“We love Lori! We were in need of someone to walk our dog while I was out of town and my husband was working and not only was she trustworthy, kind and on time, she was flexible with our changing needs and communicated so well! Will absolutely be using her in the future and would recommend if you need a dog walker!”

About: I have had dogs my whole life, and have experience with both small and large dog care. Experience giving medication to dogs. I also enjoy taking dogs for walks.. I currently work part-time, but can arrange pet care around my work schedule. I am a recent high school graduate and will be going to college in the fall, but can be available from time to time to sit. I’m a lifelong dog lover, I’ve never known a time in my life where I haven’t had a dog as a pet. I treat my dogs like my siblings and would do the same for any dog I’m caring for.
“We had a very last minute need for a check in visit for our dogs and Sydnie was an absolute angel! She fed and walked our pups and spent some sweet time snuggling with them as well! We hope the next time isn’t quite so urgent, and can’t wait for Sydnie to visit again!”

“Mikaela is my go to. She is super professional and very communicative. We absolutely love having Mikaela drop on on our cats and I always get a bunch of photos of them afterwards.”

“Lindsay was absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of our dog while we were away and went above and beyond by also caring for our guinea pigs and watering our plants. We came home to happy pets and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing everything was in such great hands. Highly recommend!”

“Abby is wonderful! She knows how to take good care of dogs and guinea pigs. Our pitbull mix Hazel got along with her really well. The guinea pigs were kept clean and healthy. I highly recommend her.”

“Mia is fantastic. She took care of my Pit Bull Jake while we were away for a holiday weekend. She kept the communication going. Sending me pictures and updates. I’ve continued with Mia walking Jake daily and would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter! Thanks Matt F.”

“I highly recommend Megan for drop-in visits. She was super reliable and went above and beyond! I always received detailed communication about what was going on at home while I was traveling plus photos, and my dogs loved her and her husband, Steven. Even my shy dog, Zoe, warmed right up to them. You can trust Megan to care for your furry friends like they are her own.”

About: I have been watching our neighbors and family friend’s dogs and doing drop-ins since I was little. My family has also had a dog since I was in highschool. I take him on walks every evening and am responsible for feeding and letting him out when my family is out of town. As well as my sisters dog when she stays with us. I am available throughout the day to do drop-in’s, go on walks or spend time with them at home throughout the day. Aside from a random day I have plans, my schedule is very flexible. I have a dog I take on walks at home and enjoy being outside with. As well as playing/throwing their toys or sitting together at home.

“Dana takes superb care of our cats, including one who is semi-feral and traumatized. We first hired her when we had a diabetic cat who required insulin shots. Dana is a nurse, so she was fine with doing that. She takes time with kitties and sends us wonderful photos.”

About: I am an experienced pet care specialist holding a bachelor’s degree in Zoo Science, with an advanced specialization in exotic animals and herpetological care. My career in the pet care industry spans over a decade, beginning at age 13. Over the years, I have provided comprehensive services including dog walking, bathing, daily drop-ins, overnight care, and extended-stay boarding for dogs, cats, and small animals. My professional background includes serving as an animal care technician at two veterinary clinics, alongside completing two specialized summer internships in the bird and reptile departments at Zoo Knoxville (Tennessee). With over 1,000 hours of professional hands-on experience with exotic species, combined with a lifetime of domestic animal care, I offer a level of expertise that handles everything from high-energy dogs to delicate, specialized setups. As a dedicated pet owner myself to 2 cats and 2 snakes, I treat every animal in my care with the utmost respect, safety, and individual attention they deserve. Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine! While I do work a structured job, my schedule allows for great flexibility: Before & After Work: Available for extended morning or evening visits, long walks, and overnight care. Mid-Day Flexibility: I have an open mid-shift break that allows me to run out for quick drop-ins, potty breaks, or feedings. Consistency: My shift schedule means your pet gets a highly reliable, predictable care routine every day. I believe clear communication is the foundation of exceptional pet care. Your insights into your pet's unique routine, comfort levels, and behavior are invaluable to me. With my Zoo Science background and graduate-level studies in animal behavior, I am highly skilled at reading and adjusting to a wide variety of animal personalities. I have extensive experience managing complex behaviors, including crate and food aggression, and I know how to keep interactions safe, calm, and positive. Whether your pet has specific reactivity triggers or simply needs a patient approach, you can trust that I will respect your expectations and handle their care with professional expertise.
About: I’m a lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom of two, so I truly understand the importance of trusting the person caring for your pup. I have hands-on experience with dogs of all ages—from playful puppies to wise seniors—and I’m comfortable giving medication when needed. Whether it’s a neighborhood walk, a long hike, or some good old-fashioned cuddle time, I tailor each visit to your dog’s energy level and personality. My goal is always to keep tails wagging and pet parents worry-free. Pet care is naturally built into my daily life—I’m already walking, feeding, and loving on my two dogs every day. Adding extra walks, playtime, and check-ins for your pets fits seamlessly into my routine. I enjoy being active, so heading out for walks or hikes is something I look forward to, not something I “squeeze in.” Whether it’s weekdays or weekends, I make pet care a priority and keep a flexible schedule to meet the needs of both pets and their people. When pets are in my care, I treat them as if they were part of my family. In my own home, that means a safe, cozy environment, plenty of playtime, and regular walks to keep them happy and healthy. I keep routines consistent with what they’re used to—whether that’s mealtime schedules, medication, or favorite bedtime rituals. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of both the pet’s space and the family’s. I follow instructions carefully, ensure that food, water, and litter needs are met, and give each pet the level of attention and affection they’re comfortable with. Whether it’s a quick walk, a snuggle session, or a calm presence for a shy animal, I adapt to what each pet needs most.
About: Hey there! I’ve love and have been taking care of all kinds of animals since I was about 5 years old. I’ve had a few dogs, cats, and reptiles throughout my life. I currently have two cats named Duck and Goose and a 10 year old crested gecko named Bindi. I’m good with cats, dogs, reptiles, and some small animals as well. Even the shyest of pets seem to warm up to me. I’m currently working a full time job. My schedule can be a bit hectic but I’d love to watch your pets when I can! I will keep my calendar updated and be responsive to any requests. I have experience with feeding, brushing, and playing with cats and dogs, as well as walking dogs. I’m also experienced with feeding (including live insects - no mice) and cleaning up after reptiles, along with administering eye drops and oral medicine for them.
About: I have taken care of countless animals in my life. I truly adore them. I've raised llamas, mini donkeys, chickens, dogs, cats, hedgehogs, macaws, fish..to name a few! I believe animals are family. They enrich our lives and bring us happiness! I am currently retired and available frequently for boarding and/or daycare. I clean my yard daily, so no waste is evident. It is very important to me that your dog has all shots and is on a flea/tick preventative medication. I have a fenced yard, a doggie door that leads to the yard and a friendly labradoodle. I also have a cat, but she stays in her "own" room.

About: As a caregiver of humans, my number one asset for this job is patience. I am not easily startled or upset, and treat any accidents or change in plans as a reason to simply go with the flow. Having worked with medically complex newborns, colic babies, and overnight nanny shifts, I am well equipped to deal with a pet that might be anxious or jumpy because they miss their parent. I currently work as a nanny and doula, so my schedule fluctuates greatly. At times I may have multiple baby/mother clients, and at times I may only have one, and am seeking flexible caregiving work with animals to brighten my slower weeks. From my experience as a nanny and doula, I always prioritize safety, following caregiving instructions and bringing a calm energy to your home to make your pet feel comfortable and loved. I do not care for animals in my own home as my cat is happier being an only child. I offer drop ins and walks for cats and small/medium dogs. I have over five years experience working in other people’s homes with both animals and children, so I am very thorough and detail oriented, always remembering to shut doors behind me and keep things safely out of the reach of babies and animals. As a doula, I often enter people’s homes at a very vulnerable and chaotic time and so I am used to being a responsible source of stability as a caregiver.
“Jenn is great! She answers requests very promptly and is great with our three standard Poodles AND all the complicated instructions that go with them & our home! Thank-you Rover app for helping me find Jenn!”

About: I have experience with cats, Dogs, birds, and even pet rats! I treat every animal as if it were my own and love on all with my whole heart. I work full time. My days vary and I have every other weekend off. However, I can make adjustments as needed to fit your schedule to the best of my ability. I own my own home. I do not have a fenced in yard but am open to taking to parks or whatnot. I do also have a gated front porch. Requests of pictures and/or videos are welcome. Pets would also have free roam of the whole house as well.

As of July 2026, there are 1,250 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Southview. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Southview. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 92% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
