“A big thank you to Brittnye and her husband for taking care of my cat while I was away for two weeks. She took care of my cat as if he was her own. Even went to my apartment on an unscheduled day because I thought I forgot to close one of my doors. This petsitter will go above and beyond for you and your beloved pet. Can’t go wrong with Brittnye!”

“Brittany is great ! This was my first time using rover but she was kind enough to come out and meet my pups before actually starting. I have two big kinda crazy dogs and she knows how to handle them. My big guy who is normally a little shy loved her right away and went in his kennel and brought her his toy ? will definitely continue using her !”

“Bridgett took really good care of my doggy baby Maxx she was very consistent and updated me every visit with pictures and notes of the day her and my dog had which he seemed to be sooo happy and content!! I hope to use her again in the near future🌟”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and love getting to know each pet’s unique personality! Before pursuing Occupational Therapy, I completed coursework on a pre-veterinary track, giving me additional knowledge of animal care. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages and energy levels, from playful puppies to senior companions. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing fetch, going for a run, or just relaxing with company, I’m happy to tailor my care to their routine. I’ll always treat your pet like family and keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away. I recently graduated with my Master’s in Occupational Therapy and am currently studying for my board exam, which gives me a flexible schedule throughout the week. I’m available on both weekdays and weekends and will always do my best to accommodate your pet’s routine. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’ll follow your care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special needs. “Chelsea was absolutely phenomenal in caring for my kitten. As someone new to using Rove and very protective of my kitten I wanted to ensure I found the right person, and Chelsea exceeded all expectations. She was incredibly attentive to every instruction and truly treated my kitten as if it were her own, which is what stood out most to me. What really impressed me was her dedication and level of care. She didn’t just see my kitten as another booking and she genuinely cared and sent many updates. When a medical issue came up, Chelsea went above and beyond by promptly informing me, handling the situation, and administering medication. It gave me complete peace of mind knowing my kitten was in such capable hands. I would highly recommend Chelsea to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate to care for their pets. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“My 2 dogs love Todd and Gail! It almost feels like the dogs are looking for Todd & Gail when I first get home. My little kitty just hides when they come over. She is not a fan of people she doesn't see a lot. I will use Todd and Gail every time I go out of town!”

About: I’ve had animals all my life and have been caring for dogs and horses for the past 6 years. Friends and family have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, and care for their pets while they’re away. I’m dependable, patient, and treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I’m currently working toward a career in veterinary medicine, so caring for animals isn’t just something I enjoy it’s my passion. My goal is to make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m currently on summer break from college and working a part-time job, so pet sitting is a great way for me to spend more time doing something I truly enjoy caring for animals. My work schedule is Thursday through Saturday, and I’m available after I get off work on those days. I’m also available on my days off and will do my best to accommodate your pet care needs. I believe in keeping pet parents updated and making sure every pet receives the love, attention, and care they deserve. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely play and explore, as well as three friendly small dogs who are well-socialized and can provide companionship if your pet enjoys being around other dogs. For drop-in visits, I understand that inviting someone into your home requires trust. I’ll always respect your home, carefully follow your pet’s routine, and make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. About: I have been around all types of pets my whole life. Dogs, cats, birds, even horses. I worked at an animal hospital for 2 years in Georgia and learned about handling, as well as giving medications and some grooming. I am a full time teacher at a local elementary school. I have weekends and most holidays off. I am off work and home by 4:15 during the week and around all the time on weekends except for the quick outing for dinner or the grocery store. Your pet is my priority. If you need me to stay with them overnight I will, if your pet needs meds or shots given I will do that too. I will try to keep your pet on the same schedule you have for them. Feeding as you do and water available at all times. Exercise is important just like snuggle times!
About: Growing up, I have always had pets. We have had both dogs and cats that I had to care for since a young age. As I’ve gotten older, I have been watching friends’ pets when they go out of town. In 2019, I made a Facebook post about my dog sitting that caught many people’s attention. I had many responses that led to lots of pet sitting that summer. Every summer since 2019, my schedule has been completely booked up with pet sitting in my area. I have experience with small dogs, big dogs, puppies, older dogs, and cats. I have experience giving both oral and injectable medications. I have spent time volunteering at the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County, Southern Pines Animal Shelter, and the West Memphis Animal Shelter. I am very comfortable being around both dogs and cats, understanding their body language, and caring for them. I am a social work graduate student in the North MS area. I have an internship 3 days a week and class 2 nights per week. My best availability is Friday-Monday, because I don’t have class or internship on those days. I am unable to bring pets into my home because I have 2 roommates with 4 cats. However, I would love to care for your animals in your home! If your home is accommodating to your pets, then it should be no problem. I also have a car that I can put dogs in to take them to a dog park or to a walking trail.

Bridgett is AMAZING. One of my pups can be a bit of a handful but Bridgett is superwoman and came through with so much grace and knowledge. She sent the best photos of them while she dropped in to take care of them. I certainly look forward to having Bridgett look after them in the future. Book Bridgett with confidence!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
