About: I’ve been watching dogs for years, and I’ve had one almost my entire life. Neighbors, families and friends have always relied on me with their dogs. For the last two years, I owned a beautiful golden retriever that unfortunately recently passed away due to a rare disease called mega-esophagus which developed into aspirational pneumonia. With that being said, I have a lot of experience caring for dogs with special needs. LGBTQ+ friendly 🏳️🌈 I work primarily from home, so I have a lot of flexibility. I’m available mostly any day, any time, except before 11am. I will make your pet my priority! If interested, feel free to view my professional LinkedIn profile by searching Eric Barbieri in South Amboy, NJ. Relax while you’re gone and know that you’re pup is in good hands. I prefer to only watch 2 dogs at a time, unless the owner has more, but a maximum of 3.

About: I have had the privilege to provide care for family and friend’s fur babies for over fifteen years. They relied on me for pop in visits, long walks, sleep overs, etc. I have a wide range of skills as I have had experiences with dogs in Xlarge and small, puppy and senior, friendly and protective, etc. I love all the pups I meet and treat them as if they are my own! I am currently a full time educator. My formal work day ends at 3:00pm. I would be available Monday-Friday in the afternoon and evening for walks and stop ins. I cannot care for pets in my home, as my apartment does not allow that. However, I am more than willing to care for your fur baby in their home environment. I have crate trained dogs myself and am open to using baby gates as well. Safety is a top priority for all doggos: door shut, gates closed, and arms open!

About: Hi! I’m Jackie, a lifelong animal lover with a soft spot for dogs, cats, and senior pets. I grew up with dogs and have always been comfortable around them, their energy, and their routines. As an adult, I’m a proud cat mom, which has given me a deep appreciation for feline personalities, boundaries, and the quieter kind of companionship. I understand that pets aren’t just animals—they’re family, and trusting someone with them is a big deal. I’m patient, attentive, and very detail-oriented when it comes to routines, feeding instructions, medications, and comfort needs. I work from home, which allows me to be present, responsive, and flexible with schedules. I especially enjoy providing calm, reassuring care for pets who may be shy, anxious, older, or just prefer a quieter environment. Whether your pet loves playtime, long walks, or simply having someone nearby for comfort and companionship, my goal is always to help them feel safe, loved, and relaxed while giving you peace of mind when you’re away. Pet care fits easily into my routine because I work part time and have a very flexible schedule, allowing me to be present, responsive, and attentive to pets throughout the day. I care for pets by closely following their established routines so they feel safe and comfortable in a familiar environment. I take time to understand each pet’s feeding schedule, walking needs, litter or potty routines, medications, and any special instructions provided by their owner. In a client’s home, I’m respectful, clean, and attentive, making sure pets receive plenty of companionship, enrichment, and reassurance while maintaining their normal daily rhythm. I prioritize calm, positive interactions and never rush care. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a quiet, low-stress environment with close supervision, lots of attention, and regular updates to owners. I’m especially mindful of safety, comfort, and cleanliness. I communicate regularly with photos and updates so owners feel confident and connected while they’re away, and I always adjust my care style based on each pet’s personality, energy level, and needs.
“everything went exceptionally well with Kevin taking care of Darla and River. Kevin was punctual, followed instructions that were left and interacted with the dogs extremely well. I give him 5 STARS and will use him when his services are required in the future.”
“Lauren was absolutely wonderful and took such great care of my cat while I was away on vacation. She sent me updates and pictures every visit and was so patient with my shy kitty who spent her first few visits hiding. They ultimately became best buds which made me feel so much better about being away. I would definitely recommend Lauren and would definitely have her again!”

I’m responsible, gentle, and truly love animals, and I always try to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I already care for my own cat every day. I currently work part-time and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets attention, playtime, walks, feeding, and companionship. I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I understand how important trust and safety are when caring for someone’s pet. I always try to create a calm, safe, and loving environment where pets feel comfortable. About: I’m Stacy! I have owned several dogs, birds & guinea pigs throughout my life starting at young age. My love for animals is undeniable. My most recent dogs were a Shetland Sheepdog & a Greyhound. I currently do not have any pets, as I enjoy traveling. Your pet will be in great hands, as I am very conscientious & reliable. I have been a Registered Dental Hygienist for the last 20 years. I would like to balance my time walking dogs for those who do not have a flexible schedule as I currently do! I live in a quiet development with park like amenities. I do not have a yard so your dog will be walked on a leash in a private neighborhood with no traffic.

“Kimberly has been extremely reliable and took great care of Penny, Kimberly also made multiple visits at home to ensure my cat was doing okay! Thankyou so much and also thanks a lot for accepting last minute request it was really helpful and lot of relief.”

“Jasmin was so lovely and made me feel really comfortable leaving my cats, even in a period when they've both been having some minor health issues! She also took great pictures :).”

“Laura provided excellent service and communication regarding our cats while we were gone for 9 days. My 2 senior cats need daily medication (oral pills and topical cream) and Laura was comfortable with this situation. When we booked our vacation, months ago, they didn't need any medication, so finding the right sitter leading up to our time away was stressful for me, but Laura was great and helped me feel more at ease while on our big family vacation. It turned out that one of my cats would hide with each visit, which I'm sure was annoying to manage, but Laura stuck with it. We can't thank her enough for caring for our aging cats!”
About: I've grown up taking care of pets; my childhood cat and my cousin's dog. I've cared for my neighbor's animals and currently have both a cat and a dog. My family and I trained my dog at home and I can help reinforce any training you're doing with your animal. I'm currently a college student in Boston and I'm looking to walk or sit pets as a part-time job and stay connected to my love for animals! During the winter and summer break, I have few commitments and can be very flexible with my hours and your pet's needs. I can do long walks for dogs, feed, play, clean up, and other general needs for both cats and dogs! I'm happy to send photo updates throughout the day if sitting or have flexible hours with whatever time your dog is typically walked!
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and am a huge dog lover. As I have yet to get a pup of my own, I’ve been sitting for family, friends, and family friends for more than 5 years, where I mainly housesit. I’ve had experience watching dogs of all ages, from grumpy seniors with medication to lively puppies who need extra clean up time, to anxious Covid babies. I am very detail-oriented as I respect that each dog has their personal routine and want to ensure that not much is disrupted for them when I visit/stay. I understand the importance of keeping in contact with owners (only to the extent that you wish to be contacted) throughout the day. I guarantee that I will take plenty of photos of your pet and will be happy to share them! Note: I am based in LES, NYC for the summer. I work fully remotely, so I'm flexible to working with your pet's schedule when housesitting. I'm available for afternoon walks, or to come to housesit from the evenings usually. I'm also willing to travel to housesit (I've travelled to DC before!), though this would require travel coverage as part of compensation. ***For house sits of 1 week or longer, I ask owners to support in covering my meals. Gift cards or a stocked fridge are very much appreciated! *** I tend to ask clients for a document with their pet's daily routine, and how their behaviours are. I will care for your pets as you would advise to care for them in order to maintain consistency and not confuse them. Afterall, I am the guest in staying in their space should I be housesitting. For walks and drop-ins, I would like to also respect your pet's routine and ensure that they are comfortable and at ease.
“Jamie has taken care of my 2 cats multiple times now and always does a great job! Whether it’s extras like making sure Cat TV is on for them, feeding, treats and playtime, the cats are always happy and well taken care of when I come back from trips :)”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
