Viana was absolutely wonderful with my dog, Lucy! She arrived right on time, took Lucy on a nice long walk, and followed every instruction I left. I asked her to wipe Lucy’s paws after the walk since I have white furniture and to give her a treat afterward, and she did both without me having to remind her. It gave me peace of mind knowing Lucy was well cared for and that my home stayed clean. I really appreciate Viana’s reliability, attention to detail, and care for Lucy. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog walker!

About: I recently worked at a professional dog daycare, where I cared for and supervised dogs every day. My experience includes group play, handling dogs with different personalities and energy levels, monitoring behavior, and keeping dogs safe and comfortable throughout the day. I’ve been around dogs my entire life and currently have two Boxers of my own. I trained both of them and have plenty of experience with energetic, intelligent dogs who need both physical exercise and mental stimulation. Through my work, I’ve been trained to read canine body language and recognize signs of excitement, stress, anxiety, overstimulation, and when a dog needs space. I’m comfortable working with dogs of all different sizes, temperaments, and energy levels, and I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and individual needs. I’d love the opportunity to give your pup one-on-one attention and provide the same thoughtful care I give the dogs I work with every day. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have open availability and can dedicate plenty of time to the pets in my care. I’m able to be flexible with walks, drop-ins, and sitting schedules, and I enjoy having the opportunity to build my day around each pet’s individual needs. In my home I have two very playful and friendly dogs! One likes to rough house and the other is gentle but I always keep an eye on them when they are playing together, around other dogs, and with other dogs that are not each other. I have a fenced backyard that has plenty of room to run around in!

About: I trained my own dog, but I am not a professional and I groom my mom‘s dog every chance that I get and she loves it every time I do, I respect animals and their space, I’m learning more about dogs and cats and all types of animals everyday I don’t have a job right now but I am working on getting one. I only volunteer at a church every Tuesday's at 7am - 12pm or a little later on. I can feed and water them, I can play with them. I can walk them or let them outside in the back if the owners have a backyard area that has a fence. I have a doggie door, to let the dogs in the backyard. And if your dog isn’t trained to go through a doggie door I can teach them

About: I’ve had rescue dogs for over 50 years. I’ve had medium and large dogs. I have flown to different states to babysit my kids dogs for weeks at a time. I work part time with a flexible schedule and would be able to stop in and take care of your dog anytime of the day. I have a condo that has a large back yard that your dog would have plenty of room. I can also crate your dog if you prefer.

My dogs were happy to meet Miss Omi. She was super kind and communicates a lot, which made me feel at ease leaving my pups in her care. Archie is a barker, but she didn’t seem to mind that he has nervous energy and worked to get him comfortable with her. Will book again!

Drop off your dog for a structured day of professional behavior training! I participate in local events, fundraising and Hound Around Town monthly. I have since expanded my efforts with Husky Haven of Florida as a transport for rescues. I’ve worked at Disney’s pet resort & dog daycare in downtown Orlando. 💯 My base rate listed on my profile covers standard, high-quality care (feeding, potty breaks, and companionship). Since I am a certified dog trainer, the context described above is offered as an active Training Add-On Package for an extra $15 per day. Just be sure to brief me in your contact message and we can discuss together further in detail. With dog training as my core, and having an Executive Assistant professional background of over 20 years, calendar maintenance comes natural and my availability is easily workable around varying schedules. If I’m not at the dog park or training, I can be available for services as necessary. I focus on science-backed methods that are mindful and effective, while integrating enrichment, affection, stimulation (both mentally and physically), rest breaks, sniffy walks, play time and cuddles. I prioritize the pet parents requests and instructions, aligned with fulfillment that meets the dog’s foundational needs.

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
