“Nadia did a great job winning my babies over and making them feel comfortable. My puppy is weary of all strangers but she warmed up to Nadia swiftly and was wagging her tail and excited when she came to let them out the next day.”

“She was great..! I left for 3 days and she dropped in and took care of my babies for me..! And communicated very well with me when she had questions..! Overall I will be booking with with Kari again.! Most of all my babies loved her and she had no problem with them.!”

I work outside the home afternoons but I am fully home on weekends. Your pets will get all the attention they need in my care. My home is very safe. About: Hi! I’m Taylor, and caring for animals has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. After recently moving back home to Olive Branch, Mississippi, I’m excited to start pet sitting again and connect with fellow pet lovers in the community. I work in restaurant management and run a small finance business, but animals have always held a special place in my heart. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, enrichment activities, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I have experience caring for animals of all kinds, ages, breeds, sizes, and personalities. Every pet is unique, and I’m committed to following their routine and providing the individualized care they deserve. Whether you have dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, reptiles, fish, or other beloved companions, I’ll treat them like family. I’ll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pets are in caring hands. My goal is simple: to give every pet the same love, patience, and attention I’d want for my own. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry, feathered, or scaly family members! 🐾❤️ I know leaving your pet with someone new can be stressful. My goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable from the very first meet-and-greet. I treat every animal with the same patience, love, and respect I’d want for my own.❤️ Pet care fits naturally into my routine! I work in restaurant management and also run a small finance business, but I intentionally keep my schedule organized so I can provide dependable care. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight care, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, love, and timely care while you’re away. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved in whatever environment they’re most familiar with. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise routines, and any special care needs. I believe communication is just as important as great pet care, so I’ll send regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind while you’re away.
“Todd was great! This was our first experience with a drop in or Rover in general and we are super happy we gave it a chance. Todd showed us just how easy it is to have a reliable person swing in for our fur babies when we can’t be there. The dogs LOVED him! We will absolutely utilize Todd & Gail again”

About: I am an animal lover to the end! I will love your pets like they are my own! I understand that pets are part of the family, so for your peace of mind I will keep you updated with messages and photos of your pets while they are in my care! I can be available anytime for your pet needs! I love animals of all shapes and sizes! I am very fun loving and responsible! Your pets will join my daily routine effortlessly! Why I love dog sitting I have always loved dogs! I grew up with a dog in my home, a beautiful English springer spaniel who was definitely a member of our family, going everywhere with us! When she passed away my senior year in high school, I begged my mom to get another one! She refused and I had to wait until I got my own place. I got my own dog the same day I moved out! :-)
“We couldn’t be happier with our experience! Bailey went above and beyond to make sure our dogs felt comfortable and loved while we were away. We received regular updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter! Thanks again Bailey!!”

“I am so thankful I found Melissa! Toby LOVES her and is always so excited to see her! She has taken such good care of him on her drop-ins - she plays with him, loves on him and makes sure he has everything he needs and that I have requested for him. She is a jewel!!”

“My second time hiring Brittany! Very good communication and timely. Brought my Amazon package in and everything was just how we left it with the pets and house! A very rusted sitter. Officially a regular client of hers!”

About: Hi there! I’m a fun-loving, dependable dog walker who truly believes every dog deserves plenty of love, attention, and adventure. Whether your pup is full of energy and ready to explore or prefers a leisurely stroll with lots of sniff breaks, I’m happy to meet them wherever they’re at! I love getting outside, staying active, and making sure every walk feels like the highlight of your dog’s day. You can expect plenty of belly rubs, playtime, positive attention, and of course, lots of happy tail wags! 🐶❤️ Your pet’s safety and happiness are always my top priorities. I’ll treat your furry family member with the same care and patience I’d want for my own. I’m also happy to send updates and photos along the way, so you can relax knowing your pup is having a great time. I’m currently waiting to start my job but it takes a large amount of paper work and have plenty of time for the next month. Once I start working I’ll be able to also do it on my day off. My yard is large and I have a friendly dog who loves to play. My neighborhood is also very shaded so dogs are able to take nice shaded walks.
“Samantha met my wife and I before her first visit with our cat. She was friendly, knowledgeable and put us at ease immediately. She visited with our cat Marbles for 4 days and she kept us informed prior, during and after each visit. She took pictures, played with him, made sure he had food and water and made sure his litterbox was cleaned. I couldnt ask for better. I will be contacting her everytime we need a sitter. I highly recommend her to care for your pets.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs and many different animals since I was a child! I had many pets ranging from birds, frogs, iguanas, hermit crabs, ferrets, cats, and dogs. I have always been an animal lover! I unfortunately do not get to have a pet of my own due to my husband being in the Air Force. Which means we move around a lot. This has been really hard for me considering the fact that my whole life I’ve been acclimated to caring for and loving pets. Being able to care for your pet while we are stationed here in the Memphis area would fulfill my dreams of being able to take care of animals. I’m currently a stay at home mom and disabled veteran. As long as my kids are at school (7 AM-2 PM) I am 100% available! Outside of those hours I could pet sit for you at my home! I can accommodate depending on your preferences for your fur baby and depending if they are potty trained. I have a 2800 sq ft home. And a huge back yard for your fur baby to play in.
“Melissa was fantastic! She is a true animal lover and took great care of my fur babies! She was great from the start- setting up a meet and greet and making sure she knew exactly what to do. She sent pictures and updates throughout and I would highly recommend her! She went above and beyond! My animals loved her and look forward to her next visit!”

About: I have been a dog mom to my fur baby since March 2020. Vader, my dog, was adopted from he shelter and did not have much home training and my husband and I trained him to be the well behaved dog he is now. Friends of mine have relied on me in the past to let their dogs out and feed them while being busy with other obligations. I grew up around dogs and cats and love them. During the week I work long days. 7am-4pm. I am an active duty soldier but majority of weekends I am completely free to pet sit, board, or walk/ feed fur babies. I am also avialable on the weekdays at night ( after 5pm) and super early in the morning ( before 6:30 am) to feed/ walk. I live in a spacious 2 bedroom apartment with my 3 yr old dog. There is a dog park on the property of my apartment complex with plenty of area to roam and play. I can crate your dogs at night or during the daytime if that is something you prefer or they need in order to feel comfortable. My dog is sweet and friendly and would be a perfect playmate during your pet's stay. I am a dual military spouse and my husband is away for military training for the next couple months so as I am taken good care of your fur baby they will be keeping me company as well!! Look forward to loving and caring for your fur babies as if they were my own!!!

Would book Marie over and over! So kind and pays attention to detail both with the care of our pets but also our home as well. The check-in cards were heartfelt and with sweet photos, didn't feel like it was "required" and made us feel so great about who was watching our fur babies😊

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
