About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities. I have two dogs of my own who live back home with my family, a 14 year old Shih Tzu and 6 year old Cocker Spaniel/Golden mix, so I have lots of firsthand experience caring for dogs. However, there are currently no pets in the home where I provide boarding, so your dog will not be sharing the home with my personal pets! I’m comfortable with puppies, senior dogs, feeding schedules, walks, medications, and giving dogs plenty of attention and affection. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, so I’ll treat your dog like they’re my own and keep you updated while you’re away. I’m home pretty often between work and school and usually never leave for more than about three hours at a time during the week. On the weekends, I’m home all day. I live with 2 of my lifelong friends and my boyfriend, so between the four of us someone is always here to love on your pup! I’m especially interested in boarding dogs in my home and making sure they feel comfortable and included while their family is away. I want every dog staying with me to feel safe and at home. I’ll follow your dog’s normal feeding, potty, medication, and sleeping routine as closely as possible. I’m home frequently, so they won’t be left alone for long periods of time. I also have a dog park right next to my home, which makes it easy to get outside for potty breaks, exercise, and playtime. The dog park is typically empty so I consider it my “yard” but if your dog isn’t friendly we’ll be sure to just go for walks!

About: I am kind, caring and affectionate and I will respect your rules. I have been a pet owner for over 25 years. I have also been involved in caring for and rescuing many pets over the years. This has been my great joy. My home is pet friendly and pet safe. I understand how it feels to leave your beloved pets and I know how much it means to know that your sweet ones are feeling happy and well loved while you are away. I enjoy sending my clients pics of their pets during their stay. Providing secure accommodations and a fun place to stay is paramount. This is my absolute purpose, goal, and pleasure. Pet sitting is my only job. I am home all day. With your approval, your dogs will be free to enjoy inside or outside. I have a secure privacy fence and a pet door for easy access. Of course, if you prefer a more regimented potty break schedule and time outside, I am happy to oblige. I allow dogs to make themselves at home. Sitting on furniture is A-okay. (as long as you approve.) I will certainly respect your rules. I like our dog visitors to be comfortable, feeling safe and welcome. I have a ChiWeenie; who sleeps A LOT and keeps to herself mostly; however, she is friendly. I also have a very friendly and playful Jack Russell/Beagle mix who enjoys company. My yard is secure and fun. We also have patio furniture they can lounge on. I keep our upstairs access gated. Of course, I will follow your instruction in regard to their sleeping. I am happy to do a “meet and greet” prior to your scheduling.

I also have experience with special-needs, sick or end-of-life stages and can administer medicine and other treatments. I am extremely reliable and reachable at all times of the day. “Emily took wonderful care of my fur baby, Sugar, while we were visiting Nashville. She has a large fenced yard where the dogs can play, and I appreciated the extra safety measures she took. Emily put Sugar’s collar on in addition to her harness in case she somehow got loose, which showed me she was thinking ahead and treating Sugar like one of her own. Before I left, Emily carefully introduced Sugar to the other dogs and made sure everyone got along and that Sugar was comfortable. That gave me tremendous peace of mind. I felt completely comfortable leaving my girl in her care, and it was obvious Sugar was well loved and well cared for while we were away. I would happily trust Emily with Sugar again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and conscientious pet sitter.”

About: I've taken care of pets my entire life! Often neighbors, friends, and family have left their cats or dogs in my care whether due to work, travel, or emergencies. Being a caregiver just comes naturally to me, and I am inately intuned with the needs of the critters that come into my life. My sister and I used to work together to rescue and foster animals before she left for the military. We learned a lot, and helped hundreds of animals find furrever homes, prevented unnecessary euthanasia, and advocated fiercly for the pets in our care. I currently work from home with flexible hours so I can be there for you and your pets needs! I am incredibly flexible, have reliable transportation, and am prepared to brings pets into my home, or to come to yours to play! I like to work with pet parents to design stays around the needs and routines of the pets in my care whether that's exercise, medication administration, feeding schedules, vet visits, etc. I believe routines keep animals calm and feeling comfortable during stays at my home or in yours. I often reccomend calming care suggestions for pets who have paw-parents on vacations, but also offer some in my home as well as options for positive engagement activies to prevent boredom and support the redirection of destructive behaviors that can be triggered by anxious pets. When caring for pups, I often go to the dog park down the street, but I also have a nice unfenced yard behind my home and am in a cul-de-sac perfect for long walks. I am an avid runner, and enjoy taking pets on the trail close to my home for a run! I keep all dogs on leash in unfenced areas. I have separate rooms in my home, in the case of multiple pets and if they don't get along, but also for feeding multiple pets (if there are multiple in the home). I never leave pets from different homes unsupervised in the same space, and will do slow, supervised introductions to ensure any pets in my care are compatible. I do not have crates in my home, but if your pet has one, I often reccomend bringing it for longer stays as pets will often use it as a safe space in an unfamiliar area. Pets will have access to their crates, but will remain uncrated unless otherwise instructed by the pet parent (i.e. on short trips where I am out of the home, overnight, during feeding, etc.). I don't currently accept aggressive pets in my home, but may be open to visiting them in your home where they may be more comfortable!

About: Ever since I was little I’ve always had special bonds with dogs, more than I have with some humans. I’ve always wanted to help care for them as young as 5 years old. In more recent years, I have dog sat over night, over long weeks and just for walks and play time. My mom jokes that all dogs love me because they see a play mate in me, but I do know when to lay down the law. Currently I work remotely, and have few meetings throughout the day. I live alone - without any dogs of my own. I like to go for a walk a day myself, rain or shine, to get my blood moving. I love having human or dog friends join me! My number one concern is safety for the animals. If I’m babysitting a dog, I do like to have a discussion with my client to know the dogs needs, how they react to new people and dogs, and what I can do to best make the dog feel loved and cared for. I like to know their routines because animals do have a set routine. I believe communication and respect go a very long way for any relationship. Meeting the animals is a special moment as well as meeting their humans. I want to learn as much about the dog and human as possible before being alone with the animals. For cats, I do love cuddling or giving them their space, or even play time! Cats have their routines and needs just as much as dogs do, and I want to respect their boundaries as much as possible.

About: Pets have always been a central part of my life. I grew up with dogs and have cared for them over the years, and I’ve had cats my whole life. I know how to read their behavior, keep routines consistent, and make sure your pet feels at ease whether you’re gone for a few hours or a few days. I work full time but I have plenty of flexibility to take care of your pet! I go into the office 3 times a week but I am off work by 3:30pm. I can do early mornings, late nights and weekends! I come to your home, so your pet gets to stay exactly where they’re most comfortable — in their own space, with their own smells, routines, and hiding spots. I follow your instructions closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, litter box preferences, or which spots are off-limits. I’ll always send updates and photos so you know your pet is happy and well cared for.
