Availability
Saori works part-time from home, and therefore has a lot of flexibility to play with your pooch and spend quality time together! On a typical day, we take dogs for a walk on the quiet neighborhood streets, on the trails in Shelby Bottoms, or in the dog park (if they are up for it). On weekends, we like to take a longer walk on trails whenever we can, and have plenty of cozy downtime at home in between. Given our own dog's separation anxiety, someone is always at home. If we ever need to leave them alone, we will let you know.

We have fenced-in front and back yards where your pup can enjoy a sniffing adventure, playing fetch, or sunbathing on the lawn. We have dog beds throughout the house, and our canine guests are allowed on any furniture. We do not crate our dog, but can keep the same routine you have at home and let your dog sleep wherever they are most comfortable. We feed our dog twice a day and can accommodate other schedules or feeding dogs separately.

Hi! We are Saori and Jonathan. We love pups and hope to take care of yours. Jonathan grew up caring for his family dog, and we have regularly taken care of friends' dogs for 10+ years. We finally adopted our own rescue dog in 2020 (an adorable little Beagle named Alfie), who has taken a *very* long time to come out of his shell. We have a lot of experience working with professionals to improve Alfie's anxiety. That experience has taught us a lot about reading dog body language and the importance of creating an environment that makes nervous dogs more comfortable. Your dog will get that same loving, calm energy here. We strive to make our home a dog-friendly location safe for every dog.

Jonathan and Saori took our puppy Ziggy (1 year old at the time) into their home at the last minute and were amazing with her. They gave regular updates and were so patient and kind with her. It was hard for us to leave her but they made it so easy. They took on all our requests around food, walks and sleeping patterns (she sleeps in the bed with us) and helped Ziggy feel like it was her second home. Plus Ziggy become great walking buddies with their dog, Alfie, which was great practice for our young tearaway who needed an older head to guide her! Overall they are just caring and lovely people who are awesome with dogs and also with the humans who drop them off and pick them up before and after their stay. Would recommend them without a second thought to anyone!
Jonathan and his wife are such a thoughtful, gentle, and kind couple, as well as incredible dog parents. i was their neighbor so i was able to see first-hand how their patient and attentive care of their rescue dog Alfie literally transformed him from a very anxious and extremely scared pup into a sociable and friendly member of their family. They were the only people that my rescue dog who was also really anxious and fearful would go to when I first adopted her. Jonathan and his wife love dogs and it shows in how they interact with all the dogs with whom they come in contact. Dogs can sense when they are with humans who help them feel safe and well cared for, and I would absolutely leave my pup with them.
