About: I’ve taken care of pets for my co-workers and friends for the past several years while they traveled out of town for an extended amount of time. I make sure to check-in every day, feed them, and make sure they get enough attention. I am raising money for marathons I have signed up for over the next year. I’m preparing to run the Marine Corps Marathon and aim to run the Boston Marathon. I usually work evenings from 3-11pm Wednesdays through Sundays and I will have time to take care of your pet in the mornings before I get ready for work. When I am in charge of your pet, I make sure sure they have the food the need to remain healthy, give them a walk when they need it, and provide them with enough attention.

I’ve also worked for a pet supply company where I spent 3 years there, with one of them being a pet care associate. There I was trained on taking care of a wide variety of animals such as kittens / cats, reptiles, aquatics, and small animals like guinea pigs and chinchillas. I’d feed these animals daily, clean up their habitats, and provide them with their medication whenever necessary. I’m a recent graduate and just received my Bachelors degree, but I’m looking to do a bit more work doing something I truly enjoy 😊 I’m currently working Monday- Friday 7-4, but will soon be available Fridays. I’m free weekends, early mornings before I head into work, and later evenings. As long as enough information and resources are provided, I’m completely open to caring for pets with medical conditions, specific dietary guidelines, and other animals besides dogs and cats. Puppies, kittens, small animals, large animals, and elderly animals are all welcomed. When bringing pets outside for their walks or to dog parks I do bring my doggy bags, a small first aid kit, as well as a small air horn specifically meant for stopping animal attacks. Potty time can be limited to specific nearby areas if necessary, or simply walks and can be done every 2 hours. Please make note of any physical limitations to ensure safety during play time 😊

About: I have been caring for dogs since I was 16, typically for friends and family members. I currently own a 2 year old pit bull mix named Milo, and my husband and I adopted a chihuahua mix last year as well. Both our dogs were completely untrained when we adopted them so we spent countless hours training and supporting them. Now, both our dogs are fully house trained as well as trained off leash, with amazing recall. I am currently in between jobs, so my schedule is very open. Typically, I take my dogs on 1-3 walks a day depending and also allow them to just roam and sniff around where possible. I can ensure your pets safety and will follow any and all rules you have set in place for your pet! “i trust alix with my cats’ lives!!! she’s so good with them and i see how much they love her. i get tons of photos everytime she’s with them :). she even made them a little pet report card when taking care of them for the first time, which i thought was the sweetest thing ever. her passion for taking care of animals is apparent in her work. alix has done tons of drop ins at my apartment. she always made sure the water was always full and litter box was clean. i traveled for 2.5 weeks and i was in awe at how amazing she was. my cats’s food ran out while i was traveling and i freaked out but she picked up my package and did everything for me. once, the electricity in my building went out and she even went back in AGAIN to make sure their automatic feeder and water fountain were back on. it’s not easy trusting strangers to come into your home, but im so glad i found alix. i genuinely recommend her, she’s amazing.”
