“Heather was awesome! My cats seemed at ease when I got home, she sent me pictures of every visit along with updates on how they were doing. Based on how calm the cats were, it was obvious that she sat and gave them love with each visit. Heather also went above and beyond in trying to get my male cat to take his meds which is no easy task. She showed up as scheduled and even took the time to water my plants - which was most appreciated. I am glad that she and I connected. My cats received excellent care.”
“Benjamin was amazing with my cat Pigeon. He's extremely thoughtful, kind, and went above and beyond to make sure my boy was comfortable while I was out of town for the holidays. He communicated every day, sent lots of pictures, and gave my cat the quality human time he very much needs. Pigeon loved hanging with him, and should I need to leave again, I know who to call!”

About: I’ve been taking care of all sorts of animals since I was young. Walking, training and feeding dogs… scooping litter boxes, feeding and playing with cats… almost anything you can imagine when it comes to pet care! I’ve handled young puppies all the way to senior dogs (and kittens to cats as well). I’ve learned how to potty train and administer medication to the pets who need it. I’m currently looking for some extra work to save up for a place of my own. At the moment, I work morning shifts (5-12). Im looking for afternoon or overnight shifts! This could include walking, feeding, or a play and potty break! Pets in my house are treated with the most love and care I can provide. Lots of playtime and sometimes naps when both needed. I’m confident in my ability to handle anything needed from my clients and to take care of your animals as if they were my own. While your pets are in my care, they will be the center of my attention, and will get lots of walks and playtime, and for senior dogs, lots of belly rubs.
“Hannah was wonderful! This is our second time booking with her. She took such excellent care of our cat, Truck, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were out of the country. She’s incredibly responsive and dependable. Its such a relief to have a cat sitter you can truly trust. Truck was happy and well cared for. We would absolutely recommend Hannah to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. We’ll definitely be booking her again!”

“Thank you again so much for the wonderful care, communication and flexibility!! Great pix of Moose too - that puppy face doesn’t lie, and he is a happy boy in the yard with you! Many thanks”

About: I've been around dogs since I was a child, and I see them as part of the family. I got my first dog when I was eleven, but our house grew and grew with multiple dogs, and I currently help care for my family's six dogs. In addition, my parents and I have fostered dogs together, which gave me hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, and backgrounds, including those who needed extra patience, structure, and reassurance while adjusting to new environments. I have years of experience dog sitting for family, friends, and neighbors, including overnight stays, feeding routines, walks, playtime, and giving my full affection and attention. Through fostering, I learned how to read dog behavior, help dogs feel safe in unfamiliar situations, and learned to support basic routines and transitions. What sets me apart is how attentive I am to learning each pet's individual needs. I will always take the time to learn their routines, levels of energy, and their own personalities so they can feel safe, comfortable, and loved by me while their owners are away. I'm currently a part-time student, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be very present and attentive to the pets I'm caring for. I'm able to plan my days around feedings, walks, playtime, and check-ins, so your pets will receive consistent care throughout the day. My top priorities are always to create a safe, trusting environment and to ensure a comfortable atmosphere. I make sure all pets feel secure, calm, and loved. I carefully follow each owner's instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, routines, and house rules to maintain consistency as needed and possible. In a client's home, I treat the space with respect and keep everything clean and organized. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are always secure, and I'm very mindful of my surroundings during walks. I also take the time to get to know each pet's personality so I know how to respond appropriately to their needs and comfort levels. Communication is key, so I always provide regular updates, photos, and messages to give pet parents peace of mind. My goal is to create a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where all pets feel comfortable and cared for, and each owner feels confident they've left their pets in good hands.
“Alma has been wonderful! She has done drop in visits for my two cats and they love her. Both of my cats require inhalers and she was great at following instructions and administering their medication. Alma shows up on time and always provides photos of her visit. My cats are happiest at home and I'm so glad she helps make that possible!”

“Kristy took such good care of our kitties when we were away! We had never used Rover before so we were a little skeptical, but Kristy did so amazing and made us feel so much better about having to leave our kitties for the weekend. We will definitely be using her again if we have to go anywhere! Thank you so much!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
