experiences taught me that patience, consistency, and genuine love make all the difference. When you book with me, you’re not just finding someone to watch your pet, you’re choosing someone who will welcome them into the family and treat them with the love and care they deserve. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member! 🐶❤️ Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, allowing me to provide consistent attention, walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of affection. I plan my schedule to ensure every pet receives the time and care they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow your instructions for feeding, medications, routines, and exercise while maintaining a clean, secure environment. I have a fully fenced-in yard for safe outdoor play, and my two friendly dogs adore other fur babies and enjoy making new friends. I believe in building trust with both pets and their owners through reliable care, patience, and regular updates. 🐾

About: I’ve loved caring for animals for as long as I can remember and have been helping with pets since middle school. Growing up, I also gained hands-on experience working as a stable hand, which taught me the importance of responsibility, patience, and paying close attention to each animal’s needs. While living in the Birmingham area for college, I provided dependable pet care and house-sitting for families, including caring for both dogs and cats during longer stays. Now that I’m back home on the Eastern Shore, I’m excited to continue offering pet care locally and would love the opportunity to care for your pets, too! I have a calm, gentle presence and do my best to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and thoughtful about following each pet’s normal routine, preferences, and care instructions. I currently work a remote part-time job, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I’m available for drop-in visits, walks, and overnight stays, including extended house-sitting. Because of this flexibility, I’m able to give your pets consistent attention and make their care a priority. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I want both the pets and their owners to feel completely comfortable. I take time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, favorite activities, and any special needs so I can keep things as familiar and low-stress as possible. I also treat each home with respect by keeping things clean and tidy, following instructions carefully, and making sure everything is safely locked up before I leave. Matthew is truly an exceptional dog walker and we couldn't be happier with the care he provides for our dog, Lola. From day one, Matthew has been incredibly nice, attentive, and dependable. He treats Lola as if she were his own dog, which gives us complete peace of mind when we're away. Lola absolutely adores him, and her excitement when he arrives speaks volumes about their bond. What truly sets Matthew apart is his proactive commitment to Lola's safety. We especially appreciate that he tests the pavement before every walk to ensure the temperature is safe for her paws. This level of thoughtfulness goes above and beyond, demonstrating genuine care for Lola’s well-being. If you are looking for a reliable, compassionate, and attentive dog walker who treats your pet like family, we highly recommend Matthew. He is simply the best!

About: Ever since I can remember I have always cherished spending time with dogs, cats, fish and any other beloved household pet. I began pet sitting in my early teenage years, and developed that passion project by offering services both on Rover and freelance. I can supervise and host as many as 4 pets in my/ your house at once- paying attention to each and every one of them. I usually take walks early in the morning or later before sunset. And up to 3 30 min walks on weekends. I basically stay outside on the weekends if I can help it. Willing to tailor my schedule. When I am in someone elses space, it's their space, their rules. Respect is valuable to me and I wanted to adhere to my clients wishes. I allow my little ones on furniture, however they are to be kept in their kennel while unsupervised. Other than that my pets are my children and can be free as much as possible. We have a fenced in backyard so leashes aren’t necessary unless we go on walks. Harnesses and leashes are required at that point. My availability is currently open to week nights and weekends. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to serving you as a trusted pet sitter. I appriciate scheduling at least 2 weeks ahead for any bookings. I am free on evenings, holidays and weekends. I can schedule meetings with you throughout the week in person if you wish. In general, I am willing to tailor my schedule depending on what's going on. Very felxible! My husband helps me and I him when boarding a pet...so you'll have double the supervision. If I am dropping in for a visit or taking a walk I just make sure to be cautious and aware of my surroundings.

About: I’ve had a passion for dog care for as long as I can remember! From just dropping in, going on walks, providing medication, over night care, and holiday stays, I’ve done it all. I’d love to service you and your pup(s)! Let’s discuss scheduling, routine, and what works best for you and your pet(s)! I work Monday-Friday 7am-4pm and my schedule is open nights and weekends! I can provide normal care for your pup, just as a typical working family does! I offer extended care, as well as drop in visits as needed. I believe it’s better and more comfortable for pups to stay in their own homes, but depending on need and preference, I welcome boarding as well!

About: I know how much you love your furry friends because I have a few of my own. I've taken care of many breeds but my big guy is a black Lab, Shadow. I took care of his father and mother until they passed, and I've had the opportunity to bring Shadow up since birth. He is my best friend! We love going for walks to explore and racing each other to the park, he also really loves fetch. I can handle the big energy these guys bring no matter their size and I have the patience to take care of them the way they need to be. they deserve it! I am a local realtor her in Fairhope. I am blessed with the ability to make my own schedule, so I am as flexible as you are able to be. On occasion things may come up but once I lock times in with you I can usually work around them. I feed my dog regularly at consistent times as well as take him out 4 times a day minimum. I like to play with I'm all the time when I'm around and frequently when we go outside to go to the bathroom.

About: With over 20 years as a devoted dog mom, my heart and home are open to your fur baby. I have a profound love for dogs and prefer them to people. lol- JK…ish🐾🤭 jokes aside, every dog deserves a place where they can be cared for, loved, and comfortable when their people have to be away. Offering that is a great responsibility I take pleasure in embracing. Raising my current Weimaraner’s, June and Pluto, from puppyhood, I’ve honed my skills in consistent, patient, and loving puppy training. I’m equally experienced with senior dogs, including those with mobility challenges or blindness, ensuring they feel safe and cherished. From the eye boogers to more serious issues, I’m always prioritizing your dog’s unique needs with honesty and integrity. My home features a large, fenced backyard and a cozy screened-in patio for relaxing together. With me working from home, your pup will enjoy constant companionship alongside June and Pluto, who love welcoming new pack members.🐾🤎 Working from home, I provide round-the-clock companionship for your dog. My flexible job lets me step away to play outside, cuddle indoors, or give pets and love throughout the day. Whether in our dog🐾approved large backyard, my couches, or even my bed, I’m always by your pup’s side, ensuring they’re never alone. June and Pluto, my 2 Weims are naturally gentle, playful, and welcoming to dogs of all sizes, from tiny paws to big goofballs. Dogs are masters at reading energy, and I promise your pup will feel safe, loved, and a genuine pack inclusion.🐾 Our backyard is great! It is a secure paradise for zoomies, fetch, and adventures—safe, private, and fun. When it’s time to wind down, our screened-in patio is the spot to relax together, soak up the breeze, and just chill…. or get the squeaky out of every toy 😆 We do have pool, but rest assured: I’m always vigilant and take precautions or jump in fully clothed without hesitation- seriously, no worries. To make your pup feel extra comfortable, please bring their favorite daily essentials (bedding, blankets, crate, toys, food, etc.). I have plenty of backups on hand if needed, but nothing beats their own familiar smells! 🐾 Every stay is tailored with all my heart to your dog’s unique personality and routine. Your pup will have constant companionship, warm welcomes from June and Pluto, and never a dull (or lonely) moment. *and they will comeback to you bathed if needed* Contact me for a safe, fun, loving stay—

Christina is amazing! I can’t say it enough. We had to leave town short notice for a death in the family, and she saved our booties. It was her first time meeting our pups and even though the cat was set up and didn’t need anything, she still gave her attention too. I will definitely book her again. She is super attentive and sweet. I’d give her 100 stars if I could!

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was always the one bringing home and caring for animals that needed extra love and attention. I even wanted to become a veterinarian — but my heart is just a little too soft when it comes to animals. Caring for pets isn’t just a side job for me — it genuinely makes me happy. I truly love spending time with dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. Your dog won’t just get a quick visit — they’ll get someone who genuinely enjoys being there. I have a flexible work schedule that allows me to accommodate walks and potty breaks every few hours. Your dog’s routine and comfort will always be a priority. I currently offer drop-in visits and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to stop by every few hours if needed. During each visit, I make sure your pet gets potty breaks, fresh water, feeding (if needed), and plenty of playtime and attention. I truly love spending time with dogs — whether that’s playing fetch, going for a short walk, or just giving belly rubs and keeping them company. I always follow your pet’s routine closely to help them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m very clean and respectful of your home and treat every space as if it were my own. My goal is to make sure you come home to a happy pet and peace of mind.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
