“Lori was wonderful taking care of our kitty Jasmine! She was great with sending updates each visit and tons of pictures which was very comforting. When we got home, I could tell she was well taken care of. We will definitely be using Lori again!”

About: Hello all my name is Danielle and I am here to give love to your fur babies. My husband and I are the loving owners of a 5 year St Bernard, 5 year old Anatolian shepherd, beautiful bird that is a green cheek conure. I have always loved animals and grew up next to a farm so I always was the kid trying to bring every stray kitten into the house. I grew up with many pets. 2 smaller mix breed dogs and 1 huge German shepherd I love them all!. I am available for walks drop in visits and overnights in my home only. I will be more than happy to care for your baby just as those on Rover whom have cared for mine. Send me a message to book! I am available evenings and weekends. I do have a full time job and do this in my free time. With my family support I can help others. My home is spacious and my dogs are very social with other dogs. I have a large back yard that is fully fenced in for more time to play outside. I am able to handle large dogs or any breeds. Happy to walk or sit with them in your home if needed. Ready to give lots of love.
About: I’ve taken care of friends and neighbors cats and dogs for about 10 years now. I also have dogs and cats of my own and have been a pet owner of dogs and cats since 2006. I currently work remote and have a flexible schedule. I can schedule drop in visits or walks throughout the day multiple times per week. I am flexible and can work with your schedule. I prefer to communicate or have a list provided by the pet owner to ensure I am not disrupting the cat or dogs schedule. The more I know about the pet, the better to ease the stress of the pet and the owner.
“Lindsay did such a great job watching our kitties while we were away! The hardest part of traveling for us is always leaving our cats behind. Usually we have a friend come to watch them but no one was available this time. Lindsay’s reviews made her an obvious choice. She stopped by a few days beforehand to meet the cats, see the layout of the house, and learn their hiding spots. She did her best to make both of our shy cats comfortable in their own ways. She was even offering to do extra work like fill the water fountains or clean the litter box to make sure our kitties were cared for in our absence. We will definitely book her again if we need someone in the future.”

“Karsyn made us feel so comfortable leaving our dogs for the weekend. Between all the check in’s and the photos, we knew our boys were in great hands! :) She is the absolute sweetest! We will definitely be using Karsyn for any future needs! :)”

“Abby is wonderful! She knows how to take good care of dogs and guinea pigs. Our pitbull mix Hazel got along with her really well. The guinea pigs were kept clean and healthy. I highly recommend her.”

“So cooperative & reliable. A road closure created a little bit issue, but they were able and willing to accommodate and committed to taking care of OUR buddy Mac. would definitely contact again, however, a little too”
“Sydnie was amazing! I had a lot to hand off to her in terms of care and meds for my cats and while my cats had their own ideas. she did so amazing and with so much grace. On time, communicative and just lovely to work with. Would definitely recommend and book again with her.”

“First time working with Jarett, he spent a lot more time than we expected him to just building trust and relationship with our dogs. He’s very prompt at communication and sending photos. Everything happened exactly how we asked him to.”

“I asked for a visit as I went out of town and needed someone for the last day as I had no idea what time I was coming home. I gave instructions and told him that he can leave after doing what was asked since I knew my cat was going to come out. I appreciate the stop by and making sure my cat had food as I was super worried that she was going to go hungry. Thank you for visiting and taking my request last minute.”

“Jenna was great! She was punctual. Communicative. Caring. She sent pictures. She came over for a meet and greet. It’s clear that she is responsible and I will definitely be asking her to drop in on the dogs in the future!”

“Ava has been a huge help with coming by in the middle of the day to let out and play with our 3 month old Aussie. We were nervous about leaving her when I went back to work, but Delta adjusted very well and gets so excited when Ava comes by. Ava spends the perfect amount of time with her, making sure she gets plenty of opportunities to relive herself, play and get water. She even keeps any eye out for any concerns. We really appreciate her timeliness everyday and flexibility whenever we require a last minute adjustment in the time that she stops by. We will continue to rebook her for drop-ins and hopefully for additional services in the future:)”
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats when younger and a bit recently. Friends and neighbors have used me to check in on their pets and taken care of them. I have had cats for 12 years and currently have two 3 year old cats! Currently open for any/all bookings and have plenty of time for caring and loving for your pets. I am not very busy so even if you need last minute bookings I will most likely be available to care for your pet. Will be very patient with your animal and make sure that they are as comfortable as they can be. Should not have issues with watching or walking your pet and am open to any lengths of walks. Will be willing to do long walks if that’s what your animal loves!
About: I helped my mom raise and train two Norwegian Elkhound puppies who are four years old now. They are my world and I visit them as much as I can. I work 3-4 days a week, I'm off Tuesday's, Wednesdays and every other weekend. I am new to this so shoot me a message if you want to set up an appointment. I am experienced with dogs who eat anything they can, so I would make sure your animals don't get into anything they aren't supposed to eat.
About: Growing up, I always had pets around my home. From a docile miniature Dachshund to an excitable (perhaps… crazy?) German Shepherd, I have taken care of dogs of various sizes and personalities! I love both over-excitable pups and older dogs who need extra support and care. In the past, I have spent time volunteering with Mastiffs to Mutts Rescue to transport rescue dogs from their foster homes to their forever homes, so I have experience handling very large dogs! I currently have two gray tabbies (a bonded pair of sisters) and grew up with other feline friends. I understand the kind of care they need when their favorite humans are away, whether they are skittish or brave adventurers! I'm currently a music teacher in Washington County, so I am tend to only take clients over holidays and throughout the summer months. I am also available on most weekends with at least 2 days notice. I live in a small home with my own cats, so I am not available for pet-sitting in my own home. However, I have experience pet-sitting and house-sitting and take extra care when in someone’s home. Security and safety of your pet and home is my first priority. I am more than willing to share updates and photos of your pet or home with you to ease any worries you may have while away from your furry friends!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 1,275 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Cecil. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cecil. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 92% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
